ck — The Religious Advisory Council yesterday opposed the idea of Scientology being allowed into the country. Prime Minister Jim Marurai has yet to consider its advice when he returns from Tonga today. This follows an unsuccessful attempt last year by Moonies to gain entry for their religion.

The Minister for the RAC, Ngamau Munokoa, said Scientologists were not welcome in the Cook Islands. She said: 'They do not believe in God. We do not consider they have a place here. Their belief is different from our culture. They can go somewhere else.'
