- adulion, on 10/23/2007, -2/+133working on the replacement as we speak ;)
- MikeonTV, on 11/11/2007, -2/+102I guess the chances of finding pirated films and television shows are over now. We have been foibled again!
- jmanvan, on 11/07/2007, -1/+82What a bummer. Its not like he hosted the files, but i guess its not that simple.

http://www.movie6.net/ - SkavenUK, on 11/07/2007, -1/+60Pretty big news, and very sad :/ Apparently the webmaster was arrested too. What a joke tbh, they never even hosted the files - other sites did, but they won't touch them ***** thanks to the money they have to back them so they go after the little guy - stupid tossers. It was still working this afternoon but must of taken it down sometime late afternoon/evening.
- geneticlemon, on 10/23/2007, -1/+52Wow, that sucks. Saddest part is hearing about the webmaster being arrested. I seriously don't understand some of these people -- okay, I understand this ***** is copyrighted, but how am I going to watch episodes of Torchwood if you're not going to show it in the 'States? (I don't get BBC or Sci-Fi, btw, and wouldn't shell out $100 just to get those two channels ...). Places like TV Links allows shows to build a cult fanbase, and to reach an audience far beyond its borders. Honestly, these idiots should be thanking the webmaster because now I plan on buying DVDs of their shows ...
- tntoak, on 10/23/2007, -2/+50They take down one of these sites, three more will appear overnight to replace it. It's a never-ending cycle. As long as the demand is there, there will always be sites dedicated to meeting those demands.
- omnithought, on 11/11/2007, -0/+34NOOOOOOOOOOO! *****! I had one last episode of Dexter to watch, the *****!
- carpespasm, on 10/22/2007, -0/+29damn, that was the biggest collection of easy to access documentaries i knew of too....
- bored76053, on 10/23/2007, -0/+27Reminds me of when napster gets shut down :( oh well another site will pop up next week
- Kaji, on 10/22/2007, -0/+26Can they charge him for this? He wasn't hosting the copyrighted material, just linking to Stage 6/Google that HAD the copyrighted material hosted. I call shenanigans on the Brits.
- Bravecombo, on 10/22/2007, -0/+24*sigh* There goes my friday night.......
- shiftt, on 10/23/2007, -1/+25Unfortunately it's not that simple. Every time they take down a site, the bring the owner down with it. That poor chap not only got arrested, but now he'll probably have to spend thousands on legal fees. The war goes on, but with every battle they ruin someone's life.
- addurobi, on 10/21/2007, -1/+22Under the image, it says Tv-links allowed downloads to shows like 24 illegally.
Wait a minute - no it didn't. Those ***** go after the small guys while ***** like dailymotion and other sites are hosting the crap.
Pff- closing tv-links won't help anything. - Cid420, on 10/22/2007, -0/+20lol I thought this was a funny part on that page. Showed a picture just to the left of the article with this under it...
"The site allowed users to illegally download shows like 24"
Download? lol? - omnithought, on 10/29/2007, -1/+20Good sites, except for the next to last one: http://www.freetvlinks.net/shows.htm
Stay away from that one folks, malware. - inactive, on 11/03/2007, -1/+20"Fact claims that tv-links.co.uk was providing links to illegal film content that had been camcorder recorded from cinemas and then uploaded to the internet. The site also provided links to TV shows that were being illegally distributed."
Go arrest Google now. - Daunting, on 10/21/2007, -0/+18*****. I was just on it today!
- VaporBro, on 10/26/2007, -0/+18Agreed. However the great thing about TV Links was that the content was streaming. You didnt need to wait a few hours for an MST3k episode to download when TV Links was up. Click, watch, laugh. Too bad it was shut down. We shall see a few more sites pop up though...
- inactive, on 10/23/2007, -1/+17i died a little this afternoon.... college classes just wont be the same
- mufasa, on 10/21/2007, -0/+15I was just on tv-links earlier today watching the office, and just minutes later it was down... =(
- Urusai, on 10/22/2007, -0/+15Charged with "facilitating", it sounds like. Another bogus crime, like resisting arrest or attempted suicide.
- antipax, on 10/23/2007, -1/+16I love u man, simple, yet ingenious.
- bobakanush, on 10/23/2007, -1/+15damn them!
- KMye, on 10/23/2007, -0/+14Definitely sucks they went straight for the arrest rather than pressure for him to shut down. If anyone finds out about some sort of legal defence fund for him, please post the link here; I used that site more than enough to contribute 50-100 bucks, to say nothing of fighting it on legal/principled grounds.
- antdude, on 11/07/2007, -7/+21Alright, post some new links for us. :P [grin]
- Brabus, on 10/21/2007, -3/+16http://www.peekvid.com/
- badassninja, on 10/22/2007, -4/+16Bit.. Torrent...
- whataboutdave, on 10/23/2007, -0/+12The problem is obviously link rot. Videos were pulled from TV Links with great regularity anyway, and now there is no way to fix the links. Better to just move on to a new site.
- homesqua, on 10/21/2007, -0/+11welcome to the internet.
- inactive, on 10/21/2007, -1/+12The group's director general Kieron Sharp said TV Links was the first major target in a campaign to crackdown on web piracy.
Look out if you are hosting one of these sites and your name isn't Google...I don't see how one man gets arrested and one company can do it chronically with little to no retaliation. - limezor2, on 10/21/2007, -1/+11http://www.alluc.org
- mmazing, on 10/21/2007, -0/+10***** you :D
- absolutroot, on 10/22/2007, -1/+11how can the tv industry claim they lost money, when we would have never given it to them anyway? i mean, its not like we stole an xbox, or a laptop, or something of that nature..they havent lost *****. if they want to end piracy, charge less money for movies and music, so that us people making ***** wages can actually afford them. $20 for something a company can copy over and over again is where the real stealing is. Who is getting rich off of movies? certainly not me.
- fatadamblog, on 10/21/2007, -1/+11This is stupid, they arrest a site just linking to the material, While it does fall somewhere square in the piracy debate it can't be illegal. Anyone can link to pirated material on any of the now hundreds of YouTube clone websites.
Just search Stage6 and ye shall find many pirated movies and shows. - SquigglyP, on 10/23/2007, -1/+11It sucks, but don't pity the guy. He knew the potential risks involved when he decided to set up a site like that. Everyone knows the risks. Some people just think they are immune from being found out or go for the ambiguous "am i violating something? Am i not violating something?" sort of angle. The Pirate Bay operates like that to a point. But it will never stop people from putting up sites just like it. These people are smart enough to come up with an idea like that and implement it, and then follow through and make them highly popular. But they're dumb enough to actually DO it, you know? ***** knows i'd never run a site like that, i don't care how much ad cash you can get from it.
- inactive, on 10/20/2007, -0/+10As the url indicates it was called TV links, yes they had movies but the best feature was tv shows.
- PaperJesus, on 10/22/2007, -0/+9someone start a web forum with user submitted links, can they bust us all?
- brotherfranciz, on 10/21/2007, -0/+9Nobody tell him! Remember the first rule of fight club...
- PirateMLifnen, on 10/20/2007, -1/+10Better than any of the stuff mentioned yet, is OVG. http://www.ovguide.com
Huge database and search engine of all the links posted above, and tons more... - kefs, on 10/21/2007, -0/+8i don't get it.. these were just links..
wouldn't archive.org have it up until this point.. i'm sure someone can simply start updating a local copy.. or make it community based. - murder1, on 10/20/2007, -0/+8I am pretty sure that show is on G4. I don't blame you for not knowing; no one watches G4.
- fantasyflamz, on 10/23/2007, -0/+8I used to use it b/c my school blocked bittorrent, but this year people I know found a workaround to it.
- Vicujozobenaxod, on 10/29/2007, -0/+8Yeah, I know. This is why there's Rule #1: Don't talk about fight club!
- fantasyflamz, on 10/20/2007, -0/+8it's like watching anime. Some of the anime takes years to come to the us, but some don't even come at all, and tv links was the easiest way to get anime that isn't shown in the us.
- Nearoschyth, on 10/21/2007, -0/+7So Jack Bauer caught him? They really need to find a more relevant picture.
- GobBluth, on 10/20/2007, -0/+7http://pics.area755.com/pics/movies-online/
I have to watch Trailer Park Boys but I do not live in Canada. Thank you Canada.
- WazzaInc, on 10/21/2007, -0/+7=( this really sucks
- DennisPwnsj00, on 10/20/2007, -0/+7I guess it was too difficult for you to read the story?
