Pvt. Johnson Murdered: Army Report Said Suicide!
getcnn.com — The exit wound from the bullet didn ’t quite add up to the weapon that the military claimed was used to take his daughter’s life. Something was amiss about her nose being broken and her lip that was torn seemed strange.

- basye, on 08/07/2008, -0/+20This definitely appears suspicious!
- WiseWeasel, on 08/08/2008, -0/+11I dunno, I've often though of committing suicide by raping myself, slamming my face hard enough to break my nose and tear my lip, shoot myself, and then set myself on fire... Seems like as good a way to off myself as any...
- sbader, on 08/07/2008, -0/+21There have been a lot of articles about this case on digg. And even when Mr. Babyman submitted it, it wouldn't front page. But i'm glad to see more articles trying to build support to help this woman's family find justice.
- rareimagery, on 08/07/2008, -0/+5Can you help spread the word on this and give it a shout. Thanks!
- sbader, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1Seriously!!! 238 diggs and it's still not going to front page!!! DAMNIT!!!!
- Erich100, on 08/07/2008, -0/+22Private LaVena Johnson was murdered. This article doesn't cover the heinousness of her murder, there's much more.
http://digg.com/world_news/Army_Private_Raped_Burn ... - Fangsinmybeard, on 08/07/2008, -0/+20What is wrong with the Army? Are they trying to get disbanded? They must be made to stand down. They are three hairs away from being baboon berserkers.
- GrandmaSheila, on 08/07/2008, -1/+24Nah, she beat herself up, raped herself, shot herself and set herself on fire, it sure sounds like suicide....the outraged parents of the USA need to stand up for their children, flung helpless into the maw of insatiable monsters, with plenty of other monsters to cover up their atrocities. Has anybody had ENOUGH OF THIS YET??????? Who is the Enemy here? It's not "Islamofascist terrorists" attacking us, it's our own homegrown thugs and their psychotic masters!
- MarkEarhart, on 08/08/2008, -0/+20Thank you Grandma Sheila. I couldn't agree more. We can not allow these barbaric crimes to go unpunished. A lawless society is a dead society.
- rareimagery, on 08/08/2008, -0/+9This isn't the first time this story has been up on digg, though not from us, and I guess they always kill it. Thank you for you support on this one.
- dre357, on 08/08/2008, -0/+3Well, I'm finally glad that people are beginning to discuss and engage each other with respect to a very significant issue and story. Maybe, I'm all screwed up, and perhaps we should have blathered and got real cerebral about Hannah Montana and her Daddy Billy Ray Cyrus. Even this digg thing, and the content of it's stories that have become "hits", is quite an amazing anthropological and sociological experiment regarding the utter stupidity of people. It reminds me of the Dave Matthew's song "Ant's Marching".

- sbader, on 08/08/2008, -0/+2I really don't get it either, i've seen this story get soo close to front paging several times and it never does. I guess it doesn't get enough "digg diversity" or some crap like that.
- sbader, on 08/08/2008, -0/+2I wish someone could tell me why 15 different articles about the dark knight or whatever george lucas is doing now, get to the front page over something like this. Anyone?
- truthmatters, on 08/08/2008, -0/+14What's happened to accountability in America? The Commander in Chief has set this precedent. Why wouldn't the Army try to do the same thing? It's insulting how they've tried to label this a suicide. They can't even make up a lie that seems plausible.
- GrandmaSheila, on 08/08/2008, -0/+14Thank you Mark. This brave, beautiful child was offering her life to, as she believed, defend her country, and to be slaughtered like that, a helpless victim of an unspeakable atrocity, only to have the entire command of the army feverishly lying to COVER IT UP, with helpful sandbagging censorship from the Ministry of Propaganda Whores, flattens me with outrage and anguish. What have we become that we look at this horrific murder, and yet only a few out of hundreds of millions give a *****? These ***** need to be exposed 24/7 and dragged to JUSTICE, murderers and all military enablers!! Are we so debased, so desensitized, so calloused ourselves that we ignore this tragic victim of somebody's depraved fantasy to enact their own personal snuff-flick? What the HELL has happened to us, that we stand by in some whacked out fugue state, as they cannibalize our children, and us too?
- angeladtao, on 08/08/2008, -0/+7This crime wasn't committed by a member of the military. There were contractor tents set up close to the military tents. It is my thinking that this crime was committed by one (or a group) of them.
- rareimagery, on 08/08/2008, -0/+7If they refuse to investigate it no one will ever know. I don't believe that members of military did it, but the contractors do fall under the Department of Defense. That makes the entire chain of command guilty.
- GrandmaSheila, on 08/08/2008, -0/+14I don't care who did it, anybody involved in spinning and lying and shielding the rapist/murderers is equally guilty. It's just that simple. WHY are they lying?
- kemp34, on 08/08/2008, -0/+16190 diggs, let it go front page Digg, don't hate!
- rareimagery, on 08/08/2008, -0/+6It's at 223 now and Digg is still not letting it go over. I thought Digg was a news site, I guess I was wrong.
- CoolHandLuke70, on 08/08/2008, -0/+12Get the murdering rapist scum as well as the army for covering it up!!
- MizSwann, on 08/08/2008, -0/+11What a pretty girl she was...barely a woman, and so early (unjustly) she's gone forever.
God damn to hell the beasts that killed her and the monsters that cover the tragic truth. - kcapxis, on 08/08/2008, -0/+2Weird, weird time, man. GrandmaSheila got it right. In the past they'd just pretend that Pvt. Johnson had never existed and shred all of her records. Nowadays they're holding press conferences to tell us that "she beat herself up, raped herself, shot herself and set herself on fire." What's worse is that only one in several hundred thousand of us raise our eyebrows at that anymore.
Somehow we've entered into this bizarre period in America where those who we choose to represent us (and their agents) have continued the legacy of their predecessors by ceaselessly doing incredibly boneheaded things, but in the most absurd possible twist are no longer trying to cover it up with secrecy, but with public and laughable delusions. And what's really insane about it is that We the People keep asking how they're doing such a poor job of hiding their failures instead of demanding that such secrecy and idiocy stop altogether.
Perhaps that's why it's working. One cannot assume accountability when the argument against one must first overcome absurdity. - jodimcmullen, on 08/08/2008, -0/+3They get some of these guys all buzzed up in the military, ask them to do terrible things to foreign people, then wonder why this happens. Shameful!!!
