Secret Photos of Bush's Abu Ghraib Prison WARNING:Mature watch!
youtube.com — This is a video made of Abu Ghraib prison, and contains many photos and videos that have not been seen. This is a little dated but was brought to my attention today and needs to be seen and Dugg. Warning:Video is very Graphic!

- Habit4ming, on 07/20/2008, -10/+65This video portrays the most inhumane treatment of prisoners that I have ever encountered. Nobody deserves to be treated like that. The torturers (guards) deserved stiffer prison sentences than what they received, and their superiors should also be held accountable. Please everyone pass this on to others. Notify your newspapers; contact your Congressmen/women with links. Every adult American needs to know what's been done in the name of the USA. No wonder we are hated! If we do nothing about this outrage, are we not just as guilty as the perpetrators??? Take action. Surely you can spare a few minutes of your time to stand up to this injustice!
- thecatcantalk, on 07/20/2008, -20/+3"The most inhumane treatment of prisoners (you've) ever encountered"?
You've seen a lot of prisoners tortured, then?
How many hookers HAVE you got chained up in the basement these days? Dead ones don't count.- DuggRonPaul, on 07/20/2008, -1/+14thecatcantalk. Another victim of the public schooling system.
We watched many documentasries about the horrors of WW1 and WW2 and vietnam. Even in my public school.
You and the rest of John McAmnesty supporters disgust me. I wonder what your reaction will be when your parents and children get water boarded and tortured. Maybe for something they didnt do.
what a monster

- doctorfungi, on 07/20/2008, -4/+4If that is honestly what you call "the most inhumane treatment of prisoners" you've ever encountered, than I must say you haven't encountered much.
Go watch a documentary on the holocaust, watch some footage of captured Russian soldiers in Chechnya, or hell, watch al Qaeda cut the head of a contractor with a blunt knife.
All that being said, I am NOT saying that what went on at Abu Ghraib was humane. But it certainly pales in comparison to the things I mentioned above.- Spymodhf, on 07/20/2008, -3/+4I cannot understand for the life of me, why this comment is being dugg down...

- jei731, on 07/20/2008, -2/+37This is but the tip of the iceberg. US media neglects to mention the several hundreds of people that were tortured to death under orders of president Bush, for example in Afghanistan:
U.S. Operatives Killed Detainees During Interrogations in Afghanistan and Iraq
The American Civil Liberties Union today made public an analysis of new and previously released autopsy and death reports of detainees held in U.S. facilities in Iraq and Afghanistan, many of whom died while being interrogated. The documents show that detainees were hooded, gagged, strangled, beaten with blunt objects, subjected to sleep deprivation and to hot and cold environmental conditions.
"These documents present irrefutable evidence that U.S. operatives tortured detainees to death during interrogations," said Amrit Singh, an attorney with the ACLU. "The public has a right to know who authorized the use of torture techniques and why these deaths have been covered up."

This is punishable by the death penalty under US law:
http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=vie ...
"The War Crimes Act of 1996, a federal statute set forth at 18 U.S.C. § 2441, makes it a federal crime for any U.S. national, whether military or civilian, to violate the Geneva Convention by engaging in murder, torture, or inhuman treatment.
"The penalty may be life imprisonment or -- if a single prisoner dies due to torture -- death."

Perhaps if they aren't put to death by appropriate sentencing by a court of law they will meet a fate far worse than these victims at the hands of any who wish to see justice served. I certainly hope so.

- unlawflcombatnt, on 07/20/2008, -0/+7jei731,
Thanks for posting the links to the autopsy reports. They're very interesting to say the least. (See: http://action.aclu.org/torturefoia/released/102405 ... ).
There are quite a few homicides. In addition, the autopsy reports also indicate severe beatings and abuse of many prisoners.
+Rhabdomyolysis comes from muscle breakdown. +Myoglobin in the urine means the detainee was peeing out protein from muscle breakdown. In this case, it was due to severe beatings. In at least one case, (#3156, http://action.aclu.org/torturefoia/released/102405 ... ), there was "hemorrhage of bilateral knee joint capsules." This means that SEVERE damage was done to both knees while the prisoner was being "aggressively interrogated."
It's also convenient that none of the autopsy reports are actually signed by an M.D. Only a number is given. I've seen a number of autopsy reports, and I've never seen one that didn't have a signature. That would not fly in the civilian world. An autopsy report means nothing unless an M.D. or D.O. signs it.
Some of the causes of death listed as "natural" are suspicious as well. It's rare for a 40 year-old to die from "arteriosclerotic heart disease." (#3140, http://action.aclu.org/torturefoia/released/102405 ... ).
Are we really "fighting" the terrorists, or are we "becoming" the terrorists?

- MarkEarhart, on 07/21/2008, -0/+2There is absolutely NO justification for this sort of behavior other than reaping what one has sown. You know, "an eye for an eye."
- vincebodie, on 07/21/2008, -0/+2There are two types of politicians - the ones who represent the People and the ones who represent their own groveling, greedy, heartless, ruthless, corrupt interests. At the start of this presidential race, among the two "major" parties there were three in the former group (Kucinich, Gravel, and Paul). There's not a rat's ass of difference between the rest of them, and they are all part of a sick system that condones and even rewards this kind of inhumane crap. Their day will come, and it won't be long... people are waking up really quickly to their game, and when it's over they will get what's coming to them.
- Lynx55, on 07/21/2008, -0/+3This is the executive branch. This is Bush's responsibility. And those that support him. And those that refuse to impeach and imprison him.
