The USD is about to collapse in this country. (USA)
Which by the way will finally put an end to the war in Iraq, the Federal Reserve, and the Bush Crime Cartel.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
The writing is on the wall, but the country is either in denial or totally oblivious to the seriousness of the dire straits we are currently is.
The stench from Washington DC (District of Criminals) is starting to reach us here in the state of Wisconsin (USA)

- rm999, on 10/10/2007, -9/+4As bad as Bush and the current US government is, Putin is 10x worse. Putin wants to restart the cold war for no good reason.
- notque, on 10/10/2007, -4/+7Bush is horrible. Putin is horrible.
Putin doesn't want to restart the cold war, they've been trying to avoid us restarting the cold war without weaponization of space. They know they can't find a cold war with us.
We want to weaponize space, that's our aggression, not theirs. - sanman, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9Putin is reacting to America's foreign excesses -- not just the invasion of Iraq, but also the aggressive expansionism of NATO. The problem is that NATO's goals have decayed into an urge to pick a fight with others in order to justify their own existence. NATO is part of that military-industrial complex that Eisenhower warned Americans to be wary about. NATO is now an enemy of world peace.
- rm999, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3No, Putin is strategically positioning himself against the US - by meddling in foreign affairs just as much as the US. The problem arises because we are meddling in the places he wants to be meddling and vise versa. That doesn't make what he does right.
And it's not just foreign affairs, Putin is a bad person domestically also. He is seriously moving Russia back to a Soviet style government that is controlling and hostile to its sovereign neighbors- rabidstrike, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4I'm an Indian and india is in close proximity to russia and was even more so during the USSR. The USSR and now Russia were never hostile to us. Neither did they ever try to sabotage the balance of power in the region. Unlike a fasicst country half way around the globe.
- wpi97, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1"Neither did they ever try to sabotage the balance of power in the region." Really? You must have forgotten a place called Afghanistan, that was invaded by the USSR in 1979. This in turn resulted in Pakistan being flooded with weapons. Do you really think that had no effect on India?
"Unlike a fasicst country half way around the globe." The country you call "fascist" is the reason why Indian economy is booming. Ever heard the term "outsourcing"?

- KingCook, on 10/10/2007, -12/+72It all comes down to oil...
as long as there is a lot left America will use oil as a means to keep everybody in the world buying dollars... (oil trades in dollars)
That's why your government has troubles admitting Global warming is real... so we keep consuming a lot of oil as long as they can get away with it..
Axis of evil...
Iraq and Iran and the other axis of evil countries are the ones who wanted to trade oil in euros...
Now why is this not good :
Oil trading in dollars : this gave the US a license to print money (:everybody had to buy dollars (to buy oil)) and a lot ... If everybody sells their dollars because they don't have to buy oil in dollars anymore :
The value of the dollar compared to other currencies will IMPLODE ... ending the reign of the dollar ( Hello china ...) I don't want to see this happening I liked the American culture as a kid I looked up to you guys but most of your fellow Americans are in denial about what is happening ... sprouting things they get from the news outlets ...
They attacked Iraq to set an example to the other countries who wanted to start and buy oil in euros to keep away the economic implosion that is going to hit you guys when this switch happens.
They use global terrorism as a front ...
(Al Q wasn't even in Iraq Saddam was a puppet of your government installed to keep American oil interests in place ... He later turned on you guys when he invaded in the direction of Saudi-Arabia so they called up your government to help defend them (pre-emptive war NR 1 : first Golf War) I mean come ON who still believes you guys are spending 2 billion a day to spread freedom and fight them there ...(America bullying in politics ... you guys are essentially a 75 % Military backed corporatism to secure your economic interests while keeping the illusion of democracy alive in the media)
I get scared when I watch how most of your fellow Americans let their government / media dumb them down so much ...
Don't let the media dictate you what to do!
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to GET INFORMED because your government will screw their own people over if they can make money off of it
They manipulate the public:
(fox, CNN ... none of the big media outlets is fair and balanced compared to what we get in Europe (I'm not saying they're not biased over here but it is in the realm of acceptable coverage where they show both sides of the argument and don't f*ck around about the details to get peoples mind of the REAL ISSUES)
We are the first generation that has to learn to cope with a global community the Internet is the medium that will bring us together.
People just have to realize that things they don't know or understand are usually the things they can make you scared about ... this is how they keep you from the REAL ISSUES
(Sorry If the coherence of what I am writing is lacking I tend to just let it flow how it comes out.)
but as I was saying it all boils down to oil
... Money runs the US ...
When money talks ... Morals walk ...
Just my 2 cents ...
Still have hope in the American People
Koen, Belgium- hiscity, on 10/10/2007, -6/+4Those around during Reagan/Bush remember the dollar being intentionally devalued by half against european currencies.
The point is that money has to go around to make the world go around. Level playing fields provide for circulation. - clark24, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7You have some good points and I never thought about that aspect of it. This administration is not doing anyone any good (besides themselves) and a growing number of us Americans are aware. I think the masses are waking up but the general feeling is "what can we do about it" aside from voting in 2008. There is quite a bit of disorganization in this movement for an ousting of the current leaders, and a lot of people still keep quiet about their disdain for Bush (in the "real world") for fear of being judged by those around them. i.e. their boss, friends, family, etc.
The standard of living is also still so high in the US (compared to most countries) that it's really hard for people to go out and start some kind of revolution.- notque, on 10/10/2007, -4/+3Who cares about being judged? We are adults with absolutely no repression for speaking our mind, and you're afraid of being judged?
People fight and get killed for speaking up. We can speak up, and don't. Disgusting. We are disgusting.- clark24, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I agree that it is disgusting. I'm actually not in that situation, but some people are. For example, being judged by your company (fired) can be a big deal if you're like a lot of people, who have a mortgage, and are a provider for a wife and kids.

- bwize, on 10/10/2007, -4/+2Like you said, money runs the US. I see the war in the middle east and see the "muslim extremists" are fighting for their religion. Aren't we fighting for ours too? Our religion being our economy and our ruthless exploitation? By no means are we a Christian nation, we aren't up in arms about the second coming of Christ (just playing devil's advocate), but rather these oil prices, these profits. It's sad.

Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the man who concieved and directed the sep. 11 attacks, (as we were told by the us government) was motivated by his strong disagreement with American support for Israel, said the final report of the Sep. 11 commission. NOTHING TO DO WITH IRAQ.
President Bush asks what's our OIL doing under their sand? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWiLshk6fSU
30/10/2000 Iraq changes form $ to euro’s for oil sales. (axis of evil 1)
2001 Iran switch form $ to euro’s for oil sales. (axis of evil 2)
7/12/2002 North Korea switches all trading from the $ to euro’s, not just oil. (axis of evil 3)
Hugo Chavez Venezuela held chairmanship of Opec & puts on the table for all petroleum sales to be
Switched from $ to euro would collapse the $ so America turns to anti propaganda towards Venezuela

Housing bubble has been planed for years! The Real Economy is not that one that they teach you at Financial Schools. Neocon Elite manipulates the Global Market with their financial mechanisms, it was a cause of all major wars in the world.
US DEFLATION will cause major INFLATION in Latin American, Venezuela, in Russia as we've seen it in late 1980' that collapsed Soviet Union. We see diplomatic tensions with Russia, Iran, Venezuella. They are Reach in Oil. DEFLATION of US DOLLAR will bring OIL prices DOWN.

you guys will get hit hard (middle and lower classes) for the most part ...
Rich people are informed to protect their assets so they wont be getting screwed over that hard since your government is made up out of a lot of people who are affiliated with COMPANIES who are their to protect their interests.

- bsmang, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I wonder just what in the hell it would take to get some of these righties to admit that the country is going in the wrong direction. Oh wait, I know - a non-righty president. Yep, that would do it. And it will.. I suppose that a couple of years from now, we'll have a democratic president who, no matter what they do, won't be able to get their approval rating over 75 or 80 percent.
- SD929, on 10/10/2007, -11/+2***** that communist. Just pissed like Putin, that russia and the former USSR is 2nd or 3rd rate now, and has absolutely no ***** respect...
- bsmang, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2Gee, I wonder how Gorbachev got THAT idea... How bizarre...
/sarcasm - bobbilljoe, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4He's right though, they are sowing world DISORDER, that's the goal. Through disorder comes new "order" ...
- Stochio, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I wish I could give you +10 diggs for this comment. Through disorder a leader will come and say "give me power and I will protect you." Disorder *breeds* new order.
- pulyx, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3I think he spoke the truth, no matter who he is and was in the eyes of americans.
I just feel REAL bad about the next american president who will wake up one day and will be holding a huge bag of crap in his hands and thinking
"oh man, how the hell am i going to get rid of this".
Seriously, these people who are candidates for elections next year are tough SOBs.- pickypg, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1The bigger problem is why did he fall asleep and wake up with a bag of crap in his hands. Not to mention that he's the President and can clearly have someone get rid of the bag of crap for him. Problem solved?
- azwethinkweizm, on 10/10/2007, -12/+5The guy who was the leader of the USSR when it collapsed and had a coup happen during his administration is telling us that we are sowing world disorder?
HAHAHA When will this loonie die?- vertinox, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Dude. Don't you remember it was because of Gorbi's reforms that democracy was allowed to happen. Remember Gorbi wasn't the one trying to use the military to go back to communism. They military didn't like his reforms and he sort of wanted the whole thing to happen to go to democracy.
- mousebite, on 10/10/2007, -9/+4Why does Russia still kill people in the streets with radiation poison?
Oh...and what about Chechnya....and that bothersome Estonia?- clark24, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Do you think this doesn't happen to people in other countries for the same reason? What fairytale world are you living in?
I don't know if they were trying to be slick with the radiation poisoning (obviously a bad idea) but here in America they just put a bag over your head and you disappear. No body, no evidence. Or maybe a few shots to the head with an M16 under the veil of "friendly fire", you know, whatever works...- pickypg, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3Yeah, that happens regularly over here. The good old M16 trick is a classic.
Please, leave the country because why would you want to stay in a country that snatches its people (with no mention whatsoever), or arbitrarily kills its citizens with friendly fire? Clearly, you're a mental flunky, but it does not take a brainiac to realize that when the country is out to get you, then it's time to leave that country.
Game... Blouses.- art42, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1So you're a cut and runner...
- clark24, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Actually I'd prefer if people like you left the country. You have a great democracy setup in Iraq, how about you move there.

- pickypg, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3Yeah, that happens regularly over here. The good old M16 trick is a classic.
- bsmang, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Lol mousebite... Ok, those aren't nice things, but what do you think King George would do if several states decided they wanted to secede from the USA? He'd probably _nuke_ them and then start relocating Texas trailer parks to there.

- JohnP, on 10/10/2007, -8/+8The problem is, the USA is an arsehole internationally, but Russia is a much bigger arsehole.
Look at the ***** Russians are spewing right now about the USA and Europe, apparently we are evil empire builders, despite the fact we have collectively given up 90% of the worlds surface to sovereignty.... It is a stupid argument. The only empire being built in the west is an empire of self interest and selfishness.
I think the Russians need to wake the ***** up, they dont own the north pole, theyre not international role models in any way, they need to keep quietly building their economy back up, and try to build good relations. I have no idea where they think their current attitude will get them.- Monsis, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3"I think the Russians need to wake the ***** up, they dont own the north pole, theyre not international role models in any way, they need to keep quietly building their economy back up, and try to build good relations."
That is exactly what is happening by them speaking out like this, they're just not building good relations them with the USA. The rest of the world will be listening and thinking - 'nice one'.
And the USA doesn't own the moon. But we don't blame you for trying. - sanman, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5I disagree, the Russian leaders are only reacting after having been shoved around a lot by the Americans first. The problem is that Americans have been shoving Russia around a lot while feigning ignorance of this, and then later when they get shoved back, then suddenly they say "Hey! That guy's pushy!"
Sorry, but you gotta recognize who was doing the shoving first, and that was the USA. - pickypg, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3Quietly? Like by blackmailing other countries? The attitude is meant to get Putin's handpicked successor elected, so they can get the wheels rolling on the USSR 2.0 (not to be confused with Web 2.0).

99% of Europeans would prefer not to have a volatile state looking over them, when that state could just grow the ***** up and get on with life, like we do.
And i have no doubt that the USA can be trigger happy arseholes, but i trust a country who openly makes STUPID choices, over one which covertly assassinates political dissidents. If you trust Russia over the USA you need a ***** reality check.

Not if George keeps getting his way. - vertinox, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2That's the thing. Russians don't see themselves as communists, Tsarists, or Putinists... They seem themselves are Russians regardless of who is in power. If the USA collapses, I really doubt we'd see people sticking together but rather jump into groups like Left vs Right etc etc.
While Russians have been basically there for over 500 years. Sure they have gone through a few different governments in a small time span, but they are going to be around a lot longer.

- avnerlevit, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I just wonder whether this Iraq war will be looked at as the war that destroyed the nation, economically (and of course politically).
- bsmang, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I really hope it won't be known as the war that "destroyed" the nation. I'd love to think that it will somehow turn out well despite being the huge POS it is, and if it did, it would definitely NOT be because George Bush is a visionary. But as it is, I think the best we can realistically hope for is that it only 'hurts' us and doesn't actually destroy us. If it only hurts us, then maybe we can at least heal back a little bit stronger than we were before.

America is using weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and Afghanistan.- sarjuva, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Actually, it's the enriched uranium that is WMD material. Depleted uranium isn't. Get your bomb facts straight.
- bushisterrorist, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1Depleted Uranium is WMD
Tell the soldier the truth about Depleted Uranium, and the soldier won't go to war.
It's too bad the soldier doesn't know, Depleted Uranium kills, and the soldier is expendable.
350 tons used in the first Gulf War, and the current Iraq war has expended an estimated 5 times more tonnage of DU than was used in the first Gulf War.
The U.S. has used more depleted uranium since 1991 than the atomicity equivalent of 400,000 Nagasaki bombs.
Since 1943 the military has been aware of the extreme toxicity of uranium as a gas.
Of the veterans who served in Desert Shield and Desert Storm, more than 300,000 have sought VA healthcare, and more than 200,000 have filed VA disability claims.
518,000 Gulf-era vets in 2004 are now on medical disability.
Four reasons why using depleted uranium weapons violates the UN Convention on Human Rights:
The United States Government are horrific liars!

Four reasons why using depleted uranium weapons violates the UN Convention on Human Rights:
TEMPORAL TEST – Weapons must not continue to act after the battle is over.
ENVIRONMENTAL TEST – Weapons must not be unduly harmful to the environment.
TERRITORIAL TEST – Weapons must not act off of the battlefield.
HUMANENESS TEST – Weapons must not kill or wound inhumanly.
BTW: 9-11 Was An Inside Job!- sarjuva, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I didn't claim that depleted uranium isn't toxic, but that it isn't WMD. I'm perfectly aware that Israel and USA use it to poison their soldiers and that it violates UN treaties.
Are all toxic substances WMD? You are really stretching meaning of WMD, or weapon for that matter. If you are going to educate anyone about this, try to be clearer in your communication.

Bush has made many mistakes, and caused lots of harm to the international community; but equally, Putin has as well. You cannot blame one without blaming the other as well, unless taken out of context. I know speaking out is still something that is frowned upon in the motherland, but give us a break.
I think Russia has much more to worry about domestically, than internationally.
