People of faith need to be aware of this--it's not the exception, it's becoming the norm. We must educate ourselves. My faith is solid. But I'm not going to try to discuss my position with someone of another position based on MY FAITH. I can discuss it based on scientific and historically accurate evidence. Can they?! Nope--they have to simply try to discredit my FAITH to 'win' an argument.
Christians, educate yourselves so that when you are faced with this situation, you can use factual data to back up your position. Check out AnswersInGenesis.com for sources. You can find a lot of others at reputable Biblically-based sites such as FocusOnTheFamily.org.
Think about it, whether you are a Christian or not--look at the source of your information before you decide whether to believe the information! Baby Boomers everywhere have been 'propagandized' to believe that evolution is a fact, rather than an unsubstantiated theory. An entire generation of adults (I am part of that generation) was taught in public school that it is true, yet there has been little evidence to even point in that direction, and what evidence was used has been disproven in recent years, yet they cling to it like it is FACT.
(remember someone disproving the commonly held belief that the earth was flat? People held on to that belief as well with evidence to the contrary.)
If the supporters of evolution REALLY wanted the truth, they'd be willing to find it, even if it disproved their initial thinking. I'm confident enough in my own beliefs to discuss it rationally with someone who believes differently...I do not see this in the pro-evolution crowd. - exgop, on 08/13/2008, -1/+4Jesus please return so I don't have to put up with anymore of the BS
- Christianptriot, on 08/13/2008, -0/+3Of course, it had to be in Kalifornia.
- m1cobra, on 08/13/2008, -0/+3Did these students seriously think , the ruling would be in their favor? Not in the state of Kalifornication.
