It's not done by people trying to combat racism, it's done by people trying to bring down Planned Parenthood.

dotlizard, on 04/24/2008, -10/+4ok i'm going to get dugg down like hell, but i have to put this out there. now put yourself in this position: you're a nonprofit organization that is constantly being attacked by the right wing, and the tide of public opinion is not moving in your favor. more and more federal funding is used as a tool to force the teaching of abstinence only, and protesters march outside your offices regularly. it is a given that your donations are down. now, in this position, you receive a phone call from a donor with a totally messed-up view on life, but, he is going to give your organization money which it can then put to good use. do you take the *****'s money, or do you send him packing?

in a perfect world, that answer is "no! we refuse the donation, and any and all donations from individuals whose intentions do not conform to the politically correct worldview". but we live in an imperfect world.

i totally agree that everything about those phone calls is deeply disturbing and ***** up. but i can also see the impracticality of holding nonprofits responsible for the moral and ethical shortcomings of all their donors. and the bottom line is, an *****'s donations do just as much good as a nice person's money.

In addition your reference to the money being "put to good use" would indicate you approve of the mass murder occurring everyday at abortion mills in this country.
  - dotlizard, on 04/24/2008, -5/+2ok look -- the organization in question's stated purpose is to provide assistance that includes abortions and birth control. i did not know we were debating the pros and cons of abortion, that's another argument entirely. what i am addressing here is the fact that this nonprofit organization agreed to accept a donation from someone who played the role of a person who hates black people -- are you suggesting that all nonprofits must screen potential donors to ferret out those whose intentions are bad?
    
    you can say, ok i'll take your money and it'll provide services to black women. and as long as the funds you spend to help black women is over the amount that was given by people wanting only to provide services to black women, then you've fulfilled your end of the bargain by accepting the money. it does not affect your stated mission.
    
    and when it comes right down to it, i'm willing to bet when the phone operator said she'd never had a call like that, it's because there aren't any white supremacists making those kinds of donations. so in this little fantasy world where someone plays make believe white supremacist donor, and in the real world, everyone freaks out. it's not like there is an epidemic of KKK philanthropy out there.

Seems like accepting this kind of donation is in perfect keeping with their founding ideology. While they can't trumpet this philosophy today, it's certainly convenient for them to have like minded doners.

Thankfully, I'm not a racist, I do not hate black people, I detest Planned Parenthood, and I do not want any babies killed no matter what color they are. I'm just doing a thought experiment here --- if I lacked morals then Planned Parenthood would seem to me a very good means to that end. So I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that there were KKK types donating to it.

We cannot, as with any issue, see what the purpose is of a thing, without applying God's word to it. Andrew Carnegie looked great too, but his agenda was wicked. Yes, he gave and gave and gave to churches...libraries etc, but with what strings attached? Even the Christian community is BLIND to this sort of thing. It's time we recognize how subtle and crafty our enemy is.

The agenda is to encourage White women to have less children via nonsense about the population explosion that is actually all non_White (White people have not been at replacement for 40 years), career, feminism and abortion. very few non-Whites have abortions - especially not negroids or mulatto's. I WISH!! For every child they have the Gov. pays them.
