Second large power outage In U.S. in as many days
reuters.com — HOUSTON (Reuters) - A drop in wind generation late on Tuesday, coupled with colder weather, triggered an electric emergency that caused the Texas grid operator to cut service to some large customers, the grid agency said on Wednesday. For exactly how long are we supposed to believe this and Florida aren't related?

- orlandorays, on 02/28/2008, -1/+3Perhaps it's time to scrap the wind power and start drilling for more oil. We need more CO2 in the air to combat the coming global cooling anyway.
- PoKansasFarmer, on 02/28/2008, -1/+3Liberals do it again! "Must have renewable energy only!" We deliver ethanol, now they say they don't want it. So we rely on wind power, and the wind doesn't blow. Orlandorays is right, lets drill for damn oil!
- quackydog, on 02/28/2008, -1/+3There's TONS of oil under our feet in the US. I know, I used to work in the oil field in the US. Start drilling!!
- ragu4u, on 02/28/2008, -0/+2They need Howard Dean down there. That windbag/blow-hard is so full of hot air he could power Texas for decades.
- LadyAmerica, on 02/28/2008, -0/+1Just wait til the Dems get the Presidency (they already run Congress.) We'll all be working by candle-light - that is until they decide candles are bad for the environment!
Time to drill for oil!!!!!!! Mine more coal, too!!!!
