- Velocity14, on 06/14/2009, -8/+824A few years from now, the victim could use this heroic act of defending the damsel friend as leverage for at least some second base action.
- ZenPirate, on 06/14/2009, -3/+611They're not going to press charges? wtf??
- LokiStix, on 06/14/2009, -35/+608Standing up to bullies only sounds good when you suggest it to others
- suburbanWMD, on 06/14/2009, -4/+556Dude, his lung got punctured. He best be getting laid.
- diemunkiesdie, on 06/14/2009, -5/+556This kid has some balls. The 13 year old pulled the knife on him and instead of cowering or trying to defuse the situation, the 12 year old just jumped the 13 year old and knocked him to the ground.
- burninthepyre, on 06/14/2009, -5/+523You're all missing the point, the 12 year old walked half a mile with a punctured lung like nothing had just happened.
That's ***** awesome. - cjacks9, on 06/14/2009, -2/+395If you're going to fight bullies, which is a fine thing, we must remember to not fight fair. Soon as the boy was on the ground, STOMP HIM!!...well, at least his knife hand.
- AmusedToDeath, on 06/14/2009, -4/+338The stabber is a huge pussy. Why can't kids just fight it out with fists anymore?
- rusty11, on 06/14/2009, -0/+302or he'll be in the friend zone
- ThatsNotPoetry, on 06/14/2009, -4/+301Not pressing charges!? This kid needs a swift kick to his barely dropped nuts and a year in Michael Jackson's house!
- ScottyAnimal, on 06/14/2009, -1/+256This is pretty much attempted murder.
- vsujohn2, on 06/14/2009, -4/+225A few years from now? HA. Kids these days... he should be getting at least some second base action NOW.
- hpodity, on 06/14/2009, -0/+216The kid who got stabbed here is a seriously great guy, he's 12 and he's already man enough to stick up for his friends and not take stick from petty people like the suspect, that and he's evidently smart (getting the academic award and all...) great kid...
- macmcraeart, on 06/14/2009, -8/+223"Sweep the leg."
- dogatemycompute, on 06/14/2009, -3/+205I wonder if I stabbed the DA in the chest, pierced his lungs and sent him to the hospital then would be press charges? I bet he would crawl out of bed long enough to drag himself onto the plaintiff's table in court to demand justice and my immediate incarceration.
Why is there such a huge disconnect between criminal behavior and prosecution these days? In Philadelphia a mother and 3 children died when some criminal in a stolen car barreled them over. It took the fingers of god to break his spine in the accident and make sure he never walks again. I just wish our prosecutors had the decency to make sure both of these criminals (the boy in Yucca Valley and the criminal in Philadelphia) never see the light of day again. - jftitan, on 06/14/2009, -1/+200forever.
- inactive, on 06/14/2009, -17/+206awesome ... they can put it on his headstone
- Contradictions, on 06/14/2009, -0/+183So classmates knew the bully planned to stab this kid and they did nothing either? Why didn't the adults call 911 when they find a child bleeding on their steps? No charges?
This one good kid is surrounded by morons. - Klowner, on 06/14/2009, -1/+158Knowing how the universe works, it'll probably be the bully that gets laid.
*grumbles* - vsujohn2, on 06/14/2009, -1/+151http://s64590.gridserver.com/wp-content/uploads/20 ...
- freshgrease, on 06/14/2009, -0/+144The 12-year old has balls. Balls of Steel. You might have gotten stabbed, but no one is going to ***** with a kid who took a knife to the chest to stop a molester from hurting a girl. I wish I was more courageous at your age.
- Junkyarddawg, on 06/14/2009, -2/+141Gang-affiliated.
- gemlarin, on 06/14/2009, -1/+128Chances are, the kid comes from a broken home and has been in some form of court related trouble before so they want to take the "hes only 13, we need to rehabilitate him and not destroy his life" route. I have seen it before in my own hometown with a kid I went to school with. He beat his mother to death with a baseball bat the day before his High School graduation, where he was supposed to deliver his valedictorian speech. The DA went to bat for him and he did not serve jail time. The sad part is, the kid ended up becoming a serial rapist and thief. His crimes spread all the way from Niagara Falls, to Penn State to Nova Scotia.

- ramiro, on 06/14/2009, -2/+124Speak softly, but carry a big stick.
- kplo, on 06/14/2009, -0/+114Yeah, that seems to be the way to go. Strike first, strike hard!
- sonnybobiche, on 06/14/2009, -4/+112***** parents beget ***** children.
- Platypus3333, on 06/14/2009, -1/+92This is seriously not how I remember elementary school.
- siszam, on 06/14/2009, -0/+88Unfortunately, these days you will be thrown out of school and legally prosecuted for defending yourself.
You are absolutely right about the nose though. Many years ago this thirteen year old bully knocked my six year old down and hit him. The kids parents wouldn't do anything. I couldn't do anything because I would get arrested.
My thirteen year old son went to school and broke the bullies nose. He was nice enough enough to take the bullies glasses off before hitting him. LOL
My son beat the kid from the lunch room all the way to the office and kept hitting him as the kid tried to hide behind a teacher. I didn't see it but I was told there was a trail of blood from the lunch room to the main office.
My son is small and was often bullied himself but that day he had enough. No one ever bullied him again. He had to go to juvenile court but all I had to do was pay the other kids doctor bill. The bullies parents ended up apologizing to me. - Jinkley, on 06/14/2009, -1/+88Which also teaches an important lesson (from A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy):
Always. Have. A. Towel. - mechnoch, on 06/14/2009, -0/+85Dugg for "The DA went to bat for him" Tragic pun.
- inactive, on 06/14/2009, -0/+85Sometimes it's a trash bag and a bicycle chain.
- tgc1, on 06/14/2009, -3/+87I think we need to start bringing out wood chippers and tossing these little ***** delinquents into them. Could set a lesson for the rest of the little *****.
- suburbanWMD, on 06/14/2009, -9/+93...without a punctured lung.
- iamabootdisk, on 06/14/2009, -1/+84That 12 year old should be knighted.
- honesttussey, on 06/14/2009, -0/+83NO *****! Did you read this part from the article?!
"the boy with the knife asked the 12-year-old if he was afraid and showed him the weapon.
The 12-year-old pushed the 13-year-old to the ground, but the older boy got up and stabbed the victim under the arm.
Bleeding, the victim stanched the wound with a towel he happened to have because the school had hosted a field day and walked about a half-mile to a friend’s house."
***** RAMBO child! - EmperorAwesome, on 06/14/2009, -1/+78More likely the girl is super wet over the stabber now. Because rule number one is: girls love *****.
- h8red42, on 06/14/2009, -1/+76yeah like maybe some inappropriate touching.
- commentposted, on 06/14/2009, -1/+72Definitely time for "The Monkey Steals The Peach".
- inactive, on 06/14/2009, -1/+71Yeah she will reward him with best friend status for life. And then he gets to hear about each boyfriend she will have in the coming years.
- YuviC, on 06/14/2009, -2/+71Are you really that stupid?
- smokeydbear, on 06/14/2009, -0/+69It's pretty ridiculous if they don't press charges ... the only reason the kid is pulling ***** like this is because he's gotten away with stuff in the past. If the state doesn't do something significant to punish this kid it's just like telling him, "its ok to stab people, if you stab people it's not your fault."
- iveL, on 06/14/2009, -0/+67Or a pillowcase full of doorknobs.
- HurricaneDC, on 06/14/2009, -0/+66Your son is awesome.
- inactive, on 06/14/2009, -0/+59Damn I wish I had some courage wolf ASCIIs. BEAR YOUR SCARS ON YOUR CHEST, NEVER ON YOUR BACK.
- noahgelman, on 06/14/2009, -4/+63He's 12. If he got second base action now it would be like feeling up another dude.
- mattyk123, on 06/14/2009, -1/+60Maybe i'll see him there, i've been there so many times i'm pretty much a citizen of friendzonia..
- homedaddy, on 06/14/2009, -1/+59and to be fair, even kids have to see that their actions have consequences. I'm not saying that incarceration is in order but you need to prosecute and then establish some sort of useful discipline. Put him on probation and make him work in a soup kitchen (or some other community service) for a few years.
- Shirt, on 06/14/2009, -0/+58Or a tube sock full of quarters.
- bobartig, on 06/14/2009, -8/+64that's only because he's so tough it crosses into stupid, not recognizing that he was mortally wounded and would drown in his own blood without treatment.
