- paulzov, on 08/13/2008, -12/+859It really is sad. It is nice that the Captain spent some time with the kid, I'm sure that meant a lot to him (small things like that from a stranger would mean a lot to anyone I think).
- Akraz, on 08/13/2008, -10/+565WHAT SOLDIER? ALL I SEE IS THE COUCH
- asskicker32, on 08/13/2008, -11/+500It makes me angry becuase it doesnt look like he is taking the Warp.
- robEstyles, on 08/13/2008, -9/+487If you think thats sad wait until he finds out that his princess is in another castle.
- mnortei, on 08/13/2008, -102/+556Yep, the war on terror.
- mikec00l, on 08/13/2008, -13/+428Is he playing Mario on a broken Playstation?
- rtaibah, on 05/22/2009, -19/+377I could almost swear they are playing Super Mario Bros. World 1-2.
This picture makes me so angry.... - babybern, on 08/13/2008, -6/+233It looks like a Polystation.

- voze, on 08/13/2008, -19/+226*sadface*
- Quisquis, on 08/13/2008, -26/+210Or wait, "lost an arm and a leg to an improvised bomb": could that mean that it was the terrorists that did it?
- BradOFarrell, on 08/13/2008, -4/+175It's an improvised entertainment device.
- gilgtc, on 08/13/2008, -19/+186this just about sums it all up.
- wetdirtmud, on 08/13/2008, -1/+163He actually IS taking the warp if you look closely enough. He's moving to the far right to get to world 4-1 then from 4-2 he'll get the vine to come out of the brick and go to 8-1. Duh!

When I went to India, I saw a "console" in a shop that looked exactly like a Nintendo 64 (including the controllers) but the cartridge slot on top was sealed shut. 12 or so NES era games (Contra, Castlevania, Metal Gear, etc.) were pre-loaded on it; it sold for 200 Rs. (around $6.00 American) - cmgarcia, on 08/13/2008, -18/+111***** war.
- Ellrick, on 08/13/2008, -17/+101Yeah its sad, get that kid a wii.
- RedS0x, on 08/13/2008, -1/+83Dang, I'd buy that.
- geniuslocimusic, on 08/13/2008, -28/+107Mission...............Accomplished?
- n0t0kayipr0mis3, on 08/13/2008, -0/+68My cousin in Bangladesh said "Let's go play my Playstation!" I was excited, i haven't played one in months. At first i was still sure that it was a real playstation 1 but when i open the disc bay there was a cartridge hole there. I read the box and realized it was a "Polystation". Anyway, we played Mario on the polystation the rest of the night
- teriyakisause, on 08/13/2008, -2/+69It's sad, but at the same time, I'm glad that kid still has a little smile on his face even though he's in that situation.
- Quintios, on 08/13/2008, -11/+77Who the heck are you speaking for? "We all support the military killing folks"??? You don't read Digg much, do you.
Speaking for myself, I do not support the military "killing folks". Furthermore, the kid got hurt by his own people. - Dred, on 08/13/2008, -18/+81So, you are assuming the U.S. military did this to him? For all anyone knows he was outside playing and got to close to an IED or was in the market with his parents when a suicide bomber went off. Assumption is the mother of all ***** ups. Tell your mom I said hi.

- PathmarkPolice, on 08/13/2008, -15/+71That's terrible! We need to send the kid a PS3 STAT!
- palehorse864, on 08/13/2008, -1/+56Not yet, the princess is in another castle.
- SeaweedWater, on 08/13/2008, -1/+55You just took the Warp to my heart, asskicker32.
- scalded, on 08/13/2008, -1/+45It looks like the Super Megason IV version of Super Mario Bros
http://www.afrotechmods.com/groovy/review/megason/ ... - drunkmonkey01, on 08/13/2008, -0/+38What he needs is a wii, since many games on that only require one hand.
- Jamnajar, on 08/13/2008, -5/+42Would digg you 2x if I could. I think others here are missing the point.
- Nick217, on 08/13/2008, -13/+49good god, the the little tyke can't even hold a controller.
- DVmaker, on 08/13/2008, -76/+108So, we all support the military killing folks but then are sad when we see that actual people are being hurt? I'm not picking either side, just pointing out the irony.
- SeaweedWater, on 08/13/2008, -3/+35War is hell.
- ipab, on 08/13/2008, -0/+31When I went to India, I was checking out the street vendors and their wares and one of them was selling a shirt that had Nike on the front and Adidas on the back. I asked what the deal was with that and he retorted with "Don't you know? Nike and Adidas made a special partnership to come up with this shirt".
- BraveLilToasta, on 08/13/2008, -0/+30literally lol'd reading that, most creative troll ive seen in a while
- inactive, on 08/13/2008, -12/+42Awesome he has mario on the playstation?
- dafragsta, on 08/13/2008, -1/+30Is it wrong to laugh at that? I did anyway. ;)
- IAmSam14, on 08/13/2008, -0/+28When i grew up in bosnia (I live in florida now) we called it the terminator..it came with 100 games. Ahh good days
- CColtManM, on 08/13/2008, -12/+38Right, because Saddam never killed civilians.
- pugano, on 08/14/2008, -3/+29i 100 percent agree and i am getting tired of the military bashing every time any picture of anything goes up. i remember patrolling in Iraq and getting invited into a few homes for tea and bread actually the kids when not in massive swarming groups are allot of fun and just like looking at all the crap your wearing actually. i got a few pictures of an Iraqi boy wearing my helmet and my body armor saluting me its actually a cute picture and I'm sure somebody on here would make some stupid comment about how the kids need that body armor more than us or something like that.
once again I'm sorry but I'm just god damn tired of all this military bashing for some reason a small portion of the American people still think that were making the policy we just enforce it. you put somebody who is trained to fight a conventional uniform on uniform war and then tell them for the next few years you get to play a cop in a country that has allot of people who want you dead not cause your an invading force but just because your an American and we make good target practice.
yes i understand the military has people who make poor decisions. but take a large look at the people you work with that you cant stand or call idiots behind there backs. guess what the military doesn't have a common sense test and neither does the corporate environment. say what you will about us that's fine i mean I'm not gonna get all up in arms about it. but for Christs sake just give us the credit that we are doing our job. If you want bitch to congress not us we don't have the ability to just walk out of Iraq and say no were not doing it anymore. and honestly the marines that i work with should be commended its not like 10 years ago where you joined knowing your prolly not gonna go to war with anybody. these men and women joined with the knowledge that they may be killed when they sign that dotted line. - AndySavage, on 08/13/2008, -0/+25India is the BEST place for cheap, quirky *****. Not so much "bootleg heaven" as other asian countries seem to be, but the kind of stuff you have to buy because it's so ridiculous. I went when I was about 8 years old, and I remember seeing someone selling a toy that was a plastic sumo wrestler figure surrounded by a square of plastic picket fence. You would push a button and the fence would swing open and the sumo wrestler would "pee" water on you. I wish I had bought that stupid thing.
- Dotcommer, on 08/13/2008, -0/+24I remember a while back a digg article about a one handed modified controller that was created by a friend of a guy who lots an arm in battle. I bet that guy could make something like that for this lil' guy.
- mikec00l, on 08/13/2008, -2/+24sign?
- dtfinch, on 08/13/2008, -1/+22I wish this had been the first post.
- skipdog172, on 08/13/2008, -3/+24Not sure how you can say that "we all support the military killing folks".
- ElderBieler, on 08/13/2008, -4/+25@Suzilla:
http://www.iraqbodycount.org/analysis/numbers/2007 ...
Note that on the IBC (flamingly left resource) so the numbers are probably skewed even worse; in 06 and 07 there were 1700 deaths attributed to Coalition forces. 1700 out of almost 90,000.
Class dismissed bitch. - Danhrules, on 08/13/2008, -2/+23Poor kid. Doesn't even have a real PlayStation.
- jgaspar, on 08/13/2008, -6/+26Vote McCain to see them play Super Mario 2 next year
- dafragsta, on 08/13/2008, -9/+29Much as that self righteousness might be claimed under different terms, it doesn't apply when the people building the IEDs HAVE always been there. It was just Saddam who kept them in line.
- cawpin, on 08/13/2008, -11/+31Yeah, because they haven't been killing each other for the last 1000 years.
