I don't think I would even call D-Day a "mission". It was too big. It was comprised of many discreet missions, most of which were accomplished, some that were not.

        The mission of ousting the Baathist government, Capturing Sadaam and his cronies was accomplished. The mission of creating a stable deomcratic style government is in progress. Is any of that incorrect?

      After the prison was attacked, Canadian troops were used to secure the area and bring back a little stability. I guess you and I have different view points of "Having someones back"

      And too think, I learned all this just from reading the article.
