OK, Obama, please listen up: You tried to be nice, and get the Republicans on board. I understand diplomacy is important, and you gave it a good shot.
The Republicans don't care. They will happily try and make sure that everyone loses, rather than see you succeed.
Now stop being Mr. Nice Guy and be a leader. Leaders sometimes need to make tough choices.
Screw the Republicans, and lets pass this thing. - Skeptica, on 08/20/2009, -0/+1The most amazing thing is not one single Republican representative supported the health care bill. 150 million U.S. Republicans with only one mind? Not bloody likely. Is it a case of representatives not representing their constituents? Probably. So, why can't the Democrats be unified like the Republicans? Because Republicans are like dogs, they are dumb and have no fear and hunt in packs while the Democrats are like cats, they break apart and each run for its own life at the first sign of danger.
- 7papa7, on 08/20/2009, -0/+1This shouldn't surprise you, the left has a solid history of not accepting responsibility for their actions and living by the mantra "It's not my fault". I would be absolutely amazed if they ever accepted responsibility for anything they did unless it brought favor to them. They remind me of a 2 year old.
- 7papa7, on 08/20/2009, -0/+1Let the blue dogs and the socialists keep at each others throats. The best thing that could happen is no bill based on the socialist leanings of the bill that Obama wants. If it is not free market driven I hope it fails miserably. If their were some intelligent ideas in it such as tort reform, medical savings accounts, tax credits to purchase your health care and ideas like that it may truly be reform. Now it is an attempt at a socialist take over which will ration health care, kill off the elderly, have long waits for needed tests and the list goes on. Just look at Canada and England and you will see the disaster that this plan would be. Obama only wants input that is against free market and pro government take over, he does not want discussion that would perpetuate the free market system.
