Sentence reversed for man who shot and cooked girlfriend

nj.com — He was originally sentenced to life in prison, but the high court reversed the first-degree murder conviction because he was not permitted to present potentially crucial evidence that could have qualified the murder as self-defense. Seriously? Was cooking her an action of self-defense too?
