Rent subsidies waitlist at all-time high in Baltimore Co. MD

baltimoresun.com — About 12,775 low-income families in Baltimore County have registered for the federal Housing Choice Voucher Program, which is believed to be an all-time high. The current number is double what was seen only four years ago. Rising rents due to the real estate boom and increasingly expensive utilities account for the increase in subsidy requests.
