Police say they've shut down drug operation on South Side

chicagotribune.com — Police conducted 19 undercover crack cocaine buys during a six-month sting that monitored drug sales in a block of West 56th Street between South Elizabeth Street and South Racine Avenue. Police said it was the 47th open-air drug market that has been shut down this year. This one was ran by the Gangster Disciples..
