Rosen lawyer wants Jews to 'rise up' [to thwart AIPAC trial]
jta.org — Steve Rosen, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee's former foreign policy chief, and Keith Weissman, its former Iran analyst, were charged in 2005 with dealing in classified information. Rosen's lawyer says AIPAC and other groups should "embrace these men" and apply pressure on the government to drop the case.

- meuse, on 05/15/2008, -2/+26Steve Rosen once picked up a napkin and boasted to a Jewish journalist, “In twenty-four hours, we could have the signatures of seventy senators on this napkin”. He’s been indicted for passing classified information, but the case will ultimately be dismissed. Not because he’s innocent, of course.
Recall that when Bush picked Michael Mukasey to succeed Alberto Gonzalez as Attorney General, Democrats Dianne Feinstein and Charles Schumer inexplicably supported the nomination, even though Mukasey refused to take a stand against torture. Liberals were outraged, but AIPAC members Feinstein and Schumer knew what they were doing. Now that Jewish activists have been given the signal to pressure the government into dropping the charges, the man who has final say in the Department of Justice is an Orthodox Jew. - n0gnuz, on 05/15/2008, -2/+23Shame the Judeocentric national-level media is whitewashing this. Here we have a leader of the most-powerful lobby in the country -- the lobby that pressured our government to enter this disastrous war on behalf of Israel -- on trial for SPYING for ISRAEL.
- EmporerTitus, on 05/16/2008, -2/+18Better idea: rise up against treacherous unregistered foreign agents that spy for other countries.
- lazerus9, on 05/16/2008, -1/+8We should just rise up period!
- roosevans, on 05/16/2008, -2/+12Even if person that represents one of America's allies takes classified US documents, that person is a spy and should be dealt with accordingly. Though Israel calls Itself a stanch ally of America, that doesn't entitle Her to our classified documents. More and more I am perceiving the disturbing alliance between American neo-cons and Israeli Zionists. Apparently the influence of this alliance reaches into the upper echelons of America's governing bodies and agencies.

- Truzseeker, on 05/23/2008, -0/+1Good case illustrating that there are unwritten laws for the privileged and separate written laws for the masses. Just another day in the empire paradise.
