Six killed at U.S. Istanbul mission

reuters.com — ISTANBUL (Reuters) - Three policemen and three gunmen were killed in an armed attack on the United States consulate in Istanbul on Wednesday, the city's governor said.

  • gezgin, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2From what I read it's not clear what the shooting was all about. I've been to this consulate, it's like a fortress on a hill. Fortunately the area where people wait in line for visas, etc is secure and not close to where the shootings happened
