Rare 9/11 Close Range Video Of Both Planes Hitting Towers

- antineocon, on 10/12/2007, -89/+358I sure hope we the people can bring these murderers to justice. Hell I wish someone would do something other than invade innocent countries and restrict our freedoms...
- CannedMango, on 10/12/2007, -73/+384I'm with you antineocon. The saddest part of this all of that no one really seems to care about justice at all. As soon as 9/11 went down, all the administration seemed to care about was how they could use it to advance the plans they were already forming.
- BZKyle, on 10/12/2007, -164/+30We should put them on planes and fly them into some of their own buildings...
- colorjam, on 10/12/2007, -120/+31I agree I hope they are caught.. however this is a culture that is attacking us.. not a country.. I can be goth for instance and be from Spain.. There are people that hated us this bad from Iraq.. as well as Afghanistan.. We have to shake it all up.. we can't be selective and let this happen again..
- littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -105/+11NOTE ON WATCHING VIDEO: For some reason you have to click on "Pause" to get the "Play" button to appear.

Have you ever read the USA PATRIOT Act? Judging by your post, your obviously haven't. I wrote a paper on it and therefore, read it in it's entirely. Google for the provisions of the Act if you want a quick outline of all of the limitings of freedom it instills and what types of things it allows the gov't to do to prviate citizens, with or without their knowledge. - rtini, on 10/12/2007, -70/+35The murderers died in the crash, remember?

Some of them, not all of them. Just because they didn't have their hands on the plane's yoke, doesn't mean they were not murderers. - EvolvedFromApes, on 10/12/2007, -23/+65@blockmelosers: Habeas Corpus for one. Right to privacy for another.
Reading is fundamental! - senatorkevin, on 10/12/2007, -23/+155How is this video rare!? I got replayed a million times just like every other clip. The real question is, how does this inaccurate crap make the front page!? (The title of the video, not the actual content.)
- tonich03, on 10/12/2007, -86/+9I just dug this story 10 diggs like in this video I did yesterday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcfRqd-PiC8 . I may get banned, but I thing digg censures this stories and this has be going on for some time.. Spread the word
- RedRummy, on 10/12/2007, -40/+7uuhh... the murderers died didn't they?
right there. - Absinthminded64, on 10/12/2007, -52/+7This mass grave was filled with Bacon .. Yummy Bacon. . The restaurant had Bacon. . Probably a decent number of BLTs brought from home... It was surely on a lot of desks at that time of morning...
Would be a shame for anyone flying those planes to have had a problem with sharing a grave with Bacon. - cam503, on 10/12/2007, -8/+46@ tonich03:
This is not a Digg flaw. The number of times a story has been dugg doesn't increase on your screen as soon as someone else diggs it (aka in "real time"). Instead, the story reflects the amount it has increased since the page first loaded and when you dugg it yourself. The greatly increased number of diggs you are seeing isn't you, it's you and everyone else on digg.
I can't believe you made a video about it. It seems you forgot to bring your logic to the internets today. - tonich03, on 10/12/2007, -35/+8@cam503
No, you're wrong. Even if I "flood digg" a 1 digg story up to 15 for example and refresh fast, it's there to stay. Try it for yourself, it's all clicking like crazy. This is huge. http://digg.com/security/Digg_hack_It_s_possible_to_dig_multiple_times_comments_and_stories_easily
EDIT: What was I thinking, you're absolutely right. I'd swear I saw it for real. Cheers. - tonich03, on 10/12/2007, -51/+232Another update. You can definitely double digg COMMENTS, but not stories. Just click fast, you'll se how it jumps twice.
- ufobrian1, on 10/12/2007, -22/+92O come on every one know it was our own government that did that. just ask charlie sheen.

- JJsays, on 10/12/2007, -26/+8Dam USA invading Africa after Pearl Harbor, and then diverting needed war resources to Europe instead of the War on Japan.
Ahhh, you a good little Al Queda agent aren't you? - boredom985, on 10/12/2007, -24/+11To say that 9/11 does not warrant reinvestigation is really quite illogical.
To all the people digging down the people who want a new investigation then you are probably the most spectacular cases of a 'Coincidence Theorists' The amount of things you must believe are coincidences (and I'm talking hundreds of coincidences) is amazing. You actually end up feeling quite silly after you think about it. - marcuschi, on 10/12/2007, -10/+49I don't understand what you mean by "rare".. These were publicly available for a long time.
I remember seeing the face the day after and got all freaked out (it's 1:02-1:03 in this video):

Yes you can amigo. You can't double bury but you can double dig. True fact. - night141, on 10/12/2007, -12/+47@tonchi
I already replied in your dumb-ass story but I'll go ahead and post it here too. This "issue" with the multiple thumbs-up glitch has been discussed and resolved long before you made your earth-shattering discovery and got your panties in a wad about it. The multiple thumbs-up display is browser-side, and not server-side. You can Digg up as many times as you can, but only one thumbs up will register with the server.
There. Problem solved. Please take your ritalin. - popothebright, on 10/12/2007, -10/+58I still haven't heard any word about invading Saudi Arabia.... It was 17 Saudi's that did it afterall....
- Cl1mh4224rd, on 10/12/2007, -2/+52"Another update. You can definitely double digg COMMENTS, but not stories. Just click fast, you'll se how it jumps twice."
No, you can't. This was a problem a while back, but it was fixed. The "double-digg effect" is a flaw in the client-side JavaScript (redundant, I know). You can double-click, and the number will increase by 2, but if you refresh the page, you'll notice that it will decrease by 1 (provided no one else dugg the comment up while you were refreshing the page). This isn't because someone else dugg the comment down. It's because the refresh pulls the correct number from the database. - Jlaugh, on 10/12/2007, -21/+5Yes you can double and even triple vote on comments I just tried it.
- tonich03, on 10/12/2007, -28/+7OK, tnx for clearing that up. Burry me, I deserve it.
- 3dom, on 10/12/2007, -11/+25Old news. Old footage. Indeed I can safely say the majority of western civilisation has seen it. A tragedy it was, but it must go down in history and stay there. Allow me to express my regret for the victims and their families, but that the constant reminder every week, month, year of these events as a political instrument of fear or nostalgia is an insult to those who died that day. I find it a little disconcerting that people (or the Public) so rapidly attach meaning and despair to the deaths of completely unrelated strangers besides being countrymen yet care so little about the plight of others in different circumstances in so many other regards. To elaborate, does a massacre in Darfur elicit a response even remotely similar?

- IMustBeEmo, on 10/12/2007, -6/+17I agree with the fact that our administration is ruining our Constitution etc. But here's something to think about. You're either free or you're not. There is no such thing as "limited freedom." If your 'freedom' is limited, you're not free. The United States isn't free. We detain 9-year-old children, separate them from their parents, and throw them in a jail cell. We wage wars on innocent countries, claiming we are freeing them. Why can't we free ourselves first? Free the people on our own soil?

So a wahabi billionnaire (who's family we let loose) did it and we lumped an entire religion into our war on terror. Guess what, they are looking hard for other excuses to keep this war going cause bin laden won't be around forever.
Remember: a billionnaire organized this. We havn't had attacks here NOT because of the patriot acts and ***** but because the billionnaire is on the run and we're watching his money.
Now, who is Saddam again? and why are we going into Iran? Like you said....there were Saudi's on that plane if you want to get really jingoistic about it. Peace ooot. - Illuminatist, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2It wasn't the terrorists that restricted our freedom, it was the government's...

- littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -30/+9Conspiracies don't happen anyway, silly.
- dshPls, on 10/12/2007, -24/+20If they have supporting evidence then people like me wouldn't dismiss them so fast. (I'm not interesting in google videos either, so don't post 400 links to ***** college movies entitled "scary muzic, matrix quotes and 9/11 was inside joblol!" )
When you can explain to me how hundreds of holes in the walls of WTC went unnoticed (they planted bombs right?), when you can defy the laws of physics and contradict the fact that the frame of WTC lost over 60% of its load bearing capacity, then we'll chat. - littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -31/+32You have me confused with "Inside Job" Evangelists. I'm not one. That's not even why I posted this video.
I don't know what happened on 9-11. But I don't buy the official story, and neither does 60%+ of the country. We'll probably never know.
BTW, is that why the powers that be won't release the 100+ Pentagon videos they have? Because they think it will be "giving the Conspiracy wackos a forum to post their insanity?" - dshPls, on 10/12/2007, -23/+23"I'm not one. That's not even why I posted this video."
Tha's what I thought, but unfortunatly truthers flock to anything 9/11 related and proclaim they "know something you don't" and try to spread their blantant and unwarrented hate towards "the man."
"I don't know what happened on 9-11. But I don't buy the official story, and neither does 60%+ of the country."
Public opinion doesn't justify much. What's the official story, and what's incorrect about it?
The Pentagon tapes prove nothing, an absence of evidence doesn't prove your counterclaim is automatically correct. Why wern't they released? I have no idea. It doesn't bother me, because I've heard eye witness accounts of the scene there. Sonofdy can chime in that he personally knows people who saw it. - littlebylittle, on 10/12/2007, -27/+11Like I said, I don't know what happened. It's the smell of it all that bothers me. But, life goes on. What can I do about it? Nothing.
- enzideout, on 10/12/2007, -16/+35Where do you get this 60%+ number of people in this country that don't believe that terrorists attacked us on 9/11/2001?
- SultanTravi, on 10/12/2007, -15/+18That 60% figure is just a common conspiracy theorist ***** statistic.
The only thing I hate more than an idiot who thinks they know the "truth" behind 9/11 is an idiot who claims to be reasonable, but doubts the official story. - venir, on 10/12/2007, -5/+23@enzideout & sultantravi
I do not necessarily buy into the whole conspiracy thing but just to lend some evidence this is probably where littlebylittle got that ~60% number from.
"Many adults in the United States believe the current federal government has not been completely forthcoming on the issue of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, according to a poll by the New York Times and CBS News. 53 per cent of respondents think the Bush administration is hiding something, and 28 per cent believe it is lying."
http://www.angus-reid.com/polls/index.cfm/fuseaction/viewItem/itemID/13469 - chicagobiker, on 10/12/2007, -23/+21So you honestly believe that 14 Saudi 7-11 clerks with no real training simultaneously killed 8 ex-Navy commercial airline pilots with Bic razors and then with no training whatsoever and having flunked out of 1 flight school took the controls of four Boeing 767 aircraft and turned them around at 30,000 feet in the air and 500 miles from their targets and flew them back and hit a 200 yard wide target at 300 miles an hour, dead on, on the FIRST TRY?
- Asianwaste, on 10/12/2007, -13/+960% is a common number jackasses pull out of their ass to appear to have the advantage of a majority, but also stay comfortably near the median so that they can lay blame on a margin of error in the possible event that they are proven wrong.
- noamchomskeet, on 10/12/2007, -14/+10^^^^ Well.....when you say it like, of course it's not gonna seem plausible. Oh, and don't forget about how the central command was in the batcave oh I dunno about 10,000 miles away.
My question is, why was all the rubble moved away so quickly and to such a far away place as china to be melted and recycled. No formal investigation was done into anything, it was like the perfect open shut case, where all the criminals were known only 1 hour after the fact, and oh yeah they also killed themselves so no reason to digg further. - Xarou, on 10/12/2007, -11/+3I always thought it was 53.4893%... who knew it was as simple as 60%
- wonboodoo, on 10/12/2007, -4/+11> "Many adults in the United States believe the current federal government has not been completely forthcoming on the issue of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, according to a poll by the New York Times and CBS News. 53 per cent of respondents think the Bush administration is hiding something, and 28 per cent believe it is lying."
If truthers are using these numbers to support their "a lot of people think the government did it" theory then they are taking these numbers out of context. I'd say the vast majority who think the administration is hiding something or lying think that the administration is doing so because they are wanting to cover up their incompetence prior to the attacks, not because they think the administration was a perpetrator. - noamchomskeet, on 10/12/2007, -9/+3Delete
- Run4ny, on 10/12/2007, -20/+22@sultantravi
The Official Conspiracy Theory is filled with more holes than there are assholes on this planet.
-19 Camel Jockeys were able to bypass a multi-billion dollar defense and intelligence infrastructure - all orchestrated in a cave in Afghanistan.
-Do it on the same day that NORAD "coincidentally" were doing terrorist drills/war games that eerily resembled the actual attacks. If I was a terrorist like, say, Dick Cheney, I'd carry out these attacks on a day like this to keep hot shot fighter pilots from actually preventing the attacks.
-Massive put options on United Airline stocks a few days prior to 9/11.
-The collapses of WTC 1, 2, and 7 that all defied the laws of physics. They fell faster than free fall and instead of chunks of concrete, we got very fine powder; signatures of controlled demolition.
-Look at the explosions on the right side of WTC 7 just prior to its free fall style collapse. http://youtube.com/watch?v=antql-Nz4bY If this doesn't raise a red flag to any reasonable and sane person, nothing will. The way this building came down is completely inconsistent to the official conspiracy theory.
-WTC 7 was never hit by a plane and it was the farthest WTC building away from the Towers in the WTC Plaza. WTC 3, 4, 5, 6 were brought down by controlled demolition weeks later because they still stood despite being severally damaged. WTC 7 came down hours after the Towers due to "fire". Would be first building in history to just collapse due to fire. It housed the CIA, FBI, Giuliani’s emergency bunker and others.
-Government won't prove that an airliner hit the Pentagon. There is no reason why it can't. There were many cameras pointing at the site of impact. Still won't show clear footage of airliner crashing into the side of the building.
Look at all that's happened in the 5 years after 9/11. Ask yourself, "Who benefits?"
What you're forgetting or won't accept is this one simple fact: The Government has never proven without a shadow of a doubt their Conspiracy Theory. It's still a Conspiracy Theory that would not hold up in an actual court of law. The logic is too flawed. The evidence is not present.
9/11 was an inside job, my friend. Can't accept this fact? You're either in denial or retarded. Or both. - hcl40u, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2I'm not siding with the "truthers" a 100% here but I'm sure we all can agree that plenty of unbelieveable things happened on Sept. 11. I have to say though these truthers need to use a better approach if they want to not just be dismissed on sight.
- JusticeAK, on 10/12/2007, -10/+12I've been taking flight training for 13 hours and I still have a hard time getting a Cessna 172 lined up for final, at 80 knots, And you want me to believe a couple guys with Zero hours on a 757 can make precision turns at over 300 kts and slam into the tower? It's not going to happen.
- SultanTravi, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10@run4ny
-Yes, the 19 terrorists did succeed because of flaws in how the FBI and CIA communicated. If you had any knowledge of our government's anti-terror system, you'd know this. But since you believe a ***** stupid conspiracy theory, you're not someone who is likely educated.
-Yep, it was a coincidence--sort of. The government knew there were plans to do this sort of thing, so of course they were running tests.
-I love the stock option conspiracy theory. So what, thousands of people all over the country knew about it? And it's still a secret? ***** dolt.
-The collapses were not faster than free fall. That's literally impossible from any conspiracy theory about demolition or other means. You don't understand momentum, kinetic energy, potential energy, or any other concept of basic Newtonian physics, so shut your ***** mouth. Fine powder is the result of tons of building collapsing. Again, where are the hundreds of people who put these charges in the buildings?
-That WTC 7 stuff is windows being damaged by the warping building.
-Plenty of buildings have collapsed from fires. I think you meant the first skyscraper to collapse due to fire, which isn't true either. Anyway, pictures of it before the collapse show damage from the falling towers 1 and 2. Just because it was farther away doesn't mean it was destroyed by controlled demolition. A scientist wouldn't accept evidence like this; neither would I.
-Another misconception. They released footage from the one camera that was watching the pentagon. How do you get hundreds of witnesses to shut up about a cruise missile? And please don't claim that you or any other idiot conspiracy theorist knows how the cameras there are laid out.
-The government doesn't have to prove what is obvious from phone calls from hijacked airliners, mountains of intelligence, and the mere fact that these things occurred. You are a stupid tool for believing the ***** you read online.
@JusticeAk
The men took flight school. Did you miss that, or are you just ignoring it? Anyway, just because you suck at flying doesn't mean they did. I have less hours than you in similar, small planes (beechcraft) and I can aim my plane at whatever I need to. - Asianwaste, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4@run4ny
I've got a question for you. The impact of 9-11 came from the overall attack itself. The affect it has on America would've have been just as sufficient had the towers not collapsed. So after everyone has clearly seen the planes collide into the towers, why overkill it with a controlled explosion? Wouldn't the goal be grab the hearts and minds of America with as little self-harm as possible? I mean even Hitler was smarter than that. He just blew up a radio station to declare war against Poland. - Asianwaste, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I'd also like to help illustrate how nothing can fall faster than free fall. Basic physics says that nothing can fall at a faster rate than the acceleration of gravity. On Earth it just happens to be 9.8 m/s... actually on a high point like the towers, it'd be somewhat slower. The only way this can be any way faster than free fall is if there was an initial force at the moment of drop.
Imagine if you will, dropping 2 books at the same time off a roof top. They will land at nearly at the same time observing any other interferences such as air resistance. Now taking the same two books but instead of simply releasing one, you push one down. That one will fall with an initial lump sum of force more than the one that was simply dropped. That initial force throughout the fall does not increase by any proportion. The book will just fall the at the standard acceleration of 9.8 ms/s^2 + initial push.
Now this means that if the explosives were placed at the base of the towers, that would mean the explosion would have no affect on the over all speed at which the towers had fell. In fact if anything it would be a resisting force slowing the fall of the towers. Theoretically for the towers to fall faster than free fall, there would have to have been a push down from the top. Which is impossible.
If I am wrong, please open a highschool physics book and give me some theorems and formulas that proves your case. - h00paj00, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5@dshpls: I know we've had our disagreements here on Digg, but I commend you for being on the correct side of this debate. So-called "truthers" are a joke. It's amazing how many people will follow a paranoid schizophrenic's conspiracy theory as if it were a religion.
- dshPls, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I don't like to think of things as correct/incorrect, but more of more or less likely.
I don't know for an absolute truth that we landed on the moon, or that 9/11 was an "inside job." But no evidence supports this, therefore it's extremely unlikely, and to act as if it's absolute truth and anyone who doesn't agree is an unenlightened idiot is...well the average truther. - asisin, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3I can almost feel the seething hatred that flows from diggers here that are opposed to the conspiracy theory...why the hate? We'll go away if we're convinced, and we're as much (or more) about science as you guys.
Anyways, I hope you agree that the fall of the towers was 'near' freefall. Now if the weight and the resulting impact of the floors above causes a floor to collapse - and impact = F (weight) x delta t...summate that over the many floors that 'collapsed'/buckled and you'll begin to find that you'll accumulate enough time to significantly depart from freefall. The only explanation here is the floor below gets taken out before the floor above it falls - which is how controlled demolitions work. Also, if the collapse is due to structural buckling (of various components) - theres no way the building will just collapse perfectly onto itself.
What about the molten steel found on the site? Where does that come from..?
Have you seen that pentagon video??? You're blind if you think thats a 757 crashing into the pentagon.
Also, hope you're following the Sibel Edmonds case where has finally gone to a public hearing in congress (search digg), definitely some interesting information thats going to come out of that.
I wish someone would do a documentary, or research the victims who were in the planes of the pentagon and the United flight that crashed in PA....
I'm just not satisfied with the information thats out there to conclude that the terrorists acted alone on this (all the attacks on 9/11). As for motive for doing something like this, theres plenty floating around both in the PNAC camp as well as Al Qaeda. We NEED more information and investigation into different matters related to this, and thats all we're asking for.
- fluidfoundation, on 10/12/2007, -32/+20If 9/11 was an inside job to create more power for Bush/Conservatives etc etc...
Wouldnt it make more sense to pin it on blacks or mexicans? Polarize America against them so the democrats would loose their voter base?
If the theory is correct about placing tons of actual demo inside the building, why risk anyone getting caught? Wouldnt you have to get the building security people involved or someone high up in the place to make sure people are positioned away from wherever demo charges are getting planted?
The government may be fools but they're not stupid. They knew people were just itching for a reason to hate Bush. Why do something that would obviously cause politics to sway out of their favor?
Why stop at only the WTC and Pentagon? If you're conspiracy is to make sure that you stay in power and get the most power you can have by instilling fear in people, would it be better to take out more soft targets like malls/churches/skating rinks? What better way to instill fear in people than hit their core values: Where they work, shop, and play?
This is why none of the 9/11 conspiracy talk makes sense to me. There are people much smarter than you or I that would have figured this out before hand, and to do such a downscaled event than what could have happened would seem very inefficient for the outcome achieved.- solidhubris, on 10/12/2007, -16/+6"If the theory is correct about placing tons of actual demo inside the building, why risk anyone getting caught?"

If this was a ploy to start a war, why cripple your own economy? That's plain retarded. There's thousands of buildings in New York, and they had to choose one of the links of the spine of our economy, any other one could have been blown and received the same unifying effect 9-11 mustered.
- noamchomskeet, on 10/12/2007, -12/+9Bush's brother controlled security, and it wouldn't be that difficult to place dyno inside. One DB Admin (Scott Forbes) had a good story to tell, he used to work in those buildings and found out late one night that his databases went out, he later found out that the entire power to the whole building was shut down and security would not let anyone else. This happened a few weeks prior to 911.

Perhaps it's due to several skyscrapers having burned for DAYS and not falling? - Asianwaste, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7Ok, you're comparing red apples to green apples here. Sure buildings can be an erect raging inferno and stand for days, hell maybe even outlast the fire. The difference is the material burning it. Jet Fuel can rise to a temperature that can drastically effect the shape and strength of steel. Compare that to an average building fire where it is most likely being fueled by something no where near as combustible.

Two French brothers were embedded with a group of FDNY firefighters for a few months and just happened to be stationed with them when 9/11 happened. They diverted their original documentary and based it around 9/11, since both of them at and IN the towers. One of them was inside of of them when it began collapsing and in the documentary, there have EXCELLENT footage of people running for their lives as the tower collapses around them. OPEC and The Economic Conquest of Iraq
Bush had the idea of taking over Iraq and then selling all it's oil on the open market to break up OPEC. The big American oil companies quickly nixed that idea because it would have crushed their record profits too.

Weather or not you believe in conspiracy theories or not , the fact is ; some one did plan and executed this highly organized attack , shocking the U.S. and throwing the "go" switch on the war machine . Isn't that in itself a conspiracy ? The fact is ; thousands of innocent people died and may still be dying as a result of that attack still and, no one has a clue why . Sure there are theories about weather or not the Bush administration was in bed with Osama . We may never know . I definitely am not a political analyst and I doubt any of the other posts were written by any either . Just a bunch of people expressing their own "theories" that they have bought into based on whatever media they subscribe to .- grooviekenn, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9I was going to let it slide when I saw "weather" the first time.... but since I saw it a couple of times...
"weather" does not mean the same thing as "whether" - gotamd, on 10/12/2007, -8/+5What are you talking about? The people who planned the attack were the people on the planes. There were a few other people involved as well in the upper levels of Al-Qaeda I'm sure, but that's about it. It's certainly not justification for invading Iraq or Afghanistan but the fact that that happened does not mean there was some huge government conspiracy behind the attacks themselves.
- grooviekenn, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9I was going to let it slide when I saw "weather" the first time.... but since I saw it a couple of times...
- siggyfawn, on 10/12/2007, -15/+12Can someone post a decent reason why the government would want to stage 9/11?
It's already been proven they had no reason to attack Iraq. There were no weapons. Saddam wasn’t working with Bin Laden. And 9/11 wasn't really the force behind the two wars.
The government can do what it wants, without killing Americans. You can scare people, without costing yourself billions and killing 2k+ people. But if you wanted to kill Americans, Bush visits a school, lots of reporters, 2 mins after he leaves a bomb rips through the school, killing 40-50 kids, 15 reporters, blame it on terrorists.
Doesn't risk sending the economy into a spiral, gets the nation worked up that they're trying to assassinate our president, and we make up enough intel to go fight whatever wars we want. Trust me a bomb to kill the president, which ends up killing a whole mess of 1st graders, will get enough bloodlust to go kill some arabs. Blowing up the twin towers was far too risky, and could have sent us into a depression on a worst case situation. (and if unemployment hits 25%, inflation sky rockets, there won’t be any wars trust me)
I just don't see how "they did 9/11 so they could do XYZ" makes a whole bunch of sense. They could do XY before 9/11, and Z could have been done far easier, with fewer deaths, and not in the city which is the heart of our economy.- noamchomskeet, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8Are you kidding me, just because you say "it's been proven" doesn't mean it has been proven. Quite the opposite, it HAS been proven that Bush and his cronies wanted to attack Iraq, for a long time coming, even before they wanted to attack Afghanistan, oh yeah remember that country, supposedly responsible for 911.
I'm sick of people on digg just putting up random statements without any sources or facts.
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/01/09/60minutes/main592330.shtml
^ in case you thought I wouldn't have any supporting evidence. - siggyfawn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Are you stupid?
I said it's been proven there was no reason to attack Iraq.
They did it because they WANTED TO. Duh.
Maybe you should re-read posts before commenting. My point was that they could have started the wars without risking massive economic fallout, without the massive deaths, by planned bombings to incite fear. Not to mention staging 9/11 basically empowered the terrorists tenfold. Now every 16 year old arab thinks Bin Laden can strike at the heart of USA and the USA is powerless to stop it.
A few small deadly bombings would have had the same effect on the public, less risk to the economy, and still get the wars they wanted. Or do I have to break it down again in phonics? - Hacbarton, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4Wow...you're almost retarded.
Place these letters in any way they make sense to you
O L I
And NO, the government could not have done that without 9/11. While it may seem (in retrospect) that we would have supported a war with Iraq on September 10, 2001, it wasn't that way. People were already skeptical of Bush's foreign policy (remember that spy plane fiasco with China?) and so was Congress (despite the Republican majority). They needed something catastrophic, not a bombing of a kindergarten or a fake assassination attempt. That seems to closed and single. Something 9/11-big would make it a war, not a short attack. To clarify, I do not think the government "did" 9/11. However, they certainly used it to advance their own proposals and agendas. - timlopez, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Everything worth learning, you can learn from "60 Minutes".

- boredom985, on 10/12/2007, -9/+5This video is actually quite old. Anyway with regards to the people asking where the poll was saying that a large number of American believe the US govt is not telling the truth about 9/11 it was a New York Times/CBS joint poll. The strange thing is they never actually used it any of their publications or broadcasts... Doesn't really make sense to me?
Also why are people so adamantly against people who question the official version of 9/11? All these people want is a reinvestigation, and after the sham put on I hardly think its surprising. This administration has stretched the loyalty of most of the US population and really does need to be investigated. People who are still blindly patriotic and think whatever the President does is right are just plain ignorant and it is them who are the biggest danger to the US. The War against Iraq was illegal. Its that simple.
I completely understand people digging down comments saying dumb stuff like '9/11 inside job', this is obvious, but when people have pertinent questions with substance i think it is slightly stupid. Calling people nutjobs and conspiracy theorists only goes to highlight the ignorance of some people. Just becuase people believe something you don't is no reason for insults. Weird to see that the smoke for an instant DID really look like a demonic face....
- TheSeraph, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Bothers me so much seeing this tragedy. No matter how long ago it's been.
- MonsterMagnet, on 10/12/2007, -10/+10Example how Bush in his statement said he witnessed the first plane hit the tower from the confines of his Limo and than the second. Which would have been utterly impossible. Although his cabinet claimed it was a mistake and slip of the tongue he clearly states seeing 1 lane than the 2 one. As if he was aware of the impeding dramatic results.
Also no real explanation only cover up on the supposed plane/rocket fired into the Pentagon ! Example size of HOLE in building etc
Or how convient it was that no planes were allowed in flight. But one was one plane was authorized which was the family of Bin Laden, his relatives flown out around the hrs after time of the planes impacts into the towers by the US govt. WHy ? No one even suspected Bin Laden nor was it even made public thinking he was at the time.
Very suspicious the US govt would allow and actaully help get them together and on a plane to safety !!
Please explain that. As these are not conspiracy theories these are normal unanswered question. - eth3l, on 10/12/2007, -6/+10Invadng an innocent country ...
You people just don't get this "war on terror" do you? this war has been going on for 24 years. "If you look back at the elements of the war against terrorism, that war was going on, and has been going on for the past 24 years. We just didn’t connect the dots. 24 years ago, the precursors of Hezbollah blew up the U.S. marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon. That was 1983, 241 Americans killed. In the interim between then and now you had two attacks on the World Trade Center, you had the blowing up of Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia, you had the attempt to blow up the U.S.S. Cole, you had the bombing of the two U.S. embassies in East Africa. This war’s already been going on for 24 years; we were just a little bit slow to recognize it."

Our analysis indicated the biggest problem would be the fact that all the fuel (from the airplane) would dump into the building. There would be a horrendous fire. A lot of people would be killed.” But, he says, “The building structure would still be there.”

“A previous analysis [by WTC building designers], carried out early in 1964, calculated that the towers would handle the impact of a 707 traveling at 600 mph without collapsing”

“However, O’Sullivan consults ‘one of the trade center’s original structural engineers, Les Robertson, on whether the towers would collapse because of a bomb or a collision with a slow-moving airplane.’ He is told there is ‘little likelihood of a collapse no matter how the building was attacked.’”

[Leslie Robertson:] “The twin towers were in fact the first structures outside the military and nuclear industries designed to resist the impact of a jet airplane.”

- mutatron, on 10/12/2007, -8/+11Just because people say ***** doesn't make it true. They made those calculations over 30 years ago. Somebody should just make a computer model and simulate the whole thing to see once and for all what happened.
- Prysorra, on 10/12/2007, -10/+4True...true.
That's why they used *767's* - jbudlives, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7And the titanic was built to be unsinkable........
Even though the buildings were built to resist disasters, they were still built by humans. And humans make mistakes unfortunately.
- kaiser44, on 10/12/2007, -6/+8I will wait for Charlie Sheen to let me know if this is real footage or staged.
- SilverhammerMBA, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16Any organization that relies upon the killing of civilians to further its agenda is a testament to the stunted cultural development of humanity. Sure there are nations like the US that have reached such a level of comfort that people care most about TV and what their clothes look like, but there are still millions of people in the world living in the dark ages. There are still millions of people in the world who care more about political power, religious agendas, or their national identity than they do about the good of the human race.
And I don't understand how some people can watch these videos without flinching. Seeing those planes crash into the towers is such a visceral sight. The people on those planes and in those towers were brutally burned, asphyxiated, or crushed to death -- the future of every single person snuffed out for no good reason -- and you laugh and make jokes.
Think of all of the work and patience that it has taken you to reach the current point in your life. Think about the countless possibilities that await you in the future. Think about losing all of them to someone who doesn't even know your name, and who has killed you because of the country you live in. Laugh at that.- Phyltre, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Some people can laugh at things, including disaster and their own deaths. Some can't. Neither of these groups have "won" anything because of that.
- LeeVal, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5This has been on the BBC 9/11 page videos for years
- FatPhil, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3it was played on CNN how could these clips be rare?
- metalgod79, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4wow, is it just me or is the vid of the second plane hitting the building way more instense, i must have watched that part 15+ times. so surreal...
- eth3l, on 10/12/2007, -7/+6And let's not forget this is not a political war like WWII where it was the US v. Japan. This is the US (no doubt we stand alone) against terrorism and terrorists, more specifically Al Qaeda.
- dukeeeey, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10lol
you are fighting an enemy made at home. Osma bin who ? Thats right, even Bush doesn't care about catching him.
- dukeeeey, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10lol
- manbergur, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5never seen this video anywhere since right after the attacks, online? what? iw ouldnt say thats exactly rare footage
its the most televised and filmed act of terrorism of all time, there are hundreds of similar videos and they are all recorded and easily found on the internets. if you watch more than a minute of 9/11 footage you are sick though, its just too tragic and heartbreaking to live through it again. good to refresh your memory every so often though. remind you of why we are over there, remind you of the history that lead up to it, and remind you why humans are THE worst form of life on this planet. . . i saw that second plane hit live on CNN sitting on the couch with my mom. even 1000 minles away it scarred me for life - Apocalypticae, on 10/12/2007, -8/+0Nothing new here. Rare my ass.
No Digg. - whahaa, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2well it's on digg now.
i guess it's no longer 'rare'. - Cyclophile, on 10/12/2007, -10/+6Funny... Judging by the number of thumbs-down vs up in the lunatic left is out in full force.
- m3rcenary, on 10/12/2007, -7/+7These are not rare videos, they showed them a million times. This is just person making money off of x/xx
Bush would of never gotten reelected if it wouldnt of been for these events. And Guiliani wouldnt even be in the ***** presidential race if it wasnt for this terrorist strike, most of America wouldnt even know who the ***** he is either, he may of been big ***** in NY but to the other 49 states (and maybe exception to the neighboring ones) no one give a rats ass about him. -
