People walk by victims of crime, fail to phone in emergencies, rubberneck at roadside fatalities, prohibit fire engines from getting through and taunt people they know are hanging by a thread. There is an incredible cruel streak in humanity, and bullies are highly admired in our culture, but most people never have to admit they did such things. The only difference here is we have written records of their shame.

- thetylerhayes, on 05/15/2009, -1/+1This is really sad, especially this part: "viewers were said to have egged him on." THAT IS JUST WRONG. I really hope we can learn from this atrocity, and that this young man's family can get through this tough time.
