- SuckMyDigg, on 06/22/2008, -0/+29Those poor people. I can't imagine living in a place where the richest countries in the world are at your doorstep with food, water, and shelter, and are begging to provide it, and your own government keeps them out and lets you die.
It's a travesty of government. - shockwavedave, on 06/22/2008, -2/+29They should send John Rambo in.
- ganjaroo, on 06/22/2008, -0/+8I pray that the people of Burma will be free in the future.
- AaronMan24, on 06/22/2008, -0/+8As well as a travesty of humanity.
- queestaesto, on 06/22/2008, -1/+8How many people are missing the point that the rats eat everything in their path? Everything...that means those who are left starving, too weak to escape or protect themselves will be overcome by these rats. Rats are omnivores...opportunistic feeders. The rats have no distinction between the dead boar and dying human. They will eat what they can then move on to the next meal.
- Frostek, on 06/22/2008, -2/+8Eat the rats? High in protein, low in fat...
- ripple123, on 06/22/2008, -1/+7Heres hoping this is the sort of desperation that will lead to a revolt against the Burmese government.
- Rudegar, on 06/22/2008, -1/+7i'm good with rats got oblivion rep to show for it!
they taste a bit like chicken :) - Quickdood, on 06/22/2008, -2/+6These little bastards can get out of hand. An X/X creature where X represents the amount of Plague Rats in the game. Unstoppable in large quantities.
- graemee, on 06/22/2008, -0/+4Zerg rush
- adragontattoo, on 06/22/2008, -2/+6flood? check

- arpad, on 06/22/2008, -2/+5They'll have to put up with the rats for another two months. The Democratic National Convention doesn't start until August 25.
- inactive, on 06/22/2008, -1/+4Who do you think sent the rats scurrying.
- candyman682, on 06/22/2008, -0/+3My soul hurts

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LMxhc8WwGU - perogi21, on 06/22/2008, -1/+3Even longer, the Republican National Convention doesn't start until Sept 1st...
- TheAkolyte, on 06/22/2008, -1/+3God! those carrion black pits of sawed, picked bones and opened skulls! Those nightmare chasms choked with the pithecanthropoid, Celtic, Roman, and English bones of countless unhallowed centuries!
- inactive, on 06/22/2008, -0/+2The Rich shall employ the strong to murder and enslave the weak while driving prices even higher to make the weak weaker and the need for income and employment stronger.
- MustangMatt, on 06/22/2008, -1/+3I feel sorry for those people.
It sucks to have people that want to help but your own idiotic government won't allow them too.
When the whole country there could be healthy and living a actual life instead of ONLY working to get beat down on.
Hope they get some help, I feel sorry for them.
God bless. :( - NEWNHLISLAME, on 06/22/2008, -0/+2Wow i cant believe people make light of such an incident. This is a Genocide, and all you can talk about is how many rats are there to eat. They were refused the ability to live, Every Civilized nation should have been at the doorstep and kicked the Door in to at least provide the Basics.
Sadly Obese Westerners will do nothing as long as there is still food delivery. - zoltan3887, on 06/22/2008, -0/+2damn Relentless Rats....there can be any number of them....no limit.
- Onoes, on 06/22/2008, -2/+4where the hell do they go for 50 years...

- inactive, on 06/22/2008, -0/+2Yes, Shell owns it.
- spawnfree, on 06/22/2008, -1/+2well i hope these soon-to-be-starving people work out how to catch/dry out/smoke all the rats they can.
or keep them in a big pit and throw their oppressors in too.
im so glad i live in the west, i wouldnt survive ten minutes over there. - inactive, on 06/22/2008, -0/+1The Burmese people made that government and continue to support it in numbers so that it continues to this day. What it would take for them to get off of their asses and put a stop to it. What will it take? What percentage actually enjoys the current government? Is it 50% or 75%?
- inactive, on 06/22/2008, -0/+1In the 50's it was a shave and after shave in the US.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burma-Shave - PabloMac, on 06/22/2008, -0/+1Cats and pellet rifles.
- inactive, on 06/22/2008, -1/+2Article said they do.
- nodong, on 06/22/2008, -1/+2I think you misheard. It was, "The strong should enslave the weak."
- ichbeineinrcg, on 06/22/2008, -0/+1Love that movie.
- Thrilltone, on 06/22/2008, -1/+2I know a Burmese girl
http://trueartnow.com/2/hurt6.htm

- inactive, on 06/22/2008, -0/+1Huh? A revolt against the Burmese government led to this desperation.

It was on the news for about half a day two months ago. - SickofSects, on 06/22/2008, -0/+1Yeah, let them eat cake, if they don't have bread.
- Notsafetoeat, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1Kekeke
- quaxon, on 06/22/2008, -0/+1No, no, no, dont you get it? when christians say they will pray for something or someone its their way to cop out of doing something that would actually help while at the same time making others think they actually care. In reality they dont do ***** but talk to themselves.
- edebolt, on 06/22/2008, -0/+1There is oil there and lots of it.. A longtime ago Chevron tried to get things going but the govt corruption was too much. Chinese and Malaysian petro companies are firmly in control in Myanmar.
- tomtuts, on 06/22/2008, -0/+1I'm from the Fighter's Guild; I understand you have a bit of a rat problem. It's always rats for the new initiates...
- repins, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1Where is China? They seemed to be right there to help out and keep the rest of the world out when the police where beating those monks.....it is time China stepped up
- braditude101, on 06/22/2008, -0/+1i was hoping i wasnt the only one who thought of Oblivion...
- swaters210, on 06/22/2008, -0/+1This can't be good at all. I'm not worried about the rats causing starvation or the potential diseases they might bring with them, but the snake infestation that is probably resulting from the plague of rats. I hear that venomous snakes, like the king cobra, are attracted to places with rodent problems such as these villages.
- ichbeineinrcg, on 06/22/2008, -0/+1If rat hordes
put you in a grave
You'll smell good dead
wearing Burma Shave - inactive, on 06/22/2008, -0/+1When the roof blown off your house and all 200 around you in a place where such a thing has never happened you will understand what global warming means...
- edebolt, on 06/22/2008, -0/+1richest countries near Myanmar? Lets see Myanmar borders
Thailand - where I live and per capita GDP is about $4000 per year... very poor.
Laos -- super poor communist country
Bangladesh --- Very poor and very corrupt, polluted
China - Still very poor with a per capita GDP of under $5000 per year and hundreds of millions living on less than $2 a day.
No western country is going to try to invade Myanmar and establish a democracy because communist China would fight it like a cancer. -
