Shipping disaster in Philippines exposes endosulfan hazard

panna.org — Rescue and salvage efforts were halted on June 27 at the site of the fatal ferry disaster in the Philippines after it was learned that the capsized ship contained 20,000 lbs of endosulfan, a highly toxic insecticide.
