- inactive, on 03/29/2009, -0/+6I disagree whole-heartedly. After 26 yrs of my own svc + my bride's 24, I must say there is at least some missing info here. The grand majority of ltrs fr/parents—even parents who served themselves—to Congressmen/military HQ units are woefully short on critical info. Are there charlatans in the military? Of course, just like everywhere else, but a very strict system of rules`n´regs—far more stringent than in civilian life—preclude most scenarios of "gross unfairness" fr/arriving at fruition.
Think about this one issue f/just a moment: Does one REALLY believe that senior NCOs/officers "live to throw the bums out"? We are in the biz of training up comrades-in-arms. Only the uninformed & weak-in-spirit try to "Lord it over" their underlings, and those personnel don't make it into training positions very frequently. - fr0mundacheese, on 04/01/2009, -0/+1yeah, i'm a vet as well. so don't try to patronize me like you're the only one in the know.

In this case, he was targeted and written up for things that he should not have been. He is, however, being unjustly treated like a criminal in prison.

but aren't room inspections and searches par for the course?
I thought "bogus" room inspections and searches happen only in prisons when they find contraband - fr0mundacheese, on 03/29/2009, -1/+2That's how the Tyrants that run this country operate. Soldiers are valued no higher than the rest of us "useless eaters"
