Saudi Arabia opens its first women-only hotel

independent.co.uk — For a country that goes to such great lengths to segregate unrelated men and women, it took Saudi Arabia a long time to hit on the idea of women-only hotels.

  • deborah3756, on 03/22/2008, -0/+1Well, I don't like the idea of segregation. I don't care if it's by race or gender it's still wrong. Bigotry is bigotry no matter how nice a coating you put on it. In my, not so humble opinion, Saudi Arabia and countries like this, practice modern day Jim Crowe laws which, doesn't set well with many people. I see nothing the Saudis have done to be proud about.
