- writie, on 11/20/2008, -0/+7Excellent initiative. Any peace settlement will have to have the support of large parts of Israeli and Palestinian populations. As absolutely nothing is happening on the diplomatic front although the siege of Gaza continues, this is a good move. Get the debate going again on the basis of facts.
What's more, I think it is about time the Palestinian Authority starts acting as leaders rather than sitting by and waiting for Ms Livni or someone to call. Talking directly to the people of Israel is a strong, positive move. - inactive, on 11/22/2008, -0/+3Jerusalem is not split.
- inactive, on 11/23/2008, -0/+3@writie - there are different areas, but they sort of merge into one another. One of the first things Israel did after conquering / liberating / occupying (whatever term you choose to use - which I don't want to get into) the eastern portion of the city, was to tear down the walls that divided the city.
- COINTELPROAgent, on 11/22/2008, -1/+4Part of the "plan" is to split Jerusalem. Is that what they call "a just solution to the refugee crisis"?
- foopirata, on 11/23/2008, -0/+2They are under the same municipal authority.

- writie, on 11/22/2008, -3/+2Jerusalem is already split. Palestine just wants to hold onto East Jerusalem.
