Rocket attack on city of 120,000 in Israel
iht.com — Palestinian militants fire rockets nearly daily at Sderot and other Israeli border towns near Gaza. But by reaching Ashkelon, a city of 120,000 people about 17 kilometers (11 miles) north of Gaza, Hamas raised the stakes considerably.

I'd be pissed if someone took over my country and locked me into a refuge Gaza camp, but then I would be pissed if the people I locked up in a Gaza camp kept firing rockets at the land I took from them.

There was the British Mandate of Palestine which had a Jewish state and a Muslim state (now known as Jordan), and before that there was the Ottoman Empire. If you keep going back further, there was the Kingdom of Israel.
That the Palestinians have any valid claim to the land is perhaps the dumbest propaganda of the past 50 years. And they're not 'locked in camps,' Arabs have served in the Knesset (Israel's parliament), the IDF, and on Israel's Supreme Court. There are Israeli Arabs who choose to participate in Israeli society and shun terrorism, and then there are a group of people who call themselves Palestinians who vote for Hamas- a terrorist organization known as such not just by the US but also the EU and Japan- whose end goal is the destruction of the state of Israel.

- NapoleonGold, on 03/05/2008, -0/+1You forget that Hamas made its way toward acceptance with huge civil aid to "Palestine" citizens in the form of food and human aid. You are of course correct that the word Palestine is a western concept, but you forget that bedouin way of life neither knew or accepted a property style of life but one of nomadic lifestyle. Of course that is a general view and there were farmers and merchants that had a solid home front with market places. I understand that you can not understand this since you only see an uninhabited land that Jewish immigrants moved from to escape the horrors of Europe with a large influx of American Jews. All of these Jews initially payed for the property they lived but what ensued was a massive land grab that neighboring nations such as Egypt which was occupied by the British as well, saw as the same arrogance that the west had treated them with for half a century.
So check you math jackass. Israel is the biggest little guy I have ever seen.
