    Not only troubling is the overall price tag for this program,

    "...a $50 billion dollar cost for five more years of PEPFAR. Last year, the President asked Congress to double its initial $15 billion investment. The liberal leadership nearly tripled it"...,

    but the $2 billion earmark that goes to the Global Fund which supports coercive abortions and sterilization."

    I quote Fesek from the Princess Bride and say *inconceivable.* How can this Congress, with the lowest approval rating in history under the stagnant leadership of Pelosi's stench filled agendas and policies, spend our tax dollars like this when we are being whammied by the home mortgage debacle and the oil/energy crisis to name a few. Inconceivable I tell you!

  • ashfish, on 07/22/2008, -0/+2Do we really want to be taking resources away from people who already don't have enough resources to help fight the AIDS epidemic? And I mean, having to decide if you're going to bring a baby into this world with a good possibility that they may have AIDS, that's just got to be a heart wrenching thought. The cultural and economic situation over there are a lot different than here in regards to protected sex, and just sex in general. I really think that denying them any kind of service isn't going to help them.
