- carterartist, on 08/06/2008, -1/+17With these kinds of actions, the US is going to have a very difficult time when we talk about "foreign" oppressive governments. The truth is, this along with most of the Bush Regime's actions over the past 8 years are exactly similiar to actions taken by Castro, Kim Jung, Stalin, etc... When we forsake the liberties that us soldiers risked our lives, or died for just to present a false sense of security, well.. .it makes it kind of worthless.
- Smoove, on 08/06/2008, -0/+10Yup, that thar's a dangerous cabbie, that is! Don't tell anyone, but they have Osama's milkman and cleaning lady at Gitmo too.

- nichesiteexpert, on 08/06/2008, -0/+10I am - sadly - reminded of Rob Cordry's character in 'Harold & Kumar escape from Guantanamo Bay'.
Especially the part where he wipes his ass with the Bill of Rights.
Folks, that's exactly what is happening right now in our government, except it's not fiction. We really are being led by a bunch of idiot goons with no regard for our Constitution or the principles that this country was founded upon.
I mean, as an American, doesn't ***** like this severely piss you off?
It's a sad, sad day when our own leaders have become more anti-American than the terrorists they are supposed to defend us from.- thefarouk, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1No no no, not idiots... they truly believe they have to destroy enough freedom to ensure security (queue famous Ben Franklin quote...)
