- bryano, on 04/04/2008, -67/+316OH FOR ***** SAKES.
Lets just come out and admit it: she's not curvy, full-bodied, or whatever politically correct term you want to assign to her. She's FAT. I genuninely feel sorry that she has to go through all this embarassment in front of so many people. - Sartic, on 04/04/2008, -61/+204No. Just no.
- eligus12345, on 04/04/2008, -81/+216Ew.
- Coy0te, on 04/04/2008, -24/+152While I think it's great we promote realistic images of women in the media there's no denying that she is overweight (ie: not of good health).
- chrisgaijiin, on 04/04/2008, -37/+124A good bit of self-consciousness would make her realise that she needs to go on a diet and take more exercise. Self-confidence shouldn't replace an interest in your own health
- MetalLizard, on 04/04/2008, -48/+114I'd hit it.
- Frost9999, on 04/04/2008, -7/+69As a photographer, I'd like to point out that better lighting would have made her look a lot better. (and no, I don't mean complete darkness)
- mannymix03, on 04/04/2008, -36/+87I'm tired of the politically correct B.S., shes not curvy or a "plus sized model" shes fat and doesn't take care of herself. Im sorry if it sounds mean, but im just trying to be realistic
- tugger, on 04/04/2008, -31/+81I once went to a fashion show for size 12s and over, the models were stunning. it made a pleasant change to the starving size 0 'walking wire coathangers' normally parading around.
All respect to Chloe, she's doing a great thing. - aceakm, on 04/04/2008, -6/+52Good for her, but her feet look sick.
- dkreifus, on 04/04/2008, -12/+54I'm not a fan of coat hangers, or of large women, but I'd be curious how many people calling this girl all sorts of names are in 'perfect shape'. Its easy to insult others when you're sitting 3 feet from your keyboard because your gut keeps you from getting closer.
There is a VERY common misconception between being overweight and being healthy. And being skinny doesn't make you healthy either. You can be a size 8-14 and be healthier and live longer than a size 2.
Cut this chick a break. Lets see your asses in a bikini or bathing suit, and lets compare - BrandonR717, on 04/04/2008, -18/+56Eh, I'd say she's pretty attractive. I'd much rather be with a girl who looks like that than a girl who weighs 90 pounds and looks like a skeleton.
- mikepictor, on 04/04/2008, -7/+42Oh for.....is she overweight...depending on your standard, possibly. You have no cause to say she is unhealthy though. People can be heavier, and still be healthy
"I eat well, I exercise regularly – I jog, swim, and work out with weights."
Prove otherwise, or shut the hell up. Someone who is carrying extra weight, but still gets regular exercise, and exhibits signs of health and vitality, is healthy. My guess is, if you talked to her doctor, that her blood pressure, cholesterol, etc... may well be in very healthy ranges. - kjd84, on 04/04/2008, -17/+49She may be overweight but she is not obese and I find it funny that how many of you ***** out there sticking their nose up in the air at this chick for having a go who would weigh more than her and get their muffin tops caught on your desk when they sit down and have to move it.
Bloody idiots I reckon half the fools here that had said something horrible is classified as overweight or obese.
This is all coming from a guy who is not fat.
Love how people reveal their own insecurities at the expense of others. The article says she eats right and exercises so what more do you want??
- DaFunk, on 04/04/2008, -19/+48Wishing her all the best? "Good luck with the whole overweight thing!" What exactly are we wishing for her?
- Th3Hamburgler, on 04/04/2008, -27/+55The Daily Mail raped my internets.
- nesibus, on 04/04/2008, -28/+55I'd hit it...but first I'd have to find it.
- simg, on 04/04/2008, -5/+30obviously this is part of a conspiracy by food manufacturers....
1. change public perception of attractiveness *back* to the "fuller" figure
2. sell more cakes
3. profit. - StrangeFamous, on 04/04/2008, -13/+38I'm sorry to break it to you, but she doesn't look the least bit embarrassed to be on camera. She's pursuing a modeling career, for christ's sake! She's proud of who she is, and has a healthy attitude about herself. Regardless of her weight or appearance, the fact that she's comfortable in her own skin is a miracle nowadays. She should be supported, not ridiculed.
- BobMysterioso, on 04/04/2008, -3/+26I agree with that entirely. Her body shape does not allow her to become a size 0, it would never happen. That said, a size 10-12 would be doable. She would still be a plus size model. She is overweight, you can tell by the excess weight in her face. Her BMI is way out of line.
- bumcheekcity, on 04/04/2008, -17/+40So, not only did I visit a DailyMail webpage, I also looked at a picture of an ugly fat bird in a bikini? Sheesh, it's worse than being Rickrolled...
- PPCG4, on 04/04/2008, -8/+31Why are you guys digging him down? I'd totally hit it.
- BobMysterioso, on 04/04/2008, -2/+23There could be some middle ground there. You might be taking things to extreme ends needlessly.
- AL7AIR, on 04/04/2008, -2/+21Slap her on the butt, and ride in on the wave.
- lilsis, on 04/04/2008, -15/+34doesn't say much for the young ladies of surrey
- inactive, on 04/04/2008, -26/+43obesity is not cool
- sv650touring, on 04/04/2008, -5/+21A few hours in the gym
- caLt, on 04/04/2008, -10/+26Overweight is the new skinny... and obese is the new overweight..
- j1ggy, on 04/04/2008, -12/+28She looks like an average person to me.
- HigherLogic, on 04/04/2008, -4/+20I bet she gives good head.
- inactive, on 04/04/2008, -17/+32This is not obesity.
- groberts1980, on 04/04/2008, -1/+16An average person is FAT.
- Berkana, on 04/04/2008, -5/+19I'm sure you all remember the Fat Rant:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUTJQIBI1oA
Very good points made. - LadyDub, on 04/04/2008, -6/+20I am exactly her height and I used to be her size. The first article on her a few weeks ago said she weighed 176. That is BS. She is well over 200 at 5'10. And no, it is NOT healthy. I said this the first time- I guarantee she gets winded going up stairs and is probably on her way to serious cardiovascular problems and even more likely diabetes. I'm not being mean, I'm speaking from personal experience.
And I don't care how personally confident you are- put on a one piece. It just isn't appropriate when there are so many flattering swimsuit options out there. - terryhuang, on 04/04/2008, -3/+17yeah, but were they modelling in bikinis?
12 and over can look good in clothes, but in bikinis really shows over-weight problems
While I (and most people here) agree coat hangers aren't good, we shouldn't be celebrating this other end of the spectrum. - mothermaggie, on 04/04/2008, -8/+21Hello? Did you actually read the article, or did you just look at the pic. She DOES exercise.
- moocowrat, on 04/04/2008, -3/+16admit it, you'd hit a ham sandwich wouldn't you?
- CYR1X, on 04/04/2008, -11/+21And for all the times that Brits make fun of Americans...
- SLiMKRaZy, on 04/04/2008, -6/+16How can she be doing a great thing? What of her health? She is at high risk of Diabetes and high cholesterol for starters and lets not get started on the cost to tax payers that these "Large (obese) real women" cause due to weight related ill health. It should be frowned upon not celebrated.
- fluxion, on 04/04/2008, -4/+14yah, i see what you're trying to do...and i respect that.
but there's no fine science about being fat...she's obviously a tad over curvy. mostly the legs.
she's cute though, with clothes on she probably looks fairly attractive - anjinash, on 04/04/2008, -2/+12Sigh. You know, from many of these comments I am truly ashamed of my male gender. What a pack of judgemental ***** you are. Have any of you ever actually BEEN with a woman? Have any of you actually been around and spoken to somebody with a REAL problem with obesity? This girl is NOT morbidly obese. This girl is NOT putting her health in jeopardy. In fact, she's pretty typical. Women like Paris Hilton are not, nor are those with true weight issues.
I for one fine Chloe pretty attractive. Moreso than her curves (which are nice), I find it extremely appealing that she's not ashamed of her body and has the guts go show it off despite so many ***** like you making smartass comments. Let's be real here, most of the ***** who are insulting her are probably twice as big as she is and haven't seen a vagina up close since birth. - inactive, on 04/04/2008, -5/+15I don't think she give a ***** what we think. Wish we could all have that level of self confidence.
- samsite, on 04/04/2008, -5/+15Ok, I feel I have to comment. And I don’t often do this. I’m actually quite sick of the self righteous crap that gets posted far to often on this site.
First of lets get this out the way. Your right, she isn’t curvy, or anything else. Ill agree she is fat. But who the hell gave you’re the right to be so fuc**ng nasty? I would bet that there is something about each and every one of you that some one else could be equally as harsh about, no one is perfect and to say you are. Well your best off not reading this comment as your clearly above it.
I’m fat at the moment. My weight goes up and down like a yo-yo. I’m sick of the stigma I and other people get. At school I was thin. I used to be bullied and called snap on tool.
People are far to quick to judge, I have crohn's disease and there is nothing I can do about my weight due to the treatment I take. So not only do I have to take the crap of you people who shun fat people with out reason. I know have a stupid bag that I have to have for the rest of my life.
Before going of on a rant, how about you actually stop and think about your comments for once. Or is that a far to mature thing for you to do?
And I’m also dyslexic - capecodcarl, on 04/04/2008, -7/+16Being overweight doesn't necessarily mean you're in bad health.
- jeuhrn, on 04/04/2008, -32/+41Her hips are wider than her waist. Her breasts extend farther than her gut. She doesn't have much of an extra chin, and if you look at her hands you can see that there's no extra fat on them. Her arms aren't flabby and she looks healthy.
All in all she doesn't carry any trait of a "fat" or "obese" person. (Protip: STFU) - StrangeFamous, on 04/04/2008, -9/+18This woman looks to be healthy, she simply isn't as skinny as the models you normally see wearing tiaras. She would be categorized in the upper ranges of "average". At the most, she would be in the lower ranges of "overweight". "Obese" is a completely separate category, which involves health problems and mobility issues arising from excess weight. This woman exercises and most likely has a healthy diet.
Unfortunately, most Digg males get their unrealistic standards of beauty from magazines and advertising, so they expect all women to be skinny. - Testiculese, on 04/04/2008, -1/+9Delusional is what she is. Most people aren't embarrassed to be Christian either. At 17 she should not look anywhere NEAR like that. I thought she was in her late 30's.
She should be supported in losing weight, not encouraged to be fat. - DDayDawg, on 04/04/2008, -3/+11I'd definitely hit that. You guys know you would do it, you just want to look cool on the internets.
- Testiculese, on 04/04/2008, -5/+13It's perfectly acceptable because she made herself fat. She IS fat. A female at 175lbs at 5'10 is FAT. Her calves are huge, her thighs are bulky, and neither of them have any definition to them. Her ass is wider than her shoulders. Her whole body is way out of proportion to her head. You can see the cottage cheese behind and under her boobs and on her stomach. A folding layer above her chest. A double chin.
There's a difference between a big girl and a fat girl. I've known big girls who weren't fat. One, actually, the rest were fat.
If this competition weren't about the body, then of course there would be no comments. She would be clothed. She wouldn't be drawing attention to her fatness, and trying to say that she represents the norm. She doesn't look normal at all. She looks fat, out of shape, and ungainly. I can't tell if she's pretty but cause she has excessive chin and fat cheeks.
I'm glad I don't live anywhere where she "has quite a leg up ... on most women". I'd move. -
