While Amsterdam is widely known for decriminalizing recreational marijuana use, the city ’s drug-related problems are actually relatively tame. The real chaos can be found in countries where the manufacture and trade of drugs make up most of their economy.

  • cygnox, on 07/25/2008, -0/+0While there were many drug dealers trying to push hard drugs to me while in Amsterdam (all in the red light district) , I never felt threatened like I have while walking in downtown LA or the tenderloin in San Francisco.
