- 2go2, on 06/08/2008, -0/+2Early in the Hurricane Season, Tropical waves come from Africa and affect Costa Rica more often in the Later season. Granted the "rainy season" peaks around September, the real damage done from these Tropical waves comes in the earlier season around June. this is why Quepos was affected. Because Quepos is on the APcific side of Costa Rica and only sees these types of events in the early months of the rainy season in Costa Rica. See the following link to have it explained better.
