- peestandingup, on 11/06/2009, -4/+124Everybody acts like shootings never happen in this country.
This is an everyday thing in ghettos all across the US. You just dont hear about it. - PowderedToasty, on 11/06/2009, -17/+109I really hate that the media has turned into a global alert on any local tragedy. 1 million people die every week, there's absolutely no reason anyone in the rest of the world needs to know about this. The media is totally twisting and warping our sense of reality. Ignore!
- hybridcreation, on 11/06/2009, -4/+83Two in two days. Regardless of the reasons, this is getting far too common. I understand times are tough and people are finding themselves facing situations they never could have imagined, but that is no justification for trying to take other's lives.
- fwaokda, on 11/06/2009, -4/+50If this kinda stuff keeps up I'm gonna go get a six shooter with a holster... maybe a cowboy hat too. Nobody messes with a cowboy.
- PhilliesBlunt, on 11/06/2009, -10/+55Lately I've become convinced that our problem isn't gun laws as much as it is gun culture.
- bigtime2, on 11/06/2009, -3/+43Because his name is not Mustafa, Ibrahim, Al-Usman, Muhammad, etc.
- sugarazor, on 11/06/2009, -4/+41Why isn't the media speculating on his religion?
- akseitz, on 11/06/2009, -27/+62Two tragic shootings in two days...
I just hope this country takes time to reflect on this before jumping to radical conclusions. We have a very sharp tendency to utilize high profile incidents like this to push legislation on gun control and such.
May the victims rest in peace. - IllBeBack, on 11/06/2009, -3/+33Your "sentences" appear to have a severe lack of periods.
I have some here. Would you like to buy a few?
Here's a free sample:

Digg me down 10 years bad luck - pegisys, on 11/06/2009, -4/+30His last name is Rodriguez, so he must be here illegal.
amiright - mparker21311, on 11/06/2009, -0/+25From what I've read, it's always been screwed up. Within the last few decades of evolving technology, information has found ways to spread to the masses at incredibly fast rates... rates so fast that we can often times watch the event unfold live on television and the internet. This gives the impression that things are getting worse every year that communication technology evolves.

This song is getting old. - Moz34, on 11/06/2009, -3/+21rikes: your theory doesn't work out for several reasons:
1. You're not going to scare a suicidal killer by the prospect of being shot at. Usually, they kill themselves anyway.
2. The killer will be mentally prepared, the victims won't be. It's a rather big "switch" to go from regular boring office day to a full-blown shoot-out.
3. Only 1 person got killed: even if you announced that there'd be a killer coming and everyone were psychologically prepared, still at least 1 person other than the killer would be killed. - MWeather, on 11/06/2009, -4/+21I blame violent video games.
- BaoUnit, on 11/06/2009, -7/+24*****, two shootings in two days... Condolences to those families.
- PhilliesBlunt, on 11/06/2009, -1/+18Except for a Redskin... but this season it ain't much to worry about.
- peestandingup, on 11/06/2009, -4/+20Somebody still dies. They might be innocent, they might not be. Could be a gang member, could be a little kid who got hit in the crossfire.
Im just saying, there's a lot of ***** that doesn't get national publicity just because some douche bag news producers don't think its worth it because of where it happens & the people it happens to. Sad, but its true. - publiclurker, on 11/06/2009, -0/+15While having gay sex.
- sugarazor, on 11/06/2009, -8/+23Because this isn't the same. Robberies, gang violence, and all the other issues that plague violent inner-cities are a major problem in America, but it's not the same as one man making the conscious decision to walk into a building and assassinate as many people as he possibly can.

- sb66, on 11/06/2009, -26/+39Gun control isn't radical; in fact the USA is one of the very few countries that has so little of it. As can be seen by the huge amount of gun violence and kids shooting themselves and each other.
- Netsloth, on 11/06/2009, -3/+15Wonder if the 24/7 coverage of this sort of thing doesn't spark copy-cats to act who were already contemplating violence.
- inactive, on 11/06/2009, -0/+12Welcome to life.
Killing happens. It's always happened.
What, are you new? - Jeff901, on 11/06/2009, -13/+25More people get killed annually in auto accidents than by guns! Look it up, there are statistics in the tens as opposed to the thousands by vehicle.
If you pass laws to outlaw guns from the hands of law abiding citizens, you give the upper hand to criminals, who will always have guns and will then no longer fear their proposed victim is packing!
I don't own a gun, but I enjoy the fact that I have the right to own one....if I so wish! - Princeamor, on 11/06/2009, -6/+18I live in Orlando. I hate Orlando.
- inactive, on 11/06/2009, -5/+16Maybe he had no religion.
Bet ya didn't think of that one, smart guy. - bmad965, on 11/06/2009, -0/+11The guy has now been arrested.

- guinpen, on 11/06/2009, -0/+11didn't you hear? if you're a cowboy your 6 never needs reloading
- Jektal, on 11/06/2009, -0/+10I'm getting an indian outfit so we can fight. Then we just need to hang around with a cop and a construction worker, and nobody will ever give us any crap ever again!
Wait... - sugarazor, on 11/06/2009, -2/+12I'm sorry, but there are plenty of people who have been affected by war, unemployment and are concerned about their future who are not out there going on shooting rampages. This is the kind of "the end is near" ***** that people have been screaming for centuries as an excuse to push their agenda. When it comes to people like this guy and the incident at Fort Hood, these are people who are flat-out psychopaths. You can come up with any excuse you want - religion, jobs, their dog told them to do it, etc. - but whatever that is, it's merely the switch to the crazy bulb in their brain.
- Reveillark, on 11/06/2009, -0/+10Sleight of Hand
Steady Aim - IllBeBack, on 11/06/2009, -0/+10Well, while my statement was only meant as a snarky joke, your response compels me to also respond.
Hang in there. I know that times are really ***** right now and even I almost lost my job earlier this year. It was scary and uncertain times around my house. I can't imagine how difficult it would be to try to move to a different state and have a job lined up there in advance. And things are 10 times harder if you have kids.
So, good luck. Save as much money as you can. Be positive. If you truly want to move you will find some way to make it happen. - alman783, on 11/06/2009, -0/+9XBebop
Gangs don't buy guns legally in the first place. - Princeamor, on 11/06/2009, -0/+9I'm trying to move but I can't afford to move because I can't find a job because there are barely any jobs and my business went downhill because people don't have jobs to pay me anymore.
- sugarazor, on 11/06/2009, -3/+12Yes, someone still dies, and it is tragic, but the motivations are not the same. If someone just began opening fire on the streets of Compton, killing indiscriminately, it would be on the national news. Someone getting killed in a drug dispute, someone in the crossfire, it's terrible, and I don't mean to sound cold, but it's not an out of the ordinary event. Someone opening fire in the workplace, someone shooting soldiers on a military base, these are rare events and are national stories.
- fiatjustitia, on 11/06/2009, -2/+11I couldn't agree more.
- funkyloki, on 11/07/2009, -0/+8You need to turn up your sarcasm detector
- inactive, on 11/06/2009, -20/+28***** gun control
2nd amendment.
The forefathers put it in there so in the event our government becomes tyrannical, we can take it back.
But most people kinda forget that important aspect. - ldsan, on 11/06/2009, -6/+14***** trolls are even more prevalent
- thecoolestguy, on 11/07/2009, -0/+8I blame lack of violent video games.
- Moz34, on 11/06/2009, -3/+10People look for something that's "different" about the lunatic doing these things. That way, they have a way to channel their fears and pretend it can't happen to them.
The reality, however, is that any normal looking sympathetic person can be some crazy serial killer without you ever knowing.
Hi Dexter, 'sup? ;-) - sgtbutterscotch, on 11/06/2009, -1/+8Moz, are you saying that little gun control leads to more violent people because that does not make sense. The people are already violent. It's when they get guns that all goes to hell. Granted, "regular" people who go psychotic probably would have a much harder time getting guns. But what about gangsters? They'd probably have a much easier time getting guns (not that I am saying it would be easy). I think that a good majority of the statistics for murder/violence comes from everyday shootings, not high-profile ones like these.
- inactive, on 11/06/2009, -2/+9He didn't even get the high score, why are we reporting on this?
- XBebop, on 11/06/2009, -2/+9Gun control in the USA is now impossible. Even if it goes through, what is the government going to do? Go into the inner city and take guns away from the gangs? Yeah, let's see how that goes.
- sgerwel1985, on 11/06/2009, -0/+7So let me get this right...
Guy works at firm, firm fires guy because guy can't do his job and then guy goes back to company 2 years later and kills/shoots co-workers... Why not just off yourself?
I have never understood this cowardly act by people, it really blows my mind. I live about 5 minutes from the LA Fitness in Bridgeville that a few months ago was the talk all over the news. This blows my mind just as much as that. - shutaro, on 11/06/2009, -0/+7DOOOOOOOOM!!!
