- FlaG8r, on 07/23/2009, -12/+577The fact that O’Reilly's viewers don't raise hell in defense of this American serviceman shows how artificial their patriotism really is.
- AgeofMastery, on 07/23/2009, -11/+395Why does Fox hate our troops?
- Rotzooi, on 07/23/2009, -21/+337Fox News was the government's mouthpiece for 8 years, now they are a bunch of fools trying to stay relevant in a changing world.
- Diefree, on 07/23/2009, -7/+281Ralph Peters is a disgrace to the uniform of the USA. As I man joining the Navy I am ashamed this coward is seen as a brother in arms with me. He deserves to have his commission revoked. O'Reily deserves to be fired as well and be forced to look this young man's family in the eyes after saying these lies.
- drinkthepill, on 07/23/2009, -9/+257FOX, you unpatriotic, un-american bastards! Why do you hate America, the troops, and love terrorists?
- ConfusedCartman, on 07/24/2009, -2/+182"I support the troops...until Fox News says otherwise!"
Doesn't have quite the same ring to it, does it? - MiddleAmericaMS, on 02/02/2010, -10/+189Peters Continues Attack On Captured U.S. Soldier: He’s A Liar And ‘A Deserter’ Who ‘Shamed His Unit’
http://thinkprogress.org/2009/07/22/peters-missing ... - AndrewDB, on 07/24/2009, -0/+145Fox doesn't hate our troops.
Fox hates America. - charm803, on 07/24/2009, -5/+128Wait, I'm confused.
Do they hate the war but support our troops
or
do they like the war and hate the troops?
And how close is this to being treason? - skertso, on 07/24/2009, -4/+119Fox...even more shameful that usual!
- ChristPissed, on 07/23/2009, -4/+114This quote should be broadcast on every network & every radio station, every day, until the chickenhawk Peters fully apologizes and/or is tossed into prison . . .“If this insolent wicked little man named Peters at FOX manages to turn people against this American who volunteered to serve in the military, fully aware that almost anyone in the Army can be deployed overseas, he should be arrested and tossed in prison,” “When does FOX News cross the line? This is a new age, a new time, and there is no way in Hell that Peters or FOX can cry ‘free speech’ now.”
- EstradaAdrian, on 02/18/2010, -6/+101***** FOX NEWS
- inactive, on 07/23/2009, -4/+96Even *if* the soldier is a deserter, he deserves his time in a court of justice. Also, while the death penalty for desertion is still on the books, it has been used *once* since the Civil War. Eddie Slovik was executed in 1945, and was given multiple opportunites to withdraw his intention to desert.
The harshest penalty since then was 18 months imprisionment. - Konrad9, on 07/24/2009, -1/+87I can't wait to see this on the Daily Show.
- insomniacal, on 07/24/2009, -2/+87I'm having a hard time understanding how any American could say anything so stupid and heartless. I believe in free speech, but shouldn't there be a criminal charge for publicly inciting an enemy to kill one of our soldiers?
- bobdiablo, on 07/24/2009, -2/+77My god he is a ***** kid, even if he "***** up". He deserves to live. Most importantly he is an American. We take care of our own right?
Is Rupert Murdoch an American? - robbdammit, on 07/24/2009, -3/+77And in other news, Ralph Peters goes missing and nobody cares. Full story at 11.
- Pyehole, on 07/24/2009, -4/+71Of course they are furious, that man is a United States Soldier. Calling for him to be killed was at best beyond the pale, at worst it borders on treason.
- charm803, on 07/24/2009, -1/+67Because they are calling for the murder of an AMERICAN TROOP, and this is coming from the PRO-WAR Fox News.
- ebcreasoner, on 07/24/2009, -2/+61Even if he was a liar or a deserter, hell even a traitor, that's ***** up. Ralph Peters and Fox News can suck on a samarai on a toilet!
- OneRottenTomato, on 07/24/2009, -0/+58I watched another video where Peters suggests to the Taliban to go ahead and execute him just so the US won't have to go through the process of a lengthy and costly trial to make sure if this soldier did or did not in fact desert his post. Peters has already assigned himself judge, jury, and, the taliban, excutioner.
Nauseating. - ian7208, on 07/24/2009, -3/+58Peters’ and O’Reilly’s insidious comments drew a sharp reaction from a bipartisan group of 22 veteran members of Congress, who all signed a letter demanding Fox News CEO Roger Ailes apologize to Bergdahl’s family for allowing a guest on his network to provide “aid and comfort” to America’s enemies.
Aid and Comfort --- That's Treason. - SmokenJoe, on 07/24/2009, -5/+58Another day another Conservative turning their back on American values.
I know they are not all this bad but the conservative need to really call these people out too. They are letting this happen by not speaking up for what is right. - charm803, on 07/24/2009, -0/+52"The Constitution of the United States, Art. III, defines treason against the United States to consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid or comfort. "
I would say Americans telling our "enemies" to kill our own is adhering to our enemies. - xDynaBlade, on 07/24/2009, -3/+50Just when everybody thought they couldn't sink any lower- they did.
- LucasKane, on 07/24/2009, -1/+48O Reily was agreeing with him you nut
- fiatjustitia, on 07/24/2009, -2/+48I"m speechless. They're only getting worse, and I thought I'd seen and heard it all.
- ASSASSYN360, on 07/24/2009, -5/+50Fox needs to be shut the ***** down. They are a joke.
- HellaHelgi, on 07/24/2009, -3/+47Not everyone in America is intelligent. For them, we have Fox News. Loving America when it is Republican controlled, hating it when Democrat controlled.
- dvsbastard, on 07/24/2009, -6/+50"Stupider... Like a FOX!"
- demonicaardvark, on 07/24/2009, -0/+42"You people are idiots to believe this guy works for Fox."
Except for the fact that he does work for fox. Maybe you should do a little more than 30 seconds of fact checking before calling everyone idiots. - Recoil, on 07/24/2009, -0/+42Somebody needs to fire that guy's ass. I wonder if he'd still be saying the same thing if that was his own son on that tape.
- techweenie, on 07/24/2009, -3/+43Ralph Peters' statement will be a good tool for the Taliban to use on their prisoner.
He is aiding and abetting an enemy. Where else would he be but Fox? - Daerion, on 07/24/2009, -0/+40You are disgusting.
- demonicaardvark, on 07/24/2009, -1/+41LOL @ he isn't on their payroll. The guy's employer is listed as fox news and his position at the company is "Fox News military analyst"
Also I never said he was republican nor do I care what political party he belongs do. I don't know why you keep bringing that up. - inactive, on 07/24/2009, -7/+45Can you please stop putting spaces before and after your comments? Personally I find it's annoying.
- HellaHelgi, on 07/24/2009, -2/+38They want to secede from the union, they hate our troops, they are the party of no, they want our president to fail, I wonder if they realize that they've turned into everything that they've hated.
- BigBalledOX, on 07/24/2009, -1/+36Please be a tipping point please be a tipping point please be a tipping point
- demonicaardvark, on 07/24/2009, -1/+35Just the fact that his position at fox news is "fox news military analyst" means that he works for fox news. And he's paid too, news analyst isn't the type of position that is done for charity.
- sugarazor, on 07/24/2009, -2/+36There is a HUUUUUUUUUUUGE difference between FOX and MSNBC.
And Jon Stewart is a comedian, he's supposed to be funny... unlike Fox which is funny for all the wrong reasons. - Paranor01, on 07/24/2009, -0/+33you must be an idiot now
- jmontes, on 07/24/2009, -2/+34Disgusting.
- ImOnYourTeam, on 07/24/2009, -1/+33Wow FOX News. You guys are finally radically enough to piss off the Department of Defense.
- rabidjester, on 07/24/2009, -0/+32Australian I think.
- jessemoya, on 07/24/2009, -5/+37Nice work, guys. Way to support our troops.
- fragMasterFlash, on 07/24/2009, -5/+37Time for a fox hunt. RELEASE THE HOUNDS!
- fury420, on 07/24/2009, -0/+31this guy represents "the left"? seriously?
I know when your a hardcore right-wing extremist by definition everything else is to the left, but honestly? nowhere on earth would he be considered part of "the left" side of the political spectrum - vidar808, on 07/24/2009, -0/+31"Fox hates America" If we keep saying it maybe the slow ones will finally catch on.
Spread the truth. - PhilMoskowitz, on 07/24/2009, -8/+38This is how murdoch wants the media to operate. If a smear campaign will save the state from bad press or a hassle of any kind, it's justified.
Welcome to your Orwellian future that will be 99% reality free. - BillDoor, on 07/24/2009, -1/+31Calling for the execution of one of your own troops by the enemy is not bias. It's treason. If this was WWII Fox News would be shut down immediately and O'Reilly and Co. would be sent off to internment camps for the duration.
