Rath Yatra in Puri: 6 People died, 12 injured in Stampede

orissatimes.net — The much-awaited Rath Yatra in Puri, began on a disastrous note, as at least 6 people died and 12 injured in a stampede near Devi Subhadra's chariot. Three women are among the dead. The Orissa CM has announced a compensation of Rs. 1 lakh ($2,500) for each victim.
