The problem is that NATO's goals have decayed into an urge to pick a fight with others in order to justify their own existence. NATO is part of that military-industrial complex that Eisenhower warned Americans to be wary about. NATO is now an enemy of world peace.

          And it's not just foreign affairs, Putin is a bad person domestically also. He is seriously moving Russia back to a Soviet style government that is controlling and hostile to its sovereign neighbors

    Oil trading in dollars : this gave the US a license to print money (:everybody had to buy dollars (to buy oil)) and a lot ... If everybody sells their dollars because they don't have to buy oil in dollars anymore :

    The value of the dollar compared to other currencies will IMPLODE ... ending the reign of the dollar ( Hello china ...) I don't want to see this happening I liked the American culture as a kid I looked up to you guys but most of your fellow Americans are in denial about what is happening ... sprouting things they get from the news outlets ...

    They attacked Iraq to set an example to the other countries who wanted to start and buy oil in euros to keep away the economic implosion that is going to hit you guys when this switch happens.

    They use global terrorism as a front ...
    (Al Q wasn't even in Iraq Saddam was a puppet of your government installed to keep American oil interests in place ... He later turned on you guys when he invaded in the direction of Saudi-Arabia so they called up your government to help defend them (pre-emptive war NR 1 : first Golf War) I mean come ON who still believes you guys are spending 2 billion a day to spread freedom and fight them there ...(America bullying in politics ... you guys are essentially a 75 % Military backed corporatism to secure your economic interests while keeping the illusion of democracy alive in the media)

    I get scared when I watch how most of your fellow Americans let their government / media dumb them down so much ...

    IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to GET INFORMED because your government will screw their own people over if they can make money off of it

    They manipulate the public:
    (fox, CNN ... none of the big media outlets is fair and balanced compared to what we get in Europe (I'm not saying they're not biased over here but it is in the realm of acceptable coverage where they show both sides of the argument and don't f*ck around about the details to get peoples mind of the REAL ISSUES)

    We are the first generation that has to learn to cope with a global community the Internet is the medium that will bring us together.

    People just have to realize that things they don't know or understand are usually the things they can make you scared about ... this is how they keep you from the REAL ISSUES

    (Sorry If the coherence of what I am writing is lacking I tend to just let it flow how it comes out.)

      The point is that money has to go around to make the world go around. Level playing fields provide for circulation.

This administration is not doing anyone any good (besides themselves) and a growing number of us Americans are aware. I think the masses are waking up but the general feeling is "what can we do about it" aside from voting in 2008. There is quite a bit of disorganization in this movement for an ousting of the current leaders, and a lot of people still keep quiet about their disdain for Bush (in the "real world") for fear of being judged by those around them. i.e. their boss, friends, family, etc.

      The standard of living is also still so high in the US (compared to most countries) that it's really hard for people to go out and start some kind of revolution.

      Also, the U.S. will not have deflation as all they have do do is loosen the money supply which they will do by dropping interest rates and printing more of it.

It is a stupid argument. The only empire being built in the west is an empire of self interest and selfishness.

    I think the Russians need to wake the ***** up, they dont own the north pole, theyre not international role models in any way, they need to keep quietly building their economy back up, and try to build good relations. I have no idea where they think their current attitude will get them.

If the USA collapses, I really doubt we'd see people sticking together but rather jump into groups like Left vs Right etc etc.

      While Russians have been basically there for over 500 years. Sure they have gone through a few different governments in a small time span, but they are going to be around a lot longer.

I'd love to think that it will somehow turn out well despite being the huge POS it is, and if it did, it would definitely NOT be because George Bush is a visionary. But as it is, I think the best we can realistically hope for is that it only 'hurts' us and doesn't actually destroy us. If it only hurts us, then maybe we can at least heal back a little bit stronger than we were before.

    Bush has made many mistakes, and caused lots of harm to the international community; but equally, Putin has as well. You cannot blame one without blaming the other as well, unless taken out of context. I know speaking out is still something that is frowned upon in the motherland, but give us a break.

    I think Russia has much more to worry about domestically, than internationally.
