Rev. Jerry Falwell dies at 73

news.yahoo.com — The Rev. Jerry Falwell, who founded the Moral Majority and built the religious right into a political force, died Tuesday shortly after being found unconscious in his office at Liberty University, a school executive said. He was 73.

    Well considering the guy supported segregation (he called the civil rights movement the 'civil wrongs movement') and was an outspoken supporter of the Apartheid regime in South Africa and said of gays, "AIDS is the wrath of a just God against homosexuals." - I'd agree. The guy did have 'heart challenges'.

    Anyway gays are getting married, blacks can vote and Apartheid is over. *$%& you Falwell and burn, baby burn.

  • ugh333, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2@atheistacolyte: i'm similarly conflicted. i consider myself a friend to peace and tolerance...but part of me can't help but feel better that an enemy of peace and tolerance is removed from the struggle.

    Maybe there is a higher power that can take vicious lives like Falwell
