- okayokayokay, on 10/13/2008, -7/+133FTA: Palin appeared flustered as she stopped reading from the prepared remarks, which were coming across her teleprompter.
“I would hope at least that those protesters have the courage and the honor of thanking our veterans for giving them the right to protest!” she admonished the confused crowd.
Palin’s husband Todd tried to put an end to the awkward episode by approaching his wife on stage and telling her, “They just can’t hear you back there. That’s it.”- ssn697, on 10/13/2008, -2/+254Uh, when did the military give us the RIGHT to protest? They make help PROTECT our rights, but they don't GIVE us any rights.
- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -4/+51Well, obviously the radical religious wing of the republican party doesn't believe that the constitution gives us those rights. They think the only way we can have those rights is to send people to fight and die in third world countries that do not have any capability to actually invade or destroy our nation. Especially if those evildoers are not christians, or white.
- slyzxx, on 10/14/2008, -19/+2You obviously never heard of the 60`s huh >?
- shampoozleberry, on 10/14/2008, -4/+11Wow, 48+ diggs and counting without a grammar correction. Way to go digg, you've finally grown up.
Oh, and I dugg you too. - FasterGun, on 10/14/2008, -1/+22She can't speak intelligently or rationally without a memorized talking point, doncha' know?
- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -1/+18FasterGun,
That's why her ticket is polling well with the people with less than a high school education, and polling lower with people with college degrees or advanced degrees. - orlyfactor, on 10/14/2008, -3/+9@PhilLesh69: Unfortunately the dummies outnumber the smarty pants :(
- Suzilla, on 10/14/2008, -0/+5You actually expect Palin to be familiar with the US Constitution?
I'm not just being snide, here. She can't even name one friggin' newspaper that she's read. I'll bet she's not read the Constitution once, nor can she quote so much as a single ammendment from the Bill of Rights. - YogiWanKenobi, on 10/14/2008, -1/+4Well you see, our rights come from Jesus, through the President, and then the military for distribution.
- Suzilla, on 10/14/2008, -0/+5@Yogi
What's distressing about your remark is that it is bang-on what she believes. - acumenprobitas, on 10/14/2008, -5/+3I don't love Palin or anything, but you are nitpicking. I doubt she took the time to consider her choice of words, or to contemplate the difference between "giving" rights and "protecting" rights.
If our rights were not protected, it would be as if we did not have them, so I think that "give" is an okay choice of words, not an indication that the constitution is meaningless to her. For that argument, look to legislation and policies she supports, not a meaningless poor word choice. - MikeSD34, on 10/14/2008, -1/+1"Well, obviously the radical religious wing of the republican party doesn't believe that the constitution gives us those rights."
I would just like to note that the constitution doesn't give us those rights. The bill of rights doesn't even give us those rights. The bill of rights enumerates our "god given" unalienable rights which we as human beings are born with. It's merely there to serve as a reminder, and in doing so protect our rights. Very similarly to those who fight and die for this country as soldiers, protesters, martyrs, senators, congressman, presidents, law makers, and most of all as citizens. - PhilLesh69, on 10/15/2008, -1/+1MikeSD34, you're right, but those "inalienable rights" are given to us from an entity we cannot prove or disprove the existence of. Therefore, those rights were created by people using their understanding of what natural rights should be, and then enumerated in the constitution.
- tutfire, on 10/14/2008, -5/+41Good at handling stress? Check.
- flapanthers87, on 10/14/2008, -1/+23Thank you very much George W, because I don't know where I'd be without all our veterans giving me the freedom to say what I want whenever I want.
Oh wait, probably still getting tasered for that joint in my left hand.- Toddd, on 10/14/2008, -1/+7He's got a joint! Tase him!!
- mattcarreiro, on 10/14/2008, -1/+4dont tase me bro
- megamod, on 10/14/2008, -16/+4defa vu. I'm under the impression I just read this somewhere.
DAMN I have the memory of a goldfish. Where did I read it from...I just can't quite put my finger on it.- elizabethb221, on 10/14/2008, -2/+7...what?
- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -2/+14why are you trying to put your finger on anything? Obama's a terrorist, and Bush just spent the last 8 years building our economy into the only shining light surrounded by economic failure and countries with lowered standards of living. Plus, McCain was a POW.
Don't waste our time with all that logic, or facts, or reality *****. - Christifer, on 10/14/2008, -0/+5That last one really worried me there for a second 'till I got to that last sentence. Phew!
- DarthKozy, on 10/14/2008, -0/+5since no one else has said it yet - "defa vu"???
missed by an entire index finger - danielsamuels, on 10/14/2008, -0/+7@DarthKozy: He couldn't quite put his finger on it.
- fuxxx, on 10/14/2008, -1/+31Let's assume for a moment that those were actually protesters she was talking to.
For one, she was inhibiting their 'right to protest'
Secondly, how exactly did the veterans (whatever that means) establish your right to protest?
Thirdly, since when did the Republican party become charged with protecting the honour of veterans? Just because they like to wage wars and create veterans doesn't mean that they can claim a monopoly on veterans issues
I know that Americans are probably used to the Republican party claiming a monopoly on all things patriotic, but you really can't let them do that! I'm offended and I have nothing to do with your country!- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -1/+11She wasn't inhibiting their right to protest. In fact, she was trying to appear funny without being combative. It's just that she displayed a complete lack of situational awareness, and a willingness to resort to demagoguery.
Veterans did not establish our right to free speech, or to protest. That was done in our constitution.
Obviously Republicans have never protected the honor of veterans, or at least they've never been to concerned about their welfare. But a lot of Americans are either too busy trying to make ends meet or are too stupid or distracted to figure out that just because you love to send the troops off to fight for "national security" doesn't make you a champion of veteran welfare and honor. They just assume one has to follow the other, without thinking it all the way through.
There were other countries in history that labeled themselves as patriotic and labeled anyone else as unpatriotic. Often large groups of people ended up being deported or put into camps. But this time, it won't happen, because of "American Exceptionalism" or some other divine hand of god or something, whatever, I can't stoop down to that level of logic, but that's how they think. - heystoopid, on 10/14/2008, -0/+5Obviously those big crowds she used to talk to in her Alaskan Campaign for Mayor of Wasilla were a bunch of an even dozen or so of blind drunk local rednecks sleeping it off on the bar floor whilst she was talking to them in political double speak , and then helped them to the polling booth to put their "X" in the right spot on polling day .
Lol.
- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -1/+11She wasn't inhibiting their right to protest. In fact, she was trying to appear funny without being combative. It's just that she displayed a complete lack of situational awareness, and a willingness to resort to demagoguery.
- willskillz, on 10/14/2008, -9/+3McCain / **** '08 :P
- rudeboyskunk, on 10/14/2008, -0/+3i don't get it
- morcheeba, on 10/14/2008, -1/+21Doesn't she realize that people from her own party shouted down protesting iraq Vets at the the GOP nomination party?
- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -2/+24That happened more than 3 days ago.
Why are you trying to remember things and know facts and talk all ***** up like a fag? - entropy71, on 10/14/2008, -0/+18@Phil: I'm hoping that was a reference to Idiocracy, in which case I approve! :)
- KaseyCarbone, on 10/14/2008, -0/+12My first wife was 'tarded. She's a pilot now.
- wonderbriefs, on 10/14/2008, -1/+9Brawdo's got what plants crave.
- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -1/+8Yes. it was.
"I don't want to sound like a dick or nothing, but you talk like a fag, and your *****'s all retarded."
:0 - PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -0/+3KaseyCarbone,
Don't worry scrote. There are plenty of 'tards out there living really kick ass lives. My first wife was 'tarded. She's a pilot now.
;) - Christifer, on 10/14/2008, -0/+5'Course she didn't know. I don't think she's really expected to know things or read stuff. Idiocracy was really damned funny until I saw the road we're headed down...
- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -2/+24That happened more than 3 days ago.
- heystoopid, on 10/14/2008, -1/+7Lol'd at the teleprompter bit , for the repubtards kept on harping about Obama using one , this is so hilarious :D
- bluezinc, on 10/14/2008, -1/+7“I would hope at least that those protesters have the courage and the honor of thanking our veterans for giving them the right to protest!”
What a ***** bitch. That's the kind of guilt trip your mom pulls on you, not the vice presidential candidate to the country.
Jesus, people really think she'd make a good leader?
I bet she sat in her bed the night before and that little brilliant nugget of an idea of calling protesters cowards/troop haters/america haters, etc popped into her head and she went, "ooh, better write this one down! can't wait to use it on those dirty liberals! you betcha!"- chaseonfire, on 10/14/2008, -1/+4I wish that were true but it no doubt wasn't her idea to say that at all.
- ElbowGeek, on 10/14/2008, -2/+3It really was just her supporters giving the old "seig heil!" She should have been flattered.
- mikesoba, on 10/14/2008, -1/+4But that was the only talking point she had been given if someone yelled loudly at her. What's a gal to do?
- Refrag, on 10/14/2008, -1/+3This is an easy mistake to make when your supporters are all a bunch of unhinged radical nut-jobs.
- PhilLesh69, on 10/15/2008, -0/+2Yeah, especially in Richmond VA. I'm sure the city folk are predominantly democrats, so these people had to have taken the wagon in from the back country a few hours outside Richmond.
I'm sure a good portion were coming in from their survivalist compounds in the woods, you know, the ones with the big red white and black flags, and guard towers and shooting ranges.
- PhilLesh69, on 10/15/2008, -0/+2Yeah, especially in Richmond VA. I'm sure the city folk are predominantly democrats, so these people had to have taken the wagon in from the back country a few hours outside Richmond.
- glasnostic, on 10/14/2008, -1/+4i wonder if she means Reverend Wright, John Kerry and Oliver Stone to name a few when she speaks about veterans who giving them the right to free speech".
- northwatuppa, on 10/14/2008, -2/+2This whole incident is kind of petty, isn't it, and the article sort of trivial? Sort of a BFD. Just an excuse for an orgy petty cheap sarcasm.
I don't think much of Sarah Palin, but this article doesn't exactly go to the heart of any major issues, nor do any of the comments I've seen. Grow up, folks. Get a life.- PhilLesh69, on 10/15/2008, -0/+2Well, what goes around comes around.
She's the one who riled up the fringe lunatics in her party with the obama is a terrorist *****.
Oh wait, did I say fringe?
- PhilLesh69, on 10/15/2008, -0/+2Well, what goes around comes around.
- ssn697, on 10/13/2008, -2/+254Uh, when did the military give us the RIGHT to protest? They make help PROTECT our rights, but they don't GIVE us any rights.
- edmondburke, on 10/13/2008, -9/+114I don't think one can be 'accidentally' ignorant!
- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -2/+38Nah, she's pridefully ignorant.
- docbob84, on 10/14/2008, -1/+9Not to mention profoundly ignorant. And prodigiously ignorant. And for Obama supportors, she's even productively ignorant! She's our best supporter!
- oscenester, on 10/14/2008, -1/+3ignorant(adj): nescient, unlearned, unlettered (uneducated in general; lacking knowledge or sophistication) "an ignorant man"; "nescient of contemporary literature"; "an unlearned group incapable of understanding complex issues"; "exhibiting contempt for his unlettered companions"; Republican
- Haoie, on 10/14/2008, -2/+18And somehow, ignorance gives her more appeal?

- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -3/+8And they accidentally their vote.
McCain wins!
Before you digg me up or down, look up the meme "I accidentally my hard drive".
This link isn't the original, but it sums it up quite well. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=200809 ... - wonderbriefs, on 10/14/2008, -1/+6Accidentally
http://blog.rocketboom.com/post/50867305 - Meocross, on 10/14/2008, -0/+2Hahaha yeah saw you coming a mile away........heh....heh..
THE SIGNS ARE TOO MUCH!
- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -3/+8And they accidentally their vote.
- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -2/+38Nah, she's pridefully ignorant.
- magus_melchior, on 10/13/2008, -5/+78Entertaining, perhaps, but more of a glimpse into an increasingly frustrated campaign. When you can't tell protesters from a legit concern among your supporters, the people outside your circles of support-- the very same people you want to attract-- see another thing to discredit.
- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -1/+14Yeah, when you are so flustered that you lose situational awareness, you are demonstrating how easily you will misunderstand the situation and revert to demagoguery.
- morcheeba, on 10/14/2008, -1/+5Agreed. That is scary.
- seltaeb4, on 10/14/2008, -1/+16Good think she didn't have the launch codes.
- po43292, on 10/14/2008, -1/+8It's 1-2-3-4. Just in case GWB can't remember them.
- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -1/+71234 is too complex.
It's whatever number he presses first.
and if he screws that up, it's just "***** you, I'm the president!"
- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -1/+14Yeah, when you are so flustered that you lose situational awareness, you are demonstrating how easily you will misunderstand the situation and revert to demagoguery.
- VicHislop, on 10/13/2008, -6/+263So Palin's first instinct, when confronted with any sort of friction (either real, or in this case, imagined) is to forcibly draft the "troops" as a defensive shield. Seems like she'll fit right in with this current incarnation of the Republican Party.
- TurdZilla, on 10/14/2008, -0/+50If you don't like what i am saying you Hate America and you Hate the troops.....
- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -1/+27It's called blind demagoguery.
- NevaDieENT, on 10/14/2008, -3/+6It's too bad, Palin may have ruined this whole thing for women, in '12 I doubt you will be seeing women as a strong choice to be put on the ticket unless they have some damn good credentials.
- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -0/+7actually, after Hillary and Palin, a normal, intelligent and rational woman will end up looking like a real option.
She just has to not come across as a bimbo or someone driven by blind ambition. Because those are the two measures that will be used from now on.
- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -0/+7actually, after Hillary and Palin, a normal, intelligent and rational woman will end up looking like a real option.
- winstonc, on 10/14/2008, -0/+4Even if we put aside her error in believing they were protesters, this is still pathetic. Her implication is this: Palin protester --> Troop hater. It plays into her well-worn tactic treating those who oppose her as evil.
- ironhide, on 10/13/2008, -5/+113Aww, she sure has learned the repub tactic of faux outrage quickly.
- uncajoe, on 10/13/2008, -3/+25If they had shouted something like "Your mic is DEAD", It would've contained one of her "keywords" and she would have started listening to their comments!
- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -2/+18No, they should have chanted "KILL THE TERRORISTS BECAUSE WE CAN'T HEAR YOU! OBAMA CUT YOUR MIC!"
- mrcamel, on 10/13/2008, -4/+36I'd love to see that video.
- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -4/+2You should have watched CNN at any point during the day, or one of the national Nightly News broadcasts tonight.
- mojaam, on 10/14/2008, -0/+8I first saw it on MSNBCs Rachel Maddow's show and was stunned. Her husband whispered to her something like: "Umm those are your supporters"

- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -0/+7wow, I just finished watching that video, and they've obviously edited it so that it not only is competely different from when I watched the live broadcast of the 5 o'clock news on channel 7, but it is also completely different from the headline they forgot to edit, "Palin Mistakes Fans for Protesters at Richmond Rally"
That's odd. - mewho, on 10/14/2008, -0/+4Yeah, that was a scary view.

- johnquincysmith, on 10/14/2008, -4/+66Sarah Palin is a very unlikable lady. Just saying.
- Mungo616, on 10/14/2008, -1/+7Her voice is unbelievebly irritating.
- springfels, on 10/14/2008, -11/+16this seems trivial...it won't help with our grassroots campaigning, it's snarky, and looks like we can't find anything substantive to talk about. and certainly our side (biden too) makes gaffes. this feels inconsequential. stop digging it because it dilutes the stronger more meaningful things going on at digg.
like this... http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/CBS_Debunks_McCa ...- jonmlm, on 10/14/2008, -1/+11nah, i like seeing funny stories on digg. sorry if that doesn't mesh well with your campaign plans.
- TrevorBelmont, on 10/14/2008, -1/+16I found it insightful. The fact that she blindly responds to any perceived protest with some canned nonsense about "the troops" is very telling.
- nemrel, on 10/14/2008, -1/+8I agree that this is an important example into her stupidity. What happens if she actually becomes VP and she misunderstands a greeting custom from a foreign leader and ends up insulting them because of her knee jerk reactions? It also goes to show us that Todd Palin is often the smart one of the two.
- bossm4n, on 10/14/2008, -11/+25And I guess you "Accidentally" submitted this under World News instead of 2008 U.S. Election where it belongs?

- Gorgamel, on 10/14/2008, -12/+6Just so people know, I have that and another politics section blocked for this liberal spam, and I bury everything I see with McCain, Palin, Obama, or Biden in the title/description as "wrong topic". Take your spam where it belongs.
- Lythium, on 10/14/2008, -4/+3....And yet you not only bothered to click on the link, but also to read pretty damn far into the comments just to post that you don't care. Mm-hm.
- rondeth, on 10/14/2008, -2/+3You know, just this morning I woke up and ran to the computer, wondering what the hell you were up to. Thanks for the update, keep in touch!
- Gamer2k4, on 10/14/2008, -6/+8I hear that. I blocked Politics just so that I wouldn't have to deal with the single-mindedness of Digg, and I still get this junk. Post in the right topic next time!
- upeneff, on 10/14/2008, -3/+15Who was the Governor of Alaska and is currently running for VP?

- usingpond, on 10/14/2008, -16/+3I'm as frothing a liberal as anyone else, but who gives a *****.
- jgzman, on 10/14/2008, -2/+5Clearly there are people who froth more than us, buddy.
Time to hang up our teeth, I suppose. - Memitim, on 10/14/2008, -0/+2It's one of the few candidate stories that us non-partisans get to enjoy. There actually was a Digg well before the election campaign ramped up and we were into wacky things like stories about prominent people getting caught out for being morons.
- jgzman, on 10/14/2008, -2/+5Clearly there are people who froth more than us, buddy.

- T8erT0T, on 10/14/2008, -1/+13Lol, it reminded me of the time I went to see a Snoop Dogg concert and he kept on thinking he was in Utica, New York instead of Mariaville, New York while shouting out the city to the crowd. He was high out of his mind though, what's her excuse?
- lowtolerance, on 10/14/2008, -1/+10she's just out of her mind.
- docbob84, on 10/14/2008, -0/+4Maybe she's high too, that would explain some things. I'd like to know what exactly she's on, but it would explain some things.
- zombiedepot, on 10/14/2008, -1/+3She's high on Jesus.
- lowtolerance, on 10/14/2008, -1/+10she's just out of her mind.
- enderwiggen16, on 10/14/2008, -20/+4You guys I hate Palin and McCain as much as the next guy, but can we stop making this site Obama campaign propaganda? I like Digg for its shattered remnants of its former glory.
- enderwiggen16, on 10/14/2008, -7/+2Ahyup, getting buried. Oh well I tried.
- TrevorBelmont, on 10/14/2008, -0/+3I like your name, though.

I love that the supporters covered up the "louder" chant with a "Sarah" chant. Then when Todd tells her what's going on I think she says "I knew that"- gunwolf, on 10/14/2008, -8/+1????????????????????????????????????????????????
- jordanlgta, on 10/14/2008, -4/+8Thanks for finding this. Guys, I am voting for Obama, but this isn't that big of a deal. Can we move on to the "real issues" as we all normally say? Palin is an idiot, yes, but this shouldn't be that big of a deal.
- djasshat, on 10/14/2008, -0/+3That's totally true. I was expecting alot different. I think it was pretty reasonable to think that protesters were there from that video, but its still funny that protesters are so common that they are expected.
- IphtashuFitz, on 10/14/2008, -1/+5But it still says something about Palin if she's giving a speech on the economy, the mortgage mess, etc. and when she hears what she thinks are protesters she invokes the military as a rebuke. She can't even stay on message. It would have been MUCH more appropriate for her to rebuke them with a tie to the economy, rather than a non sequitur, since that's what she was talking about at the time.
- Hoffpa, on 10/14/2008, -5/+2can't obama slacks on real issues.
- seltaeb4, on 10/14/2008, -2/+14The Republicans have always had a persecution complex.
- ncapone, on 10/14/2008, -1/+11Wait, she has supporters?
- beachsouthpaw, on 10/14/2008, -1/+51It's like when Dick Cheney shot his friend in the face.........but in a verbal incarnation.
- Spiffjiggins, on 10/14/2008, -1/+4Dude you need more diggs than that! That was awesome!!
- vampire7, on 10/14/2008, -4/+8We all know that Obama/Biden will win.
- cquinnd, on 10/14/2008, -0/+2I won't take that for granted until the end of January.
- db0255, on 10/14/2008, -19/+8Digg me down if you want but I'm sick of people calling Palin dumb. She's unfit to be president, and most probably vice president, but I doubt she's dumb; poor girl just doesn't know what the ***** to say sometimes.
- CrimsonBlur, on 10/14/2008, -3/+16"...poor girl just doesn't know what the ***** to say sometimes. "
Yeah... that's because she's dumb. Honestly, how can you claim she is not dumb, and then describe why she is dumb immediately after that?- dannyboy3020, on 10/14/2008, -3/+3Not knowing what to say makes someone dumb? I'm not saying Palin isn't, but that alone does not necessarily make her dumb.
- Oea420, on 10/14/2008, -2/+2Uhh, I'm not McCain/Palin supporter, but I'd take a guess that's she nervous and in way over her head.
Have you ever started a new job, suddenly you're the only person around... and a customer/client starts asking you questions... and you get flushed and start stuttering.. or you say "Sorry, I'm totally new I can't really help you, hold on"
the latter just isn't an option with a presidential election at stake... so obviously she gets dumbfounded quite easily because, again, she is in way over her head.
I'm sure she's a very smart lady, albeit with some very wrong beliefs and ideals. But by no means do I think she meets the quota of dumb. - heystoopid, on 10/14/2008, -0/+2Thicker then two house bricks put together , is what they would call her down under in Oz .
- db0255, on 10/14/2008, -6/+5Because I don't believe I'm dumb. And I certainly don't believe you're dumb. But I guarantee you that we wouldn't know what the ***** to say to Katie Couric, and couldn't do half as good job as she is doing.
BTW. I dislike Palin as a political choice, I'm voting Obama and I'm unaffiliated.- docbob84, on 10/14/2008, -0/+6Doesn't sound like we're gonna convince you she's an idiot, but that's ok. Think about this though; stupid or not, she let an interview with Katie Couric get her all flustered up. What's she gonna do when she's talking to Russia or France or China? How far is her wink and quirky laugh going to get us?
Maybe she's not dumb. I get the distinct impression she is, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and concede it *might* just be she doesn't talk well in front of cameras. That's not really acceptable in the most powerful office in the world. She might make a fine hockey/soccer/retard-orgy/football mom but she's not presidential material. She was a dumb choice, if not actually dumb herself. - db0255, on 10/14/2008, -2/+2I just dislike when people throw that crap around. Dumb, maybe. Completely unqualified, absolutely. There's a difference.
- docbob84, on 10/14/2008, -0/+6Doesn't sound like we're gonna convince you she's an idiot, but that's ok. Think about this though; stupid or not, she let an interview with Katie Couric get her all flustered up. What's she gonna do when she's talking to Russia or France or China? How far is her wink and quirky laugh going to get us?
- FreddieD, on 10/14/2008, -1/+6You do make a point. The only thing she can ever seem to do is run away and hide behind her pre-subscribed talking points whenever she's not armed with a teleprompter. However, I have a tough time believing that the governor of any state is really a stupid person (even a republican in alaska might have an instant cakewalk in the general election, but they have to beat out a ton of competition in the primaries).
I don't consider myself an unintelligent person. However, if I was doing those interviews with Katie Couric or Charlie Gibson, I would have way blown most of the questions and looked like an ass. Then again I'm an engineer and not a politician, nor would I ever want to be one at any level.
Perhaps she is not a dumb person, she would just make a better motivational speaker than she would a politician?- Memitim, on 10/14/2008, -0/+3Politics is a popularity contest, not a Mensa tryout. Political offices worldwide have been packed full of dumbasses since the first caveman who just happened to be bigger and meaner than the others smacked a couple of people and declared himself chief.
- db0255, on 10/14/2008, -3/+2Exactly. Thank you Freddie!!! :-)
- JoeVet, on 10/14/2008, -0/+3She is dumb as a rock and has no business running for vice president of the United States. If she had half a brain she would know she is unqualified and bow out for the sake of the country. Choosing her in the first place tells you all you need to know about McCain's judgment.
- CrimsonBlur, on 10/14/2008, -3/+16"...poor girl just doesn't know what the ***** to say sometimes. "
- wshwe, on 10/14/2008, -3/+14Palin shows once again she is a dipstick!
- megapeg, on 10/14/2008, -1/+7Huh? Lipstick? What?
- JoeVet, on 10/14/2008, -1/+2Why are you insulting all the innocent dipsticks out there?
- PhilLesh69, on 10/14/2008, -2/+17Way to demonstrate situational awareness when you are running for the second position in the executive branch!
- nemrel, on 10/14/2008, -0/+4you make that sound so smart-like and almost

- cobophers, on 10/14/2008, -1/+6Thank you veterans for allowing us to voice our freedoms.....and you veterans deserve the best possible candidates for office. Especially one that won't take advantage of his POW status when convenient or another that is totally ignorant and inept to replace if god forbid a 4th bout of melanoma strikes.
Like I have to clarify..... - slyzxx, on 10/14/2008, -2/+8Just by listening to her you can tell she is not fit run this country, She does not know what is going on, No clue in domestic or international matters she`s just a puppet for macbush to get into office.
At least for being a woman in that position get your ***** straight learn from Hillary she did n`t ***** up as much. - protonone, on 10/14/2008, -11/+5Buried because I no longer want to see any negative things about McCain/Palin on the front page when politics and election news are turned off.
- DKNUCKLES, on 10/14/2008, -2/+10My God!
I'm so sick of her bringing up the war and the people "fighting for their freedom to protest" when heckled.
Look up "Palin Heckler" on youtube and you'll see what I mean.
Get some new material Sarah. - NorthMass, on 10/14/2008, -7/+2It is sad how awful the two major presidential candidates are and how awful their vice presidential candiates are in addition.

- slyzxx, on 10/14/2008, -9/+1What is the use of voting ? the electoral college is just going to vote for whom ever they want so maccain and palin welcome to the white house
- qbsean10, on 10/14/2008, -0/+4Are you still in junior high?
- slyzxx, on 10/14/2008, -2/+1yes
- Kabloink, on 10/14/2008, -0/+4Is this the latest tactic to reduce the number of people voting for Obama? Attempting to convince them that their votes won't count so they will be discouraged and decide not to vote.
- qbsean10, on 10/14/2008, -0/+4Are you still in junior high?
- patpl22391, on 10/14/2008, -12/+1This is one of the biggest non stories on digg yet. Keep it up guys!
- securitymonkey, on 10/14/2008, -2/+118Dear Gov. Palin,
As a Veteran of the United States Armed Forces, I would like to point out that we didn't GIVE anyone the right to protest.
We did, however, PROTECT the right to protest.
Kindly stop speaking in public about Veterans.
Love, A Veteran- shadowspawn, on 10/14/2008, -0/+26I have to say thank you. From one to another.
Don't tread on me, I say to those like Palin.
Do not tread on me. - misfit410, on 10/14/2008, -9/+1So when our armed Militia kicked King Georges boys back across the sea that did not give us the right to protest?
- IphtashuFitz, on 10/14/2008, -0/+7No, it did not. And you obviously know nothing about the history of the USA. It's the new government that was formed, that wrote the Declaration of Independence and adopted the Constitution of the United States, that gives us the right to protest. It's the military that was commissioned by that government that protects those rights.
- shadowspawn, on 10/14/2008, -0/+26I have to say thank you. From one to another.
