I'm gonna' go cry now. - xutopia, on 07/02/2009, -5/+36If it's God's will that she survived as the article quotes... what is to be said about the people who perished in this horrible crash?
- andyb747, on 07/02/2009, -0/+24she'll feel it tomorrow....
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -2/+24The ***** plane was sabotaged with ***** snakes!
- RumpleForeskin3, on 07/02/2009, -1/+22Oxygen gets you high. In a catastrophic emergency, you're taking giant panicked breaths. Suddenly you become euphoric, docile. You accept your fate. It's all right here. Emergency water landing - 600 miles an hour. Blank faces, calm as Hindu cows.
- Phyltre, on 07/02/2009, -1/+19There are billions of us self-centered little ants down here. Only from our own perspective are we meaningful.
- rocknog, on 07/02/2009, -3/+19Wow... Okay... They lied and said her mother had survived the crash. I understand why they did it, but won't it simply be more traumatizing when she actually learns the truth?
- AndrewJC, on 07/02/2009, -1/+17At 85 years old after leading a good, strong, healthy and fun life... while having sex with an 18 year old cheerleader.
I'd call that a good way to die. - anthropodeus, on 07/02/2009, -3/+17well, 70% were killed by the jewish god for being christian, 7% were killed by the christian god for being muslim, 2% were killed by the muslim god for being jewish, and 20% were killed by all three for being atheist. they agreed to leave 1% alive in order to appear merciful in the wake of the bloodbath.
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -1/+14I stood back.
I squinted.
I crossed by eyes.
It still looks like Pollock. - ifruit, on 07/02/2009, -1/+14I dug him up since SLJ is also in Unbreakable.
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -2/+14I didn't feel a thing
normally the most painful words in the English language - malechite, on 07/02/2009, -0/+12So now we just gotta find out if Mr Glass is behind all the plane and train crashes recently.
- Salif, on 07/02/2009, -2/+13I think its called shock?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acute_stress_reaction - jememy, on 07/02/2009, -4/+15Another example of how teenagers are invincible.
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -0/+9It's okay, they love you for who you are
/snicker - hasslinthehoff, on 07/02/2009, -0/+9Mr. Glass has finally found his opposite.
- Jaq524, on 07/02/2009, -0/+9I think Carbon Monoxide poisoning just lets you drift off to sleep.
Not sure though. - MaryCait, on 07/02/2009, -0/+9Not that this is extremely comparable or anything- but one time I was horseback riding and it sent me flying over it's head/shoulder unexpectedly. I didn't remember flying off or even doing a somersault. All I remember was one minute I was up there and the next I was crouched on the ground. I think the brain just gets turned off during "Ah ***** I might die" mode.
- Corman420, on 07/02/2009, -0/+8Not one person said amazing? I'd say surviving is amazing - and holding onto something, in the water, through the night, with a broken collar bone.. is amazing.. What a story to tell, and she'll never look at life the same way again..
- 123bucklemyshow, on 07/02/2009, -1/+9So you have some thing to look at while you're talking to them.
- diggit08, on 07/02/2009, -5/+12Save the cheerleader. Save the world.
- themadrammer, on 08/18/2009, -2/+92 Bottles of Sleeping Pills, then jumping out of a building 3 hours later, while shooting yourself in the head.
Fool proof. No chance of waking up 3 days later with no legs.
That is, if you actually mean to kill yourself. Otherwise you could eat 4 pills and call 911 like all the other attention seekers. - BoneStamp, on 07/02/2009, -0/+7@gizram84
Nope. Not even close. Try again. - valkir, on 07/02/2009, -0/+7Last time on Heroes...
- Avaseal, on 07/02/2009, -1/+7Cocaine's a hell of a drug
- renanrrinaldi, on 07/02/2009, -1/+6That's what she said!
- Draous, on 07/02/2009, -0/+5Just...wow, talk about reading comprehension.
- audiorage, on 07/02/2009, -2/+7yeh well a little heads up wouldnt hurt though
- dagnabbit, on 07/02/2009, -0/+5The second picture in the story shows her father wearing a "skysurfing" tshirt, while giving an interview about his daughter who had just been ejected from a commercial aircraft.
Hmm. - Krakerjax, on 07/02/2009, -0/+5Hey Broski,
"Acute stress over reaction (also called acute stress disorder, psychological shock, mental shock, or simply, shock) is a psychological condition arising in response to a terrifying event. It should not be confused with the unrelated circulatory condition of shock." - RumpleForeskin3, on 07/02/2009, -0/+5Take your tinfoil hat off...
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -6/+11that would be the scariest thing to experience.
Scariest ways to die..
Fire
Drowning
Falling off the Empire State Building and landing on your balls - mvanhorn, on 07/02/2009, -1/+5FTA " Kassim Bakari said his daughter had been told her mother survived the crash. "When I spoke to her she was asking for her mother. They told her she was in a room next door, so as not to traumatize her. But it's not true. I don't know who is going to tell her."" =(
- theBean42, on 07/02/2009, -2/+6Wow, is this the same girl that slept through getting 56 starts tattooed on her face?
- CaptSnuffy, on 07/02/2009, -4/+8You know why they put oxygen masks on planes?
- Klinky, on 07/02/2009, -0/+4Still waiting on the WTC deaths to be justified by god. It's been umm 8 years now? How much longer do we wait until we can all sit back and say "Oh yeah all those people jumping to their deaths/burned alive and the anguish of their families was all OK because god really did have some bigger plan in store!". I've yet to see what that bigger plan was. The Irqai 'crusade' doesn't count, that's only caused more death. God = the harbinger of death?
The religious are big on waiting... Still waiting for that Jesus fellow to come back as well. It's only been the end of times since 1AD, patient bunch they are. - gizram84, on 07/02/2009, -0/+4@munawarali2
hit a little too close to home? - frequentFlyer, on 07/02/2009, -1/+5Size doesn't matter.
/big fat lie - AZExile, on 07/02/2009, -1/+5Just a guess, but they probably told her that while they weren't sure she was in stable condition, and were just trying to keep her morale up.
I'm sure it was the right decision. - Chirp08, on 07/02/2009, -0/+4Your arm is connected to your shoulder which is connected to the collarbone. Go ahead and move your arm around with a broken collar bone and see how that feels.
- keithwired, on 07/02/2009, -0/+4@gizram84
Fight Club you boner - gizram84, on 07/02/2009, -0/+4al gore, is that you?
- Agamemnon582bc, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3Apparently we must use /s for everything these days.
- williepepper, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3Whot's amazing with this story is not only the miracle of her survivableship.
It's the bigger story.
The bigger picture storey is that when you click on the link, it pops up CNN and WHAMMO, the digg bar gets destroyed.
How do they do that?
Is Digg really so much of a pain that it made the CNN copywriter code in the destruct button?
Curious minds wish to know. - mparker21311, on 07/02/2009, -2/+5"She is a very, very shy girl. I would never have thought she would have survived like this. I can't say that it's a miracle, I can say that it is God's will," he said.
Yeah, I guess it was god's will that the plane crashed brutally killing everyone on board. - CdnStanton, on 07/02/2009, -1/+4Carbon monoxide makes you feel ill. Can take a while for it to take effect.
Might not be a good way to die, but I always thought the wrapping-piano-wire-around-neck-and-gluing-hands-to-head-and-jumping idea was cool. - alejandrogarza, on 07/02/2009, -1/+4WE HAVE TO GO BACK KATE! WE HAVE TO GO BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!
- dclowd9901, on 07/02/2009, -0/+2You guys remember that tv show a long time ago about a guy who was the sole survivor of a horrific plane crash where his parents died, and he turned out to be incredibly lucky. Like, luck was always on his side...
What the hell was the name of that show... -
