- wonderchemist, on 04/10/2009, -6/+768FTA: They're threatening Marcus' life and saying, "When we get out, we're coming for you next. First it was your dog. It's going to be you next. You don't know who you're messin' with."
My money is on the SEAL. - wonnk13, on 04/09/2009, -22/+653Jesus christ that's ***** up. There is special in hell for ***** like this, what happened to having respect for all forms of life?
- noahgelman, on 04/10/2009, -9/+576If you ask a cop, "Do you know who I am" and the cop replies "Yes sir" you know you're a bad ass
- inactive, on 04/09/2009, -24/+489Today on Glenn Beck radio show they played Marcus's 911 call right after he found and started chasing these punks who shot his dog.
It went through the car chase he was in to keep up with these punks @ 110 mph.
I was so amazed @ his calmest. T
he 911 telephone person told him to please slow down so he wouldn't get hurt and he said "Mam I am fine
I am a Navy Seal and I know what I am doing".
It was really a cool and fascinating thing to listen to. - Ryansmellsfarts, on 04/09/2009, -12/+372Who the ***** kills a dog?? Let one of the police german shepherds loose on them for a few minutes imo.
- slicemaster101, on 04/10/2009, -27/+290you've got to be ***** kidding me! digging down a story because it was on Beck's show? i am no fan of beck, or fox, or any main stream media for that matter but some of the users here on Digg are just plain stupid. who cares who presented the story? if its interesting then digg it, if its not digg it down but be sure to base your conclusions on the story not whos show it was on. to do that would be just plain moronic. any one who does that is a ***** *****.
- inactive, on 04/09/2009, -24/+249Dugg for my friend bossm4n, dugg for Marcus, dugg for justice and dugg bc i am a dog lover and this killed me.
I posted a similar article on this a couple of days ago if anyone wants to take a look and see Marcus and his team in uniform :)
http://digg.com/politics/Punks_Kill_American_Hero_ ... - ZincSaucier, on 04/10/2009, -3/+202nothing but respect for this guy, he has been through more than I ever will. I am thankful he didn't kill any of these guys, because he would have probably ended up in jail, and that would be just plain *****.
- random90210, on 04/10/2009, -4/+192They're not really 'teen punks' they're 18-24 year olds. let's hope that by the time they're out of prison they will be 60-66 year olds.
- Velvethammer2, on 04/09/2009, -24/+204Proven fact that many who harm animals turn to humans. Their sick twisted way to work up the ladder of depravity.
May they ROT in hell.
No scratch that, they WILL rot in hell. - Jpatano, on 04/10/2009, -2/+174yeah... i mean this is a guy that can probably take all 4 of them down with clean headshots from a pistol at about 50 yards or better. This is a guy who has been there, done that, and has a closet full of the t-shirts... These douchebags really want to ***** with this guy ? He had a pistol pressed against the guys forehead basically, if he lives out on a ranch in the country he COULD have popped all four of these ***** and there would be nobody left to go against his side of the story.
yeah, they shot my dog, then they pointed the gun at me. That's why there's 4 bodies in my backyard. - Jpatano, on 04/10/2009, -4/+174I find it even funnier that not only did the cop know who he was, but he called him sir.
sure maybe they are trained to call everyone sir or ma'am, but in this case i think it was out of pure respect. - trythison4sighs, on 04/10/2009, -5/+171It's one thing if the dog was "rabid" or vicious. These kids shot a dog that was sitting in someone's yard and from reports they had been involved in other dog killings. This is totally messed up. These kids need to go away... I think you know what I mean.
- lolque, on 04/10/2009, -4/+165If he survived dozens (maybe even hundreds) of insurgents, I almost feel sorry for the kids if they even try anything after they get out. Sweet jesus it would be the cleanest murder scene you've ever seen.
A quadruple-homicide with no evidence? Yeah that would be happening double time. - ZincSaucier, on 04/10/2009, -3/+160"here's gunfire"
- zoethebitch, on 04/10/2009, -2/+141Several years ago, near where I live, a man murdered the wife and child of a deployed Navy SEAL. He also severely injured two other children in the home.
He was arrested several days later and pled guilty.
The guy never did a perp walk, was never outside, never saw the light of day again.
It appears the police fully understood the situation. - mouthbreether, on 04/09/2009, -12/+128Luttrell told Beck on his radio show that he has lots of SEAL friends and just because he didn't kill these kids doesn't mean someone else won't. We'll see if that kid with the warrant is never heard from again and chalked up as a runaway fugitive.
- kamisama, on 04/10/2009, -8/+108Ok, I think it's time we stop nagging when parents slap their kids around for doing something very wrong.
- WatchDragon, on 04/10/2009, -2/+100Is it me or is the writing weird and hard to follow?
- RandomGorilla, on 04/10/2009, -3/+98It must have taken the personal restraint of a thousand men not to shoot them all, even with the police there. I wouldn't have exercised such restraint.
- abludo, on 04/10/2009, -1/+96actually it's multiple dogs, leaving the scene of a crime, reckless endangerment and firearm offenses to name a few
oh they'll get creative i'm sure, and rightly so - DarkProd, on 04/10/2009, -1/+90In Operation Red Wing (The op. where all of his teammates were killed) they were 4 or 5 against 80 to 200 insurgents.
He's badass. - KazamaSmokers, on 04/10/2009, -19/+106This is a sad story, no doubt. But I happened to hear Glenn Beck talking about this incident and he had NO IDEA how many years ago his "good friend" had been injured. He said "he was injured 2 years ago... no, five years ago... uh... when was it?" and then his producer had to go check. So if this guy was really Beck's good friend, and not just a man whose story he is exploiting for attention and money, you'd think he might have actually known some important facts about the whole thing. Glenn Beck is just another exploiter.
- _skin_, on 04/10/2009, -3/+83Dudes... You killed a dog. That don't make you a gangster. Quit acting all hard n *****.
- geodebug, on 04/10/2009, -8/+85Because that is something only an "internet tough guy" would ask. The Navy SEAL is a trained professional and probably had his share of taking lives.
It is terrible what happened to this person and his dog. The teenagers involved should be, and I'm sure will be, prosecuted. The real question is how responsible is it for a 'journalist' to keep telling this story all week long to drum up the pitchfork and torch crowd?
I mean, the incident is over, the bad guys were caught, and the story was told. So what is left to do? There's no intrinsic social statement here. Glenn tries to spin it as a pro-gun tale but that doesn't make sense. If anything the argument is why these teenagers were allowed to run around with handguns, not the restraint shown by the victim.
My point is that the story, while deserving to be told, is being used as propaganda by Glenn Beck. You can see from the comments on this thread that the only value is to drum up people's feelings of hate to the point where promotion of vigilantism becomes the norm. Red meat for the dogs. - diearzte2, on 04/10/2009, -13/+90"GLENN: Yes, I do. Yes, I do. Marcus Luttrell is the lone survivor. He was part of the SEAL team. It was the biggest battle any SEAL in SEAL history. He was the only survivor. He lost his whole team. He was then taken by Al Qaeda and the Taliban and he was tortured beyond your wildest imagination and there they held him for a while."
He doesn't seem to have the story right. Luttrell was knocked unconscious by an RPG, then cared for by some locals before they were able to contact the Americans to come retrieve him.
True hero though. Impressive he didn't kill any of them given it's Texas and all the police knew him and probably would have let it slide. - madtechnologist, on 04/10/2009, -3/+79Unbelievable the inhumanity that exists....makes me sick
- 1hrSleep, on 04/10/2009, -4/+80Definitely sounds like a group of serial killers in the making.
- inactive, on 04/10/2009, -7/+81I have read about this guys story before, and im pretty sure he wasn't tortured, or even captured. He was definitely injured during a fight though. Not trying to take anything away from Luttrell at all here, he has served our country honorably, and i thank him for that, but it looks like Beck is making ***** up just to make this story as extreme as possible.
- pathfinder, on 04/10/2009, -5/+79Hears Johnny!
- mimigins, on 04/10/2009, -2/+73"They got a gun and I got one too."
Then the silence after the gun type. Pretty badass. Poor guy though, that's so awful. - jnisme, on 04/10/2009, -1/+70I heard the interview the GB had with this guy the other day. The restraint that he had shows what kind of a guy he is.
- badenglishihave, on 04/10/2009, -0/+68Oh and threatening to kill someone.
- computershack, on 04/10/2009, -2/+69"Edmonds turned himself in". I guess he realised the odds of living weren't in his favour if he didn't.
- MythicaL, on 04/10/2009, -1/+68Here is the 911 call:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTScE90spBc - EarthernJar, on 04/10/2009, -0/+65He has a twin brother, who also happens to be a SEAL. They would have needed to try pretty hard to pick a worse guy to ***** with.
- Gregac, on 04/10/2009, -9/+74are you saying atheist have no respect for life?
- Bodhinature, on 04/10/2009, -10/+73Why didn't he just shoot them in he face? They are armed and trespassing on his property. They've already proven murderous intent. I'd say he's well within his rights to end those douchebags.
- rohcky, on 04/10/2009, -1/+64I don't see that happening. He lives in Texas.
- brett1337, on 04/10/2009, -1/+61this!
Edit: found it http://www.breitbart.tv/?p=315393&comments=1 - PopcornDave, on 04/10/2009, -0/+57Especially for the 4 guys.
- rhoonah, on 04/10/2009, -0/+55He would probably get a medal in Texas... armed men on your property who just killed your dog???
- deinosmos, on 04/10/2009, -5/+60For killing a dog... I can't help but think you're gonna be disappointed.
- Blankcheque, on 04/10/2009, -8/+62I'm curious what happens when they meet up with ex military in jail and become personal friends with the deffinition of repeated forced sodomy? My bet is they regret waking up that morning and decided to kill a dog.
- GalacticXenu, on 04/10/2009, -9/+63Better to take out the trash now before it begins to rot and stink up the place.
- Samueul, on 04/10/2009, -6/+60I hate to say it but you're right. If true, the fact that the rangers know who he was, well, I feel bad for the idiots who shot his dog...
- MacParrot, on 04/10/2009, -12/+65Yes they probably are taught how to drive at high speed. You OTOH having gone to douche school missed the point and didn't read the article. This happened at 1am. Other than ***** dog shooting punks not too many kids outs
- thinkb4utype, on 04/10/2009, -36/+88All you Glenn Beck haters do yourself no good by dissing him over this non-political story. This is basic good guy and bad guys and there's nothing political about it, but you can't get past you knee-jerk extremism.
I hope these 4 punks get treated like animals, because that's what they are. Anyone who has a dog knows what noble pets they are. I'll never figure out why dogs put so much effort in trying to be our best friends when they get mistreated by so many people. - woodrow8292, on 04/10/2009, -2/+54Did you read his book? It's a bit more than "Luttrell was knocked unconscious by an RPG, then cared for by some locals before they were able to contact the Americans to come retrieve him." He watched his entire team die right before his eyes as they fought off taliban for a couple days. Also you fail to mention that he crawled and hid for a couple more days after being knocked unconscious.
- Jpatano, on 04/10/2009, -2/+53I agree that these kids are completely ***** in the head, but even if the dog was rabid, that does not give you the right to go on someone else's property at 1 AM and shoot the dog. you call animal control and let them deal with it. Now if the rabid dog is on your property.... well you gotta do what you gotta do if you think it's going to attack you.
I know i would have a REALLY hard time resisting the temptation to put a .45 caliber vent in the *****'s forehead if they shot my dog. Animal cruelty is one of the biggest common factors among serial killers. It starts with animals, and eventually they move on up the food chain. -
