      I find it offensive for an elected rep to be wearing an islamic hijab. This picture marks the death of feminism; I'm sure Pelosi championed women's rights 30-40 years ago but now willingly wears the garb of the most oppressed women in the world. Unbelievable.

I respect the right of women to voluntarily wear it, but, as a non-Muslim, I would never wear a garment that so often is worn under coercion as a symbol of subjugation. I also will not wear any symbol of any religion other than my own. If I were in Pelosi's shoes I would decline to visit the mosque if it required wearing a hijab to avoid offense. If my hosts couldn't manage to respect MY beliefs in that regard it would be very telling.

The rest of the school week, I wore a uniform. Nancy Pelosi, having also been raised an Italian Catholic, I'm sure feels very comfortable with her head covered. It would behoove the Bible Belt trash in America to obtain some morals. We know you are undereducated and underpaid but that's no reason to have an affair with your neighbor's spouse for entertainment -- just because your Pastor also does so.

    I beliieve the politicians you refer to are shameless and vapid and would not defend them or the actions they take in any way, I believe these people are hypocritical in there public and personal lives as well.
    I believe the Catholic church is corrupt and I also believe they use some of the same sad tactics that democrats use to get what they want.
