Photographer prosecuted-refused to photograph lesbian weddin
freerepublic.com — ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — As a Christian, Elaine Huguenin is against efforts to legitimize same-sex “marriage.” So, when the Albuquerque photographer was asked via e-mail in September 2006 to photograph a “commitment ceremony” for two women, Huguenin declined. That was the end of the matter, she thought.

- Himself, on 03/13/2008, -1/+9You're only allowed to decide what's true for you if you're not Christian. While imposing your morality on others is wrong, which is what laws do, its complete acceptable to demand others not govern their own behavior by God given morality. This itself is not an imposition but a demand for fairness
- Himself, on 03/13/2008, -0/+6* its complete == it's completely
- socialismEVIL, on 03/13/2008, -0/+3hehe awesome!
- AntiHegelian, on 03/13/2008, -2/+9Himself, I'm assuming you meant that it's UNacceptable to demand that others disregard their religious convictions...I think you left out an 'un'. Surely you're not saying Christians must disregard their religious beliefs to appease others.
- Himself, on 03/13/2008, -0/+9Yes. I was being facetious.
- AntiHegelian, on 03/13/2008, -0/+5I just re-read your initial statement, and I see the hypocrisy you were obviously pointing out. All I can say is...it was too doggone late for me to be reading posts. LOL
- Look4Truth, on 03/13/2008, -1/+10"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!" - 2 Timothy 3:1-5
We will all have to stand before a Holy God one day whether you believe that or not so you better think twice about how you live your life. There will be grave consequences to those that disobey Him and live a sinful life.
Choose wisely... - animalwheeler, on 03/13/2008, -0/+8So whatever happened to " We reserve the right to refuse service...". this person was looking to HIRE the photographer, not get employed by her. Why would it even come into consideration that anti-discrimination covers services not to be provided?
So are they going to sue the bank when they are refused a checking account? Or sue the restaurant because they didn't want to "make it your way"? Seriously, when does it end. Other people DO NOT HAVE TO agree with you. PERIOD!!
I always love the point that GLBT's expect others to compromise their own morals/beliefs/opinions to accommodate GLBT's beliefs; but ask GLBT's to allow others to have a opinion opposite of the GLBT stance, and no, absolutely not, they cannot compromise what GLBT's believe as right. Hypocritical.- Antarcticn, on 03/13/2008, -0/+4CAUTION: You speak HATE SPEECH. Them's fightin' werds to the Cult of Queerdom.
- Antarcticn, on 03/13/2008, -0/+4We the Normal People are forbidden to even passively oppose perversity. Perverts now have unjust "laws" to enforce it.
- iucraigmc, on 03/13/2008, -0/+4"That religion, or the duty we owe to our Creator, and the manner of discharging it, can be directed only by reason and conviction, not by force or violence; and therefore all men are equally entitled to the free exercise of religion, according to the dictates of conscience."
