- israfil334, on 10/24/2009, -5/+29pictures of all the civilian casualties horrified me, especially the one of that little girl with the burned face because a US helicopter fired into their tent.
You don't get to see or hear about stuff like this in the news - saruyama, on 10/25/2009, -0/+12Without confirmation it *was* a U.S. helicopter ("according to their father") why would the news report that?
- smashTasker, on 10/24/2009, -2/+13We avenge 9/11 yet?
- JonnyJ, on 10/24/2009, -3/+14Im 25 years old. I am not an overly tough person, but the last time I cried was when my dog was hit by a car 12 years ago.
I gotta say, those two pictures back to back of a boy getting a metal splint taken out, and the girl with burn cream all over her face just tore my insides up. streak broken... - RazarX, on 10/24/2009, -2/+13Great photos. I wish I had some ice cream.
- BotchaMcCoola, on 10/24/2009, -2/+10And then some. But now we have to avenge all the damage from over-reacting. I estimate we are damaging ourselves at about four times the extent of the 9/11 crimes each year now. I believe it critically important to keep stressing that 9/11 was essentially a terrorist crime not a foreign military action.
- zionoe, on 10/24/2009, -0/+7amazing views, great pics, great work....
- bazzarr, on 10/25/2009, -2/+8That's a massive amount of technology to fight people who use donkeys to carry fire wood and live in tents.
- BotchaMcCoola, on 10/25/2009, -0/+4Terrorists are not scaring you enough already? Look how much manpower and money you have wasted. What kind of an American are you to be so fearful of these backward countries. Worry about the smart 911 kinds. No one seems to care what those are up to now.
- BigJon80, on 10/24/2009, -3/+7This war will NEVER end.
- TBBucs, on 10/24/2009, -1/+5I'm not even going to make a joke about this. That whole situation is intense to say the least. Amazing.
- dsenman, on 10/24/2009, -1/+4Beautiful and fascinating, in an eerie sort of way
- sTiKyt, on 10/25/2009, -1/+4They don't have to get into the US to seek revenge and is the only reasons not to be killing civilians?
- squelched, on 10/25/2009, -0/+3well we sure as hell didn't declare any war
- MercenarySlick, on 10/25/2009, -1/+4Hate and disposition towards the US is based on irrational bias.
The US went to Iraq with 17 other European countries, 12 of which are in the EU. Nobody rails on them for invading Iraq, in fact people from those very same countries, especially Brits, blame the US and the US alone. Kind of funny how one minute Brits say the US couldn't have done it without their "military expertise" but in the next sentence will say the war was all Americans' fault.
That is an example of anti-Americans. Outright, logic-overriding psychosis. - BarryMcCawqiner, on 10/25/2009, -1/+4@calcm. You'll get dug down for that type of statement. Sorry, but there are too many mis-informed tools who don't want to believe that some wars do have to be fought.
- Schmich, on 10/25/2009, -2/+4The two first pictures do look like really good CGI's for some reason. Poor girl though, I presume burns like that scar the face for life.
- BotchaMcCoola, on 10/25/2009, -1/+3Wasting US National interests on this kind of foolishness is a long way from patriotic. Seems more like it is helping the Chinese. Every time we screw up like this they laugh and get richer.
- Namco, on 10/25/2009, -0/+2What kind of camera you think that photographer was using? There is absolutely no noise in that night shot. Can all DSLRs do that?
- BotchaMcCoola, on 10/25/2009, -0/+2He and most of the politicians are bent over for the Military and MIC. Screw the taxpayers.
- tokomini, on 10/25/2009, -2/+3Great pictures, ***** war.
- Kranden, on 10/25/2009, -1/+2Thank you for those great photographs.
- HeadInJarMan, on 10/25/2009, -0/+1Thank you Modern Warfare for the curse of always checking out the guns.
- stoneage7, on 10/24/2009, -0/+1bratislava in winter = /wrists
- BotchaMcCoola, on 10/25/2009, -0/+1But will it pass up the Korean War expenses and hardships on the US taxpayer? Anyone know what the current total cost clock is on that fiasco? In current dollars?
- cichlid81, on 10/25/2009, -1/+2The "reporter" had to somehow get his/her bias in. What better way to do so than to sneak this one in there.
- badversary, on 10/25/2009, -0/+1bosnia and baltic are 2000 miles apart
- dstz, on 10/25/2009, -2/+3In the news we hear that the Taliban are regaining control and that we're losing the civilian population's support, and the war, for some magical and incomprehensible reason.
And when the air strike on trucks stolen by the Taliban killed a hundred civilians, all diggers, like one man, agreed that if civilians are stupid enough to be in the vicinity of Taliban, this was fair game.
Magical and incomprehensible. - stealth45, on 10/24/2009, -1/+2"Enjoy Bratislava. It's good you came in summer, in winter it can get very depressing. "
- blup3ace, on 10/25/2009, -0/+1see Bosnia and other Baltic states. The US and NATO still have people there as well. Will that conflict there ever end?
- Rahzulus, on 10/25/2009, -2/+2I'd rather have the war on their soil than on ours.
- MercenarySlick, on 10/25/2009, -3/+3Of course, you say it was a "US helicopter" you pathetic ghoul. Nice try at veiling your bias that acuses you to make assumptions.
- Ymeg, on 10/25/2009, -4/+4I can't believe a US bomb hurt that little boy. We need to get out now.
- burrdugg, on 10/25/2009, -3/+3Amazing graphics. When is that game coming out?
- sanman, on 10/25/2009, -1/+1wow, looks like Middle Earth
- theseventhdawn, on 10/25/2009, -1/+1I feel these pashtuns ... since 1919, they are rebuild and someone flattens'em... It's about time we march in Saudi & Pak ... leave these people alone ...
- BotchaMcCoola, on 10/25/2009, -2/+2Perhaps they have Titan II missiles and long range bombers deep under the mountains. We so afraid of that kind of backward country.
- synDoC, on 10/25/2009, -1/+1BHO said he would end these wars and yet we are sending more troops there. Just like Bush only different skin color.
- Cracken, on 10/29/2009, -0/+0Whatever that means...
- command76, on 10/25/2009, -3/+3Nice pictures...dugg this for patriotism....
- BotchaMcCoola, on 10/25/2009, -1/+1No sale. You pay our losses then if you think any of this is good for the USA.
- haxninja, on 10/25/2009, -2/+1Wow amazing pictures, really graphical and I guess some we would never see normally..
About the comments here Afghanistan was the hide out of people like bin Laden (al-Quada) and one of the biggest heroin producing countries. It was a good thing to start a war against those people giving them the free hand would be foolish. However Iraq was one step to far and even if it wasnt then this step was to quick..
And yes it is ***** up what is happening to those poor kids but which war isnt ***** up? - Moralogic, on 10/25/2009, -2/+1I wish we did though. Fluffing the truth doesn't help anyone.
- BotchaMcCoola, on 10/25/2009, -3/+1You believe that you pay for it but do not coerce the rest of us into this wasteful *****.
- BotchaMcCoola, on 10/24/2009, -24/+22Stop them wasting US money like that and injuring those civilians. Some of their relatives may eventually get into the US and try for revenge. Does anyone think they will be as forgiving as the Buddhist SE Asians?
- themastersb, on 10/25/2009, -3/+1http://media.sacbee.com/static/weblogs/photos/imag ...
That's not how you give someone a Swine Flu shot. - jckat2000, on 10/25/2009, -3/+1Amazing pictures. Those soldiers look pretty bad ass.
