- PATSCRU, on 10/10/2007, -3/+38WHAT? a museum of plants...that would be like some sort of....BOTANICAL GARDEN or something!!! MADNESS!
but seriously dude, you should get out more....there's a botanical garden in almost every major city. - tehpwnrate, on 10/10/2007, -2/+27Nothing is more fascinating than plants at the botanical garden. I like going every year and taking photos to show to my fellow old women on Sunday tea parties so that we can compare how well the plants have grown that year while eating crumpets and gossiping about the latest young harlot in town.
Oh, and this is Sparta. - Bricks, on 10/10/2007, -3/+27Only worth the price of admission if they add in a sassy singing plant that wants to eat Rick Moranis
- XedLos, on 10/10/2007, -5/+27Come on who isn't growing pot these days
- cerealjynx, on 10/10/2007, -2/+20I can guarantee you that Bush has never smoked weed in his entire life.
Coke tho? Hooyeah. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18"This is a banned plant", "This leaf is illegal", "Putting these seeds in the ground is a criminal offence"
Do people have any ***** idea how insane this sounds? Who the ***** gives our governments the right to outlaw ***** plants and seeds? Who the ***** gives our government the right to actively wipe out an entire plant species. Its ***** up is what it is. ***** conservatives/Republicans need to see what ***** hypocrites they are being, talking about small government and freedom and Gods earth and then criminalising plants that grow in ***** nature. - TheNik, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Nutmeg is poisonous in fairly small quantities. Apparently it gives you monster *****.
- stagl, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10yes, a bit of an insult to call these plants poison, no? damn, i guess anything with psychotropic effects could be considered poisonous then. nutmeg, anyone?
- DjOverEZ, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Time to name is Puffingham Palace.
- noumuon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9clinton was the pothead. his eyes were always red, glazed and squinty. he had a mellow relaxed voice, man. he played the sax... sax, jazz... c'mon. do you really think that was a tobacco cigar he used?
- macbookpromat, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8I'm not, I don't have the time.
- MacEnvy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7That's why Clinton was the man. I think all world leaders (hell, let's include religious leaders too) should have a smoke once in a while, might make the world a better place.
I wonder if Obama tokes ... - fotbr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6fiscally? or physically?
Sure, buying enough pot to die from eating it is probably quite expensive, but it is fiscally possible.
Physically, I'm not too sure of, but then again, I never cared much for any form of drugs. But I'm all for you all enjoying whatever you like. - hollowex, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4You must be twelve.
- ZenMojo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Guess who has the key to that greenhouse....
- pkonink, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Calm down dude, we agree with you, but clam down - hit this joint, lol.
- T8erT0T, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Well, yeah but what is he growing? Cali-Kush, Sour D's, Ak-47, Jack Herrer. What is the Prince gettin' down on?
- Ghoztt, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Ah, the age of Entitlement. Government, big business and their rich friends can do whatever they want. But if you dare do the same you're going to freak'n JAIL! We need a revolution!
- Kurisuku, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Well we know who actually IS smoking weed 'round here!
- saifatlast, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Don't tell me what to do.
- noumuon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3the real problem with datura is that there's such a variance in potency between plants that eating a specific dose once could produce mild experience and consuming the same amount another time will kill you. the "trip" can be pretty messed up, but depending on how hard your resolve is can be quite enjoyable.
- InferiorWang, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3According to DEA district law judge Francis Young in his 1988 ruling:
"At present it is estimated that marijuana's LD-50 is around 1:20,000 or 1:40,000. In layman terms this means that in order to induce death a marijuana smoker would have to consume 20,000 to 40,000 times as much marijuana as is contained in one marijuana cigarette. NIDA-supplied marijuana cigarettes weigh approximately .9 grams. A smoker would theoretically have to consume nearly 1,500 pounds of marijuana within about fifteen minutes to induce a lethal response."

page 57 - lead2thehead, on 10/10/2007, -3/+6There are legitimate medical uses for both of those plants.
- SlipstreamLucas, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3its actaully a really great and rewarding hobby.
i even talk to my plants. - shedtroll, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4SO THAT'S WHY HE'S ALWAYS TALKING TO HIS PLANTS!

- mrurc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2He's growing the leave that cocaine is made from and you are concerned that he has POT plants?
- hobonetweaver, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Someone could choke you to death with hemp fiber.
- pkonink, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I bet it's Trainwreck. Humboldt FTW.
- thumperings, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2what kind of an idiot comment is that? He was in skull and bones, and lived through the 70's you're a moron. Everyone and his brother and his brother's mother's mother smoked pot at least here and there. Rich snot nosers are no exception.
- thumperings, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2why doesn't Digg have a feature where you can actually see who and when someone replied to one of your comments? I doubt i've ever read a reply after a year of heavy commenting.
- SlipstreamLucas, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2in that case i choose death from eating to many 18yr old Sweedish swimsuit models.
- Urusai, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Conservatives are against anything minorities or poor people like, like saggy britches or sex. Zoot suits were outlawed in LA back in the day because Mexicans wore them; same story with marijuana.
- Kaervek, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2This is what leaders do when they really can make their own rules. "War? Nah - let's grow pot!"
- kaskoosek, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooring
- ecidnac, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I'm not really impressed by Prince Charles' version (unless it's just that no one is interested in mentioning any of the plants other than the drugs), but growing a garden entirely made up of poisonous plants like you read about if you search "poison garden" on Google... That could be a neat hobby. Some of them are pretty, too. Iris, foxglove, bleeding heart. Grow me a nice big patch of poison ivy...
- MonarchWastxD, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1What the hell? Cannabis is illegal which is why it is under lock and key - this plant is for study... why do the majority of diggers want to grow ***** pot? It rots your brain - the argument "it's better than alcohol" is null and void.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1More like first quarter ounce imo.
- hobonetweaver, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1NIDA-supplied fatties!
- Phrag, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1You are wrong. There is a tape that was made public where Bush admits to smoking pot. Search for 'Bush, tape, Doug Wead'.
- obliviousfool, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1After the first quarter pound you would probably get very, very sleepy.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Our government has the right to do whatever they want if we let them. We're the ones that elect them.
- treewood, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Welcome to the Garden of Hypocrisy.
- MacEnvy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1He put out a country music/comedy CD two years ago. It was surprisingly good, if you're into dry (and sometimes dark) musical humor. They play it on XM 153 (Canadian comedy channel) from time to time.

- jdepp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I'm pretty sure there's a poison garden in the Cambridge University botanical garden also.
- wassim2k, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1It's medicinal. It's used to keep his ears from growing any larger.
