- Anrkist, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Everybody must get stoned?

- EztliNahua, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Alright, how the hell is it spelled?
I have seen: Hezbollah, Hizbollah, Hezbullah, Hezbula, Hezbulla, Hizbola, [...] and now Hizbullah. Are the media/government groups ever going to just choose one spelling to use for them?- Junkyarddawg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Google Translation gives "Hezbollah" if you translate "The Party of God" or "Gods Party" to English, so I guess that's as close to an 'official' translitteration as you'll get. But like doctorsax said, translitteration doesn't always work well across alphabets.
Personally I'd have thought "Hezb'Allah" was closer, but no matter. - Junkyarddawg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just commenting to myself: Seems I was wrong, there's an even more authoritative source on how to spell the arabic name of the Party of God than google, and that's themselves: www.hizbollah.org
