- sondosia, on 02/10/2009, -25/+736I usually put some sort of sarcastic comment about the "religion of peace", but I don't even feel like it after having read that, honestly.
I'm too disgusted.
These people should be f-cking ashamed of themselves. - sondosia, on 02/10/2009, -11/+657Man, and even if you just take a look at the "Related by Keyword" area below...

"19 Year Old Saudi Girl Sentenced to 200 Lashes and Jail for Being Raped"
What the hell is wrong with these people?? - lccat, on 02/10/2009, -27/+289This is the "culture" that wants to contol the world.

Well here we go with another offering from sharia law and islam the religion of peace: that peaceful religion changing the world one head at a time.
And, yes, I know proper punctuation. I just choose not to honor this religion of peace with capital letters. - Kraviwannabe, on 02/10/2009, -26/+246And the UK, Canada and others want to extend recognition to Sharia Law!
- eRenee, on 02/10/2009, -1/+217She's pregnant and they're going to lock her up, force her to have the baby of her rapists, and then beat her after delivery. So who will get the baby?
World outrage over the last Saudi girl raped and sentenced to jail and 200 lashes grew till King Abdullah finally conceded and pardoned her. Oh she started out with only 100 lashes, but she talked to the press, so they gave her 100 more. - CaptainAmerica1, on 02/10/2009, -8/+212The logic here is that if she had not disobeyed Sharia law by going out in public unaccompanied by a husband or male relative, she would not have been offered a ride in the first place. But, she did go out in public. Her second mistake was accepting the ride. So, she was punished for violating Sharia law. I'm not surprised by no mention of the men who raped her. Muslims would rather make an example of women in an effort to instill fear into others who may consider doing something similar. So, the subjugation continues.
- ironhide, on 02/10/2009, -13/+174I consider countries like Saudi Arabia a very good reminder that separation of religion and government is not only a good thing, it's an essential thing.
- Hollow5, on 02/10/2009, -28/+186This is every day business in Saudi Arabia, why is it on the news?
- 029JO, on 02/10/2009, -3/+132Being a women myself reading this makes me feel sick and so very angry.
Please someone make this stop as humanity can't tolerate this kind of *****. - PoizonFrog, on 02/10/2009, -6/+114Cattle in a slaughterhouse are treated with more dignity than Arab women...
- TomT127, on 02/10/2009, -5/+98Her mistake was being a female in a muslim country.
- SuperVepr308, on 02/10/2009, -9/+101I hate that word but you are dead right. They are considered nothing more than property. Sickening.
- inactive, on 02/10/2009, -27/+114Multi-cultralism in the UK thankfully doesn't extend as far as this travesty, at least not yet.
This is a perfect example of why Muslim Culture has no place in a Western Society.
- inactive, on 02/10/2009, -24/+108They're simply doing the things that Mohammed did.
- Tyrghast, on 02/10/2009, -11/+93"YOU CAN'T JUDGE ME!!! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND MY CULTURE!!!"
yeah... *****. I don't give a ***** about Japanese killing whales and crap like that, but treating a human being with such contempt for something that was entirely out of her control is absolutely uncalled for, no matter what sky man you worship. - NihilFist, on 02/10/2009, -28/+97Allah is a dog and Mohammed is his bitch. Some dude calling himself "Anonymous" told me this.
- iamnotcreative, on 02/10/2009, -4/+69Oh hey they've made progress!
It used to be they'd just stone her to death. - badenglishihave, on 02/10/2009, -17/+80That's not Christianity, that's Judaism. Jesus himself kept company with prostitutes and tax collectors and reprimanded those who cast judgement upon them.
"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." - John 8:7

Even if you don't believe Jesus was the "son of God" you have to realize that the Old Testament is not directly applicable to the Christian faith. - freedomjoe, on 02/10/2009, -17/+74Weird how there is the perception of the liberals being on the saudis side.
WOw, the Ministry of Truth sure managed that little bit of projection well.
Anyone can trace the bush family via facts (business dealings) with the Saudis for 30 years. The Saudi Princes consider Bush Jr their brother. Did you ever put the oil prices together with the reign of the Bush family? Weapons being sold??? This isn't paranoia, you can trace the corporations on Wikipedia for heaven's sake. - inactive, on 02/10/2009, -4/+55Just don't call them violent or barbaric or they'll kill you.
- inactive, on 02/10/2009, -38/+88This happening in the country that considers the "Bush Family" to be THEIR family as well? Gee...surprise surprise!
Ever see the Bush's walking around holding hands with their leaders and kissing them hello and goodbye?
15 of the 19 hijackers on 9/11 were from there. Osama Bin Ladin is from there... yet we attacked Iraq, and Bush had a problem with IRAN as well?!
Saudi Arabia has "funded" more terrorists in this world than any other country. Yet Bush/Cheney/Rove sold it to you that Iraq was a problem...
The GOP is NOT the party of "human rights" when all they have done in the past is continue to do.... is not only do "business" with them...but to be downright "FRIENDS" with them. To sell them weapons...and to NEVER EVER condone their actions on how they treat women.
If there is ANY Country in this world that needs a "wake up call"... it is Saudi Arabia. - plaxx, on 02/10/2009, -3/+50You took the comment wrong -- I think sub1 meant, that the men in the muslim word are like the rich white folks, and the women are the ***** (to them).
- pintocat, on 02/10/2009, -7/+53Barbarians. This is what happens when you let superstition/religion rule your country.
- dstz, on 02/10/2009, -3/+48The issue may also rise from an oil funded welfare-state with a medieval culture where there's no national incentive to self actualize (socially, economically) given the enormous leeway that western countries give them thanks to financial and military support. Not all Muslims are stuck in medieval times, though it is certainly an issue that many Islamic countries have to solve.
- ironhide, on 02/10/2009, -1/+45Dude, you've got issues.
- multiformat, on 02/10/2009, -3/+45Because it's a good reminder for the west of exactly how ***** up they are.
- Locke21, on 02/10/2009, -14/+55You're 100% correct. A religion of peace? Since when? Their beloved prophet himself traveled from town to town killing those who refused to convert to his twisted new religion. There's a reason Ishmael was considered the bastard son of Abraham.
- inactive, on 02/10/2009, -3/+43This has to be the most ***** up society in modern time.
- ihavetop, on 02/10/2009, -7/+46This is what happens when a country is ruled by a Theocracy. :\
- UheardItHear, on 02/10/2009, -0/+37The Saudis disgust me. This is what happens when there's a country full of rapists with power, they punish the raped. Despicable.
- Zippo, on 02/10/2009, -2/+38Canada enjoys multiculturalism, especially in larger cities... but the law is still the law. A rapist is charged under Canadian law... not Islamic law.
- SmartedPanda, on 02/10/2009, -3/+38Being a male, makes me feel even worst, I mean women are abused everyday, but males get away with it. I makes me feel, guilty.
- izackcarson, on 02/10/2009, -5/+39You don't have to be a neocon to be disgusted by Islam's advocating torture. Yes - this is torture. If someday there are significant percentages of Islamic moderates (such as we see with both Christianity and Judaism) then I might be willing to not hate the religion as much as I do currently. However, what we do see is near total control of the religion by fundamentalists. The impact of this state of affairs is directly tied to the religion. I don't like any of the Abrahamic religions due to their overwhelmingly negative effects on people, but Islam is certainly the worst in the world right now.
- lemur, on 02/10/2009, -4/+36This is a false perception of Islam that is popular among communities that have heritage from traditionally Jewish or Christian societies. The Western experience has been formed by dealing with religions that were unreasonable and full of nonsense, so that the only choice was to abandon their religions and seek "reform." Many Westerners claim to be Christian or Jewish, but they only retained the name after abandoning their religion. The expectation is that Islam is the same as their previous religions, which it is not. The expectation is also that reasonable Muslims are "reformists" who have abandoned their faith, which is not true.
I'm not defending Saudi Law. Saudi law is just as unreasonable and crazy as everyone here thinks it is, but the big mistake is believing that the Saudis somehow magically represent Islam. This has never been true even during the time of the Prophet, and Islam rejects racism on its face, saying that Arabs are no better than non-Arabs, and yet when people want to define Islam, the racism comes out and everyone looks at the "Arabs" to see what Islam is. I'm sorry, but this is stupid... if you want to blame Islam for the evils of Saudi culture, then you're just as stupid as they are. The law that they follow is not even something that was conceived of or developed until several generations after the Prophet died, during the reign of despotic rulers, and their law system has a tumultuous history in that it often contradicted the direct teachings of the Prophet. The Prophet lead people with an example of fairness and justice, with rights for all human beings, whether they were men, women, or children. It was a very liberal teaching, asking people to cast off old traditions in favor of rationality and modernity.
Muslims who reject the backwardness of Saudi thinking are not "reformed" Muslims. We still practice our faith completely, and an essential part of our faith is being reasonable, fair, rational, open minded, educated, thoughtful, generous, compassionate, forgiving, etc. People who have abandoned those things have abandoned Islam completely, regardless of whether they go through the motions of prayer, fasting, charity, and pilgrimage. - sonofthebrave, on 02/10/2009, -59/+91Its a religion that treats women like or less than animals. Did you know that President Obama per "executive order" that will allow Palestinians loyal to Hamas to resettle in the USA. We will see more of this in the USA. By the way, I can't find the Executive Order powers in the Constitution and if you can find it please let me know.
- oxdeltaxo, on 02/10/2009, -2/+33The thing that is wrong is that they know what they are doing is wrong, but the shame of the mob mentality keeps them from speaking out. So instead they cover that shame up by doing it again and again till it feels right. It's about being a hypocrite and not wanting to accept the consequences.
- sultanknish, on 02/10/2009, -13/+43sure, and Muslim immigration already drives honor killings in the US, soon they'll be as routine here as they are in the UK and Germany
- viraj86, on 02/10/2009, -6/+36Saudis have f***** lost it . Shocking.
- inactive, on 02/10/2009, -8/+37Ben....who is a "better" friend and ass kisser to the Saudi's than the BUSH family (as well as many of the other neo-cons)? It's so well documented that it's FRIGHTENING to me that you would blame the libs for "embracing" the Saudi's!
They consider the BUSH's to be part of their family...show me anything you can find where you GWB or his dad condemn the Saudi's....
Blame it on the libs?! You're demented dude. - Probatus, on 02/10/2009, -0/+28I think you have to have it before you can lose it.
- faithforever, on 02/10/2009, -0/+27Every Saudi should be utterly embarrassed by the treatment of women in their country.
- sponeil, on 02/10/2009, -2/+28It has nothing to do with religion. The men have an obscene level of control over the women, and they want to keep it that way. Religion is just one of the ways they rationalize being able to do whatever the hell they want to keep women down. Blaming all rapes on the women causes several attitudes that help them achieve this goal::
1) Makes women afraid to show any part of their body in public.
2) Makes women afraid to speak to any man they're not married or betrothed to.
3) Makes women afraid to leave the house without a family member along for protection.
4) Makes women afraid to stay single for long.
5) Feel free to add your own here... - phosphor112, on 02/10/2009, -1/+27Every post I see about these crazy *****, I tell them, it's only in Saudi Arabia. My dad used to get beaten because he prayed as a Shia, and not a Sunni. DURING PRAYER AT THE PILGRIMAGE. Saudi Arabia is a disgrace to all Muslims, if they knew ANYTHING about the religion they'd know that the person raped is the victim, ***** god damn idiots.
RAGE. ***** BLARG. Once again, I'll say it again, 9/11 terrorists? What nationality were most of them? Hmm...
***** ***** *****. - fterroso, on 02/10/2009, -5/+31Her only crime was to accept the ride! And got this horrible punishment. Those animals, who raped her, are the ones who should be lashed over and over, along with the judges.
I'll pray for the girl's soul. And I honestly hope they all (rapists and judges) rot in hell!!!! - Recoil, on 02/10/2009, -2/+27And I think to myself... what a wonderful wooorld...
- philosophyzombi, on 02/10/2009, -0/+25OK Chaiten, what evidence do you have to support that assumption?
- iamnotcreative, on 02/10/2009, -0/+25It's an altered Yoko Ono / John Lennon quote:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woman_Is_the_Nigger_o ... - Recoil, on 02/10/2009, -0/+24Go tell that to the woman who got raped. You think she had a choice?
