- cozmos, on 10/12/2007, -11/+49It's official!!! The democrats are officially DHIMMI's!!! AKA Second class citizens around the world. Wearing the Hijab proves your submissiveness... I wonder if they will even shake her hand,
- Novalaw, on 10/12/2007, -6/+43I hate to say it, but a hijab looks quite appropriate for Ms. Pelosi. She wants to be a good dhimmi, after all.
- Nighttime, on 10/12/2007, -9/+46@modizzle I'm a digg member and I like the posts from lgf, malkin etc. If asshats like you had your way digg would be wall to wall bush bashing. If you don't like em....don't read em. In the future you might want to speak for yourself, you are not digg.

When Muslim women come in the US, do they wear bikinis? In deference to OUR cultural sensitivities? - kevinmumaw, on 10/12/2007, -6/+37The hijab highlights the deer-in-the-headlights look she is famous for.
- kaiser44, on 10/12/2007, -7/+37Attention to all Americans and freedom loving people everywhere.
This picture speaks a thousand words to anyone who thinks that the Democrats have any credibility on thew war on terror or that they have sense of what it is about.
The democrats have done nothing but undermine this country at every step of the way.
This person is a embarrassment.
I hope that she personally has to pay a price for the road she is trying to take this country down.
I feel nothing but contempt and revulsion at her and any person who believes as she does.
I am not fond of most Republicans , but the democrats are the most pathetic, and ill prepared to lead this country in any direction other than to it's utter destruction.
They are truly going to be the party that enables are enemies to destroy our civilization , unless they are defeated in the next election.
Shame on her and her family and her political party.
I am truly saddened by her and her ideology, Democrats have to be stopped. - Dewhead, on 10/12/2007, -6/+35How about a full burka?
- Dewhead, on 10/12/2007, -6/+35The republicans who went are just as bad as she is. I am more upset at her because her agenda is all about undermining the President. Does anyone really believe that she is over there to help Bush or America? Hell no. She is an evil person.
- 0star, on 10/12/2007, -6/+34"uggh LGF plz go away"
That seems to be the left's solution to everything that disturbs them.
If we are nice to the Islamic terrorists, they will go away.
If we give North Korea what they want, the problem will go away.
If we let Iran have a nuclear bomb, the war they have been fighting against us for 30 years will go away.
And they call themselves "reality-based".
It would be funny if it weren't sad - and deadly dangerous. - 17thABN, on 10/12/2007, -8/+35All hail QUEEN DHIMMI !!! This is truly the stupidest pile of garbage to ever walk the halls of congress. A complete waist of oxygen. They same goes for the garbage that votes for garbage
- appleann1, on 10/12/2007, -5/+32stevebee, the answer, of course is no. Just as we don't make the prisoners in Gitmo wear crosses or the Star of David as opposed to the female British soldier made to cover her head.
tinman, Bush rightly criticized Pelosi because she is in a leadership position, the sheep wouldn't have followed if she hadn't led.
I think the Republicans that went are also a disgrace. But if you check out who they are, it's not surprising. - SnowWolf102001, on 10/12/2007, -7/+33Would look much better in a Burqua
- Nijenna, on 10/12/2007, -5/+30AND what is the point of her wearing a scarf?
By showing respect to THESE kind of MEN is Pelosi saying she understands she is nothing but a piece of meat to these backward assed caveMEN, and is just protecting them from losing their sexual control if they saw her HAIR uncovered?
She IS pathetic and so are ANY other WESTERN women who bows and submits to these religious freaks or any other religion that makes a women COVER her hair out of FEAR of inflaming a man's LUST. - kevinmumaw, on 10/12/2007, -7/+31She looks quite subservient.
- onyxraven1979, on 10/12/2007, -7/+30That'll show 'em we mean business!!
Women must be so proud of her, showing how subservient she is. - DaMav, on 10/12/2007, -5/+28The perfect symbol of the new Dhimmicrat Party.

- ssamyrabka, on 10/12/2007, -6/+25Hey GEORGE W BUSH should have Pelosi wear the Hajib in his presence, and I'd have Hillary wear the whole Burqa Veil Face Covering, with Dark Sunglasses bit....(See Detroit Islamists suing District Judge Photo for reference)
- rasterbator, on 10/12/2007, -3/+22I like the caption of the photo of the tomb that houses the head of John the Baptist. DId they take her to the tomb that houses a few heads of murdered American hostages?

- ssamyrabka, on 10/12/2007, -5/+20Gosh.... Well spoken! Strongly agree.... your passions are so strongly worded, I wonder if you were ever FORCED to wear one of these backassward HAIR COVERING, so as not to inflame a man's lust?

- radishthegreat, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15I can't imagine anyone becoming inflamed with lust at the sight of Nancy.
- araminta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Why ruin a perfectly good point about head coverings with accusations of bible belt trash and infidelity? All you manged to do was get yourself dugg down instead of perhaps making a point. I don't happen to believe that is why she wore the scarf. I believe she wore it for the reason others have listed. To be 'courteous' to a country that would see her beheaded before letting her serve in the capacity she does in this country. But whatever, that's her choice.
- NoamSayin, on 10/12/2007, -4/+15Abu Abass, Abu Nidal, Abdul Rahman Yasin.
Why don't you go google these terrorists and see what they have in common? - rasterbator, on 10/12/2007, -7/+17This picture makes her appear to be smoking a doobee, something she hasn't done in at least five years.

http://www.damaverick.com/pelosifonda.jpg - BenZacharia, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11I hope she would wear a scarf when she goes to a Shul too. This is a non-starter, except for the reason she is there in the first place, ie same as jane goes to Hanoi.
- jackman0654, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13Pelosi looks like doodoo on a stick.
- elisa72, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10I find the hijab offensive. I respect the right of women to voluntarily wear it, but, as a non-Muslim, I would never wear a garment that so often is worn under coercion as a symbol of subjugation. I also will not wear any symbol of any religion other than my own. If I were in Pelosi's shoes I would decline to visit the mosque if it required wearing a hijab to avoid offense. If my hosts couldn't manage to respect MY beliefs in that regard it would be very telling.
- jkenda, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11Third in line to the US presidency is willing to wear the hijab. Never mind what we think about this-did anyone stop to think about the propaganda use this picture will be used for?
- Glynth, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10"starting wars with people who had nothing to do with 9-11"
That line needs to die. Who said Saddam had anything to do with 9/11? Pres. Bush repeatedly said otherwise, yet liberals keep pretending otherwise so they can support their "Bush lied" mantra. Get That Through Your Head. (I realize you may not be the typical Leftist, but you've bought at LEAST that line and need to give it up already.) And also know this: It may come as a surprise to you, but not all tyrannical organizations that deserve to be toppled had a direct hand in 9/11. Notice how it's the war against TERROR? Also notice that Saddam directly funded SUICIDE BOMBERS in Palestine? Or are you going to dispute that even though it's extremely well established (by nonpartisans, no less)? - DaMav, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8So yer sayin the Pope is like... John Edwards, Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, Al Gore... and all the rest of the lefties who claim to speak on behalf of the poor while flaunting great personal wealth. Except in the Pope's case, the wealth isn't personal. Oh, and his admonition is for people to VOLUNTARILY give up their riches. The liberals want to use state power to forcibly seize our money. That's two big differences right there.
You sound like a communist burning in self righteous furor. And naming yourself after a bun too... (shakes head) - DaMav, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10Laura Bush didn't go to Syria and put on a hijab to show submission before one of the world's terrorist leaders. If you can't see the difference between that and what Pelosi did, you must be one of the Nancy Boys in the Democrat Party.
- ladycatnip, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10jkenda,
Actually, this pic could go for miles in the upcoming election.
I find it offensive for an elected rep to be wearing an islamic hijab. This picture marks the death of feminism; I'm sure Pelosi championed women's rights 30-40 years ago but now willingly wears the garb of the most oppressed women in the world. Unbelievable. - Glynth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6UPDATE:

http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=25014 - Equalizer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Yet another digbat blocked...sweeeeeeet
- WildcatClan, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9I just don't think there is any danger of Nan inflaming anyones lust in Syria. So she can retire her scarf without fear as long as there is at least one reasonably attractive goat in the vicinity.
- robdouth, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7I keep reading from lefties about the Republicans that went to Syria as well. Of course they should be condemned, but can you even name them off the top of your head without looking them up? Didn't think so. They are nobodies who were trying to get a little publicity by going against the party line. However, they aren't in important leadership roles. They should be condemned of course, but they have no authority, whereas Pelosi gives the illusion of authority and therefore is much more problematic compared to a handful of small-time Republicans.
- Glynth, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9You expect us to NOT digg down this incendiary comment? Many of us are not Republicans, but someone who'd digg this hateful bile up is not someone worth listening to.
" See?! OMG! They buried the person who said 'F YOU AND ALL YOUR CHILDREN!' " Wow, what a surprise. Vulgar bile not worth reading, whether the guy calls himself conservative or not.
I appreciate the sentiment - I won't follow the Republican politicians off the cliff they seem so eager to go to (though the Democrats are racing even faster toward it) - but "F you" is just wrong... and "F your offspring?" Something's wrong with you, Kaiser. - Glynth, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Pelosi wearing the hijab isn't the real issue. You'll notice - well, I guess you won't - anyway... I did not digg up the hijab-gabbers above this post. That's not the real issue. THIS is:
