- QuantumBios, on 10/11/2008, -43/+259Just in time for Obama to sell America out to the globalists.
- odigity, on 10/11/2008, -9/+134McCain will do the same if he wins.
- martinherrera, on 10/11/2008, -4/+104ron paul is getting angry, good, im behind you Ron 100%
- Orbity, on 10/11/2008, -6/+103I don't know what to do, but I need to do something. This can't be allowed to continue. A very small minority are hijacking our freedoms and our money. I hope the 'Ents' (Americans) stir soon.
- marcabminion, on 10/11/2008, -4/+96I don't care what they come up with - it will all be bad, for the economy, for America, for the World.
Jefferson would have kicked them all in the nuts - repeatedly. - l800LEMMINGS, on 10/11/2008, -8/+84i'm impressed fox news aired this
- inactive, on 10/11/2008, -3/+74The IMF is meeting in Washington this weekend. World Bank chief Robert Zoellick has proposed expanding the G7. Zoellick is a China-phile that was instrumental in getting China admitted into the WTO. Look for China to get a huge role in a New Central World Bank in exchange for not dumping dollars on the World Market. Zoellick is also a former Goldman Sachs executive like Secretary of Treasury "Hank" Paulson. He was also a Neocon PNAC signer that advocated going to war with Iraq.
- CChandler2423, on 10/11/2008, -4/+70I mention this to my family who doesn't visit any other webpage than their email and I come off a a "crazy person".
I'm starting to think ignorance really is bliss. - brad3378, on 10/11/2008, -1/+57If I had to take a wild uneducated guess, I'd say that it is dropping for the same reasons that most other commodities are. I'm heavily invested in copper right now so I've been following it closely.
Copper is primarily an industrial metal and the global slowdown has been greatly reducing its use causing a reduction in price. Silver also has industrial uses and outperforms copper for many uses, but it's still too expensive to be considered as a direct replacement to copper.
This is my favorite website for tracking metal prices:
http://www.investmenttools.com/futures/metals/inde ...
Maybe the charts will help to give you some hints?
I can't verify my suspicions, but I think that the really big funds have been liquidating heavily and dumping their commodity holdings to free up cash. If my suspicion is true, there's a chance there might be a big spike coming. Then again, there's also a buzz on Bloomberg about going into a deflationary recession or depression. I must admit that I need to do my homework and decide if I should exit or hold on for the long haul.
Anyway, if somebody else can answer this question better, I'd love to hear a better explanation.
There's so much stuff going on in the world right now, it's even difficult for a news junkie like me to keep up. - Hiltonizer, on 10/11/2008, -5/+59fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudge

Please, join us in a nationwide protest against the Federal Reserve. 11/22
(Yes I realize the website is a little ghetto, but the turnout will be good none the less.) - radu79, on 10/11/2008, -0/+47Well, at least now they kind of implicitly acknowledge that he was right, because they give him so much airtime.
Too bad this depression didn't come a few months ago, preferably before January, so more people would give a ***** about the economy, rather than abortions and terrorism. - DiscoLando, on 10/11/2008, -5/+52I haven't yet begun to tire of saying this - now is the time for the advocates of Liberty to stand up and make their voices heard. The Republicrats have made it clear by their actions that they value saving their own skin over preserving the principles of the Constitution.
Also, did Ron say 'they don't know what the hell they're doing'? That made me laugh! - inactive, on 10/11/2008, -4/+48Many have been so worried about a NAU, looks possible the powers that be may just skip that part :-( God Help Us!

- PabloMac, on 10/11/2008, -0/+38It certainly won't matter what we the people want.
- inactive, on 10/11/2008, -5/+43If Ron said "Everyone get a gun and head to Washington, it's time to restore the Republic," I might go.
- Rally603, on 10/11/2008, -0/+37Because so many people are actually getting stirred up about this situation and the bailout, now seems like the perfect time for Ron Paul to break into the mainstream. He carries a banner that the people can get behind.
- Endit, on 10/11/2008, -9/+45When will Ron Paul ever learn? You don't get elected by being smart. You have to ***** and appeal to the common idiot. That's the only way he'll ever be elected - stooping down.

- algaeturd, on 10/11/2008, -2/+35And republicans thought McCAIN is more intelligent, qualified and capable than PAUL?
McCain: "I don't know much about economics..."
DUH. You don't say.
Republicans ***** the pooch big time on this one, if they would have nominated Paul and things went down like they have in the past month, we'd be SET. As it is, you have dumb and dumber manning your ship and steering us straight toward the nearest iceberg. Great. - simplyintricate, on 10/11/2008, -1/+33Come on guys, we won't let this happen! We are strong and this will not happen without a fight. Let's organize and show these guys what we've got!
- avrygoodfrnd, on 10/11/2008, -0/+31WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN???
- SOULaziouz, on 10/11/2008, -4/+34So...has anyone seen Zeitgeist? I believe there's mention of the formation of a bank just like the one he mentions...I'm kind of scared.
- zephyr42, on 10/11/2008, -0/+30I love change!
- Dennisisok, on 10/11/2008, -0/+30What if the G7 do propose 1 world central bank?
- Patori, on 10/11/2008, -0/+28We'd be *****.
- cgbspender, on 10/11/2008, -2/+30Should we now elect a man that has told us again and again that the mess we are in now would come and who actually has a sane and constitutional way to fix it? Nah, let's just vote for McWar because otherwise the terrorists win or Obama because change and stuff and he is not Bush.
And besides, there are more interesting things to talk about. Palin's daughter is pregnant, McCain is old and could die tomorrow, Obama got a terrorist name and is a muslim, white supremacists, black supremacists, blah, blah.
At least with them the government will keep kicking foreign ass and wiping yours, for a small fee of course. I mean, your freedom, a few months income each year and borrowing money that our children and their children will have to pay back sounds like a reasonable price for that. - itseffinkasey, on 10/11/2008, -3/+30If half the population wasn't ignorant and willing to listen to some body who makes sense, then this guy would be our president.
- arcooke, on 10/11/2008, -5/+29That used to be the case.. not so much after all the Obama worshipers started overrunning Digg and burying every political article not supporting him.
- magoghm, on 10/11/2008, -1/+25Because we have a bunch of ***** screaming: "We have a liquidity crisis!". That scares people. They are afraid they might not have cash when they need it, so they're selling all their assets to ensure they have cash available.
Everybody wants dollars right now, so the dollar goes up. Those in power are very scared about the panic that would occur if people aren't able to get dollars, so they're are focusing all their efforts in making sure everybody is able to obtain dollars. And the only way they can do that is by creating more dollars out of thin air.
All those new dollars being created right now ensure that the dollar will loose it's purchasing power. But that doesn't happen right away, it usually takes takes two to three years for the effect of an inflationary monetary policy to be reflected on the price of stuff you buy.
In summary:
1. Everyone wants dollars right now (and the dollar goes up).
2. The government is scared and will do everything it can to make sure everybody gets those dollars (by inflating the money supply).
3. A couple of years from now everybody will have dollars, but the cheapest hamburger at McDonald's will sell for $30 USD.
So, the next few months might provide an excellent opportunity to buy gold and silver at low prices :) - jerrycan, on 10/11/2008, -0/+23The market is being flooded with paper silver and gold (silver that you buy but don't take ownership of). Flooding availability keeps price down. Keeps people from "wanting" to buy it "since it is going down too". Try this. Go to kitco.com and try buying some silver. See how much you get.....You can't get it anywhere.
go see for yourself: From here https://online.kitco.com/bullion/completelist.html
a link goes to here :https://online.kitco.com/popups/lowstock.html
Now wouldn't a scarcity raise prices? Try other Gold/silver suppliers. You can't get this stuff anywhere? Why? The bank will sell you all you want if you "store" it with them. This is pure FRAUD.
and yes gold is dropping too from the highs of a few months ago. Can't let joe public divest themselves of the dollar. - FaithclubDotNet, on 10/11/2008, -1/+24I am not a Ron Paul supporter, but the more politicians that won't fall into fear and bull"crap" tactics the better.
- inactive, on 10/11/2008, -0/+22Again, "if this were a [democracy] it'd be a heckuva lot easier."

- mikehoskins, on 10/11/2008, -0/+22No, he said that they don't know what the "devil" they're doing.
I listened to it twice, myself (fact check and all). - inactive, on 10/11/2008, -1/+22real small-government conservatives don't watch Faux.

A good place to discuss ideas. - kday, on 10/11/2008, -0/+20Woohoo, Digg users are waking up!
I can't stress how proud I am. - odigity, on 10/11/2008, -0/+20That's an excellent question. A better question is - why is this major depression in gold and silver coinciding with the greatest silver and gold shortage this country has ever seen?
Basic economics tell's you when supply shrinks, the price goes up. Yet, we have a shortage - almost no one can get silver, and very little gold - while the price stays low, and in fact, dropped again today.
I suspect manipulation by the powers that be. Something like the Plunge Protection Team. How, why, I'm not sure. But this isn't normal. - j.carcinogen, on 10/11/2008, -0/+19Yeah first time I've ever heard him use anything remotely considered a swear word. I lol'ed too.
- inactive, on 10/11/2008, -5/+24We told ya', and Dr. Paul has been telling you for decades. Only 541 diggs as of now. I expect the Obama maniacs and their bury brigade will be around soon to bury this story to China because they are afraid of the truth. This is like 9/11... scare the people in to getting what you want. It's called TERRORISM, whether they are dressed in robes and turbans or business suits.
- avrygoodfrnd, on 10/11/2008, -3/+21Yep. Some random guy on the internet. Reminds of a certain Vice Presidential nominee pick that recently stirred up some controversy... Ehh, naahh.
- ShogunWarPig, on 10/11/2008, -0/+18Well then, isn't the USA's future looking just bright and sunny.
- sadsadrobot, on 10/11/2008, -1/+19We need a leader for the rebellion. I elect you.
