- yfguitarist, on 12/10/2007, -1/+7You're going to have to if you don't want to look like an idiot. Just because it's a church does not mean there shouldn't be security. Would you rather have had more innocent people die?
- inactive, on 12/10/2007, -1/+6Given the rabid hatred against Christianity I see daily on this site alone, I'd not blame any large Christian congregation for having a security team - not to mention the attractiveness of such a group as a target to the jihadist vermin. Personally, I'm an atheist, but if I were a believer, I'd be carrying. If such things exist, I cannot imagine any deity worth worship who would deny me the right to protect myself and my family while I was paying homage - and if they don't, then there is nothing special about the building in the first place. Bottom line - no reason not to carry arms and many good ones to do so.
- sundancekid503, on 12/10/2007, -0/+2How about we take away the antidepressants that every single one of these shooters seems to be on? You can't take away all guns, it's not even realistic to consider.
- pmctosh, on 12/10/2007, -4/+1ok we now have armed guards at our churches. does anyone see something frickin wrong here. on the one hand .. no sorry, i can't get my head around this one.
- JustRob, on 12/10/2007, -4/+0What is wrong with this picture? People shot in a shopping mall, in a church, and at a child's birthday party. We don't need to worry any longer about terrorism coming to our country. It is already here. When will we take away the guns? When will we help young kids with their rage? When?
