- robinthehood, on 08/09/2008, -2/+5God how sad is this world? Bernie Mac gets 7000+ diggs and Mahmoud Darwish only has 22.... I loved Bernie Mac he was an amazing comedian, but Mahmoud was a living legend. This man toiled through his 67 years opening the eyes and minds of people around the world. The old guard is slowly dying and I'm really afraid of who are going to replace them. This truly is a sad day.

- chillychipmonk, on 08/10/2008, -5/+1I say again, I hope he's enjoying his 72 virgins in hell.
- writie, on 08/10/2008, -2/+5"Racist, terrorist, pro-genocide propagandist"
What makes you say that?- Tangaroa, on 08/10/2008, -3/+3The fact that he was one. Get an education.
- robinthehood, on 08/10/2008, -1/+4To Tangaroa: What makes you say this, do you know for a face that Mahmoud was a racist? Do you know he was a pro-genocide propagandist?
To chillychipmonk: That has to be one of the most ignorantly racist things I have heard come out of someones keyboard.- Tangaroa, on 08/10/2008, -3/+3Yes, I know for a fact that he was a racist. He lost his Israeli citizenship for promoting racism which is very hard to do, and he became an executive committee member in the racist Palestine Liberation Organization whose cause is to exterminate the Jews from the Jewish homeland. He then resigned that position in protest of the peace talks of 1993. Darwish was an enemy of peace and he used his writing ability to raise support for the PLO's war against the Jews.
- Lynx55, on 08/10/2008, -2/+5I am ashamed that someone would say anything that offensive about someone who has passed. I almost feel like I should be apologizing to someone.
I don 't think many knew of him, which is why there are not many diggs. Then you add the word "Palestinian" and immediately it goes negative. It is wrong. But it "is.
May he rest in peace. His words will live on.
