- InfidelAl, on 04/13/2008, -6/+1That wasn't a question, it was a rant.
- herkimer65, on 04/16/2008, -1/+1Apparently you haven't had a remedial English class. Go take one and then come back when you can submit a comment that doesn't make you sound like an uneducated moron.
- RPliberty, on 04/14/2008, -0/+3Hey (InfidelAl), I'm Canadian and I know that military servicemen swear to uphold the Constitution which states wars may only be declared by Congress...and for good reason. Petraeus swore to the Constitution as did Crocker. You can look forward to a lot worse than a rant.
- InfidelAl, on 04/14/2008, -1/+1Hello. I'm prior service (seperated about three years ago from the USAF) and took the same oath. Still don't see how it relates to the "rant". Asking Petraeus about the morality of the situation he was put into isn't appropriate in my opinion. It not his job to judge it in those terms. The General was brought there to discuss about the status of events on the ground. Not to give his opinion on whether it was the right thing to do.
It seems like Paul took the opportunity to grand stand for a bit, though viewing the other politicans, that's not an uncommon event.

- Robjayne, on 04/14/2008, -1/+2His non answer to last question is indicative of most military and political figures not knowing what the oath they took is about. I was in the same boat when I took the same oath in 1969. I was young and dumb and thought Viet Nam was a good thing. My best friend was killed for nothing along with over 50,000 other of our best. The same thing in Iraq. What a sad waste. No other candidate other than Paul would stop this insanity.
- herkimer65, on 04/16/2008, -0/+1General Betrayus is a bought and paid for shill. No wonder my uncle retired as a 2 star General when the getting out what good.
