KingRavana, on 07/05/2008, -0/+17This is absolutely absurd. I am all about learning ABOUT other cultures, but I need not PARTICIPATE in them to appreciate diversity. The day some moron teacher makes one of my kids submit to this sort of BS will be the day that school sees heads roll (unlike Muslims, I mean this in the metaphorical rather than the literal sense). This "teacher" is a complete imbecile. Those who think the teacher should be disciplined are wimps. The teacher should not only be FIRED but should lose his/her license to ever teach ANYTHING, ANYWHERE, EVER again. This is NOT teaching, it is attempted brainwashing. It certainly demonstrates the level to which Western educational pedagogy has fallen.

The school where this happened wouldn't have put the student in detention for refusing to participate if it were a Christian demonstration. But an islam demonstration is a whole other story. The parents of every student in that school should pull them out.
jamamiss, on 07/05/2008, -0/+15As a teacher of 11 and 12 year olds, I can't believe this teacher is such an idiot. Why in the world would she REQUIRE these students (or any age student) to bow down to Allah??? Get her away from our children. There is NO EXCUSE for this.

If you read the Daily Mail article it has more info. Lame excuses like"At the moment it is our enterprise week and many of our members of staff are away" From the Deputy Headmaster!!! Isn't that likened to our Assistance Principals? So he is basically saying he had no idea whom was in the classroom teaching these students.
And to be given detention for standing up for your Religious Freedom?!!!!????
I would be so proud if one of those students was my child. I would walk around with a shirt saying "My Child Refused to Kneel!"

If these kids are Christian, or Jewish, this "Religious Teacher" made them break the two of the Commandments.
1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.
There is only one God. The God of Abraham. Islam has created a false Idol. Their Allah is not the God of Abraham. No matter what they tell us.
This "Religious Teacher" needs to go back to school.

The school books from Saudies that contained jihad, martyrdom and anti-sementic racist hate were taken out of other schools. All were public schools under federal and state funding.

DesertDad, on 07/06/2008, -0/+6Well, they've gone balmy across the pond, that's all. When the Archbishop of Canterbury accepts that sharia has a place in England, apparently the only British Christians with spines are these two young men.

I hope their families support them and take heart that in their youth they are wise enough to know the difference between deference and submission. Their teacher obviously has not a clue, and is either a useful idiot or actively supporting the islamification of England.
