- chrissku, on 12/09/2008, -5/+69Why is Pakistan being so uncooperative in this crisis? Are they trying to start a war with India?
- onlysc, on 12/09/2008, -10/+63how long before they nuke each other?????
- freezerburn666, on 12/09/2008, -8/+57oh ***** everyone on this goddamn planet, what a bunch of ***** *****.
- eastwood24, on 12/09/2008, -8/+51Pakistan is slowly becoming a failed state.
- URnotheonly1, on 12/09/2008, -13/+51India, you could do the world a big favor
- inactive, on 12/09/2008, -0/+30That's precisely why she's dead.
- pjosemroy, on 12/09/2008, -7/+36When Zardari was interviewed by Indian media, soon after the terror attacks, everyone was inquiring him when he was going to send the ISI director and whether he would take action against perpetrators but none asked whether he would hand over those criminals.
As any former head of Pakistan, Zardari is harping on the same old note that the accused would be tried in their soil.
Don't give India this, Mr. President. India has heard this a hundred times. Sham is a Shame!
Learn from the history, person, people or peoples who have shielded criminals will be destroyed by those very criminals. It is pure psychology, because destructive elements always wants to destroy, and they don't care what they destroy. - bigsheldy, on 12/09/2008, -9/+37***** Pakistan. This is blatantly promoting terrorism and makes me think they had something to do with it. You guys need to remember that it's not just people from some country around the world that died, it was an attack on tourists as well. Makes me sick.
- selmer, on 12/09/2008, -7/+31You don't have to hand them over Pakistan. You go right ahead and do whatever you like.
(just don't come running to us when you are getting your ass kicked) - 3gibberish4q57, on 12/09/2008, -5/+29Well, they did say they were planning on going after the culprits under their own laws. A lot of countries won't extradite criminals in certain situations.
- TheJimid, on 12/09/2008, -5/+28I wish Bhutto hadn't gotten killed right now. Even is she had a finger in the piggy bank she might of stopped what might happen here.
- diggduggDOOM, on 12/09/2008, -3/+26I'm sure the Pakistani government will treat the guilty parties harshly, just like they did with AQ Khan...
- siddred, on 12/09/2008, -0/+22becoming?!? it has been one for the past decade or so.
- theviceroy, on 12/09/2008, -1/+19becoming?!?
- inactive, on 12/09/2008, -3/+21I could give a ***** less. ***** will go down sooner or later. Israel vs Iran or Syria, or India vs Pakistan. It's just a matter of time. Nothing anyone can do.
- reaper527, on 12/09/2008, -2/+20obama has advocated military involvement in pakistan...
- hydroplane, on 12/09/2008, -5/+22Pakistan refuses to cooperate until Indian officials answer the critical question: How can she slap??!??
- DiscoLando, on 12/09/2008, -2/+19... and the cycle renews itself once again.
- UNDERSTAR, on 12/09/2008, -0/+17This will not end well.
- muleskinner, on 12/09/2008, -5/+22I can't really blame them for not handing over their own citizens. If a group of American terrorists committed a similar crime in, say, Russia, how willing do you think the US government would be to hand over its "suspects"?
- kingmanic, on 12/09/2008, -3/+19Although the cost in innocent civilian Pakistani and Indian lives would be tremendous a radioactive Pakistan may go a long ways to reducing global terrorism as their tribal northern area's seem to be havens for Terrorist cells. The remoteness and the radical nature of those tribes contribute to this.
I am not recommending this, simply saying that a lot of that northern area seems to be implicated in searches for terrorists and extremists as well as being the heart of many stories on the perverse application of Sharia Law (like stoning of rape victims and 8 year old marrying middle aged men). - redwash1, on 12/09/2008, -2/+16There goes our world class Dell support...
- inajeep, on 12/09/2008, -4/+18If there was nuke war between India and Pak, imagine the customer support problems we would experience? Those unanswered calls trying to get RMAs? Dell, Microsoft and hundreds of other US companies would have to in-source support. Not to mention the programing issues? Where would we find all those people to fill those vacant overseas jobs?
Seriously, I hope it doesn't come to trading nukes because quite frankly the world is as screwed up as it can be without bringing nuclear weapons into it. We have soliders in the area and if they were caught in the middle we'd have to step in, then China, Russia, Israel then the sky will have truly fallen. - WNW3, on 12/09/2008, -0/+13I believe you mean goggles...I also believe they do nothing.
- Beautyon, on 12/09/2008, -5/+18They really arent that stupid. They all know that they are being played:
They will not go to war over this. Period. Their culture is too old to be destroyed for the sake of 200 people, no matter who they are or how they were killed. - PeanutCheeseBar, on 12/09/2008, -6/+19They don't need to be brought over to India to be punished; they'll probably be reduced to ash along with the rest of the population when India finally gets tired of this ***** and nukes Pakistan back into the Stone Age.
- glhf, on 12/09/2008, -0/+13Franz was the straw that broke the camels back. WWI happened because of long standing tensions and overzealous alliances.
- inactive, on 12/09/2008, -1/+13becoming?
- Wingdom, on 12/09/2008, -3/+15World War 3 anyone?
- inactive, on 12/09/2008, -15/+26We should just nuke em both, problem solved. In my experience as a military strategist in Civ4 (PC) and Civilization Revolution (Available for X360/PS3 at $35) I learned that using nukes are a cost-efficient and effective way of reaching conflict resolution. We just need to have flexible morals in order to use them.
- inactive, on 12/09/2008, -2/+13This will not go down well. Just when we were gonna stop our stupid war, somene else has gotta start ***** to cause another one. Why do people suck so bad? : /
All in favor of stripping them of their nuclear arsenal, say aye..... - theviceroy, on 12/09/2008, -1/+12WHOPPR already found out you can't win a war with tactical nukes. the only way to win is not to play.
- pwnshaman, on 12/09/2008, -3/+14Matt Drudge didn't plan and organize the murder of civilians and foreign nationals.
- nayans, on 12/09/2008, -1/+11nothing is going to happen, polls in india are about 4 months away and after a few days everyone forgets....its kinda sad and pathetic but that is how things are done in india. pakistan arrested these guys only to show that they are doing something, they are placed in an house arrest where they will obviously have access to all the communication they need to plan out their next wave of attack... india should just bomb PoK and take out those training camps themselves but i doubt that is going to happen...
- sanman, on 12/09/2008, -3/+13Pakistan and India are like Cain and Abel.
Both are famous for their IT exports.
India exports Information Technology.
Pakistan exports Islamic Terrorism.
Both countries are participating in Globalization.
India pursues Global Outsourcing.
Pakistan pursues Global Jihad.
I know which one I prefer out of the 2 countries. - inactive, on 12/09/2008, -1/+11Pakistan is doing what it always does with India; It's being infuriating on purpose, just to get its digs in. It's been doing this forever, with both mundane idiocies (like not letting certain vegetables across the border on sunny tuesdays before noon) and the giant ***** like this.
Dear New Delhi:
Do the entire planet the biggest favor of its history and incinerate the *****. - VijaR, on 12/09/2008, -2/+12If Khalid Sheikh and other related to 9/11 attacks planning can be handed over to USA, why not hand over mumbai attack planners to India? You never insisted 9/11 planners to be tried in Pakistan... Why Pakistan Why??
- mozidesigner, on 12/09/2008, -1/+11Looking at a lot of the comments stating to fire off the nukes, to wipe out the terror cells is disturbing. Sure it's quick fix and bad one too, is it worth nuclear fallout of regions bordering Pakistan and India?
Hopefully it does not resort to that, unless both countries have an itchy trigger finger then not are only innocent people ***** on both sides but global repercussions will bite (most countries) in the ass so hard that we would wish nuclear warfare between neighboring nations never occurred.
However, if you still feel the need to root for nuking then by all means continue, just stopping in to remind of future consequences... one of which would suck for India, if radiation made it's way up to China harming their citizens that had nothing do with the age long bickering of Pakistan and India, due to India launching a nuke to solve it's problems, China would probably retaliate against India and a downward spiral would ensue... - Kosh, on 12/09/2008, -1/+11Yeah, you're going to get dugg down. See you.
- wishnuv, on 12/09/2008, -0/+10I'm sorry to break your bubble, but the ISI has been waging a proxy-war in Kahsmir through militancy & terrorism using groups such as Lakshar-e-Toiba. So yes, the state does sponsor terrorism, and they have a long history of doing it.
These days ISI has gone rogue, and the civilian government is not completely in control of the army situation. I feel like there is a power struggle going on. Zardari seems like a moderate sensible guy from what he has said so far. Yes Pakistanis are victims as well, but they are reaping what their government/ISI/army sowed.
However, a nuclear war would be devastating for both nations - Pakistan has enough military power to cause significant damage to India, thanks to the American warplanes. - degree, on 12/09/2008, -1/+10wars have been started over much less :[
it seems like sometimes a small incident can cause for a very angry cascade to follow. - sanman, on 12/10/2008, -0/+9Actually, I have been to Pakistan. The problem with Pakistanis is that they're heavy on emotion but sparse on ethics and common sense. They were the most heavily US-pampered Muslim country during the Cold War, and yet they consider themselves with persecuted. If the world really was out to get Pakistan, then it wouldn't exist anymore. It's not like Pakistan is surviving by valiantly overcoming the harassment of the world. The country is surviving financially by begging for money from the IMF. So they can't even pay their own way. Their topline weapons systems like the F16 are provided by the US - the very country they're threatening to shoot at if it tries to get Taliban/AlQaeda on their territory. Certainly, the Saudis are suspects in terrorism, but they have no territory under control of Taliban or known exporters of terrorism. Furthermore, the whole Western drive for energy independence (solar, wind, tidal, etc) is motivated by more than just environmental concerns, but for achieving independence from dangerous suppliers like Saudi Arabia. Pakistan's closest ally is Saudi Arabia, btw. No coincidence there. If the elected Pakistani govt is so in charge, then why do they bow to the whims of the Army? The elected govt has to ask the army for permission to make any decision on appointments. Recently, they promised to send the ISI Chief to India, and then quickly had to backpeddle when the Army objected. That's not democracy or civilian rule -- that's military rule from the shadows.

- inactive, on 12/09/2008, -3/+12WHAT ARE YOU? CHICKEN?
- ehalasey, on 12/09/2008, -8/+16Why is this news? The Pakistani government stated quite clearly at the outset that anyone they apprehend on their soil will be tried on their soil. The moment to voice outrage at this policy was when the statement was made, not now that suspects have been apprehended. This is ALL KINDS of fear mongering by the news media, and I can't believe you all are buying it.
- thebaron2, on 12/09/2008, -3/+11This seems like an example in which a country SHOULD make an exception TO extradite, even if they normally don't.
A lot of countries won't extradite criminals in general, but WILL make exceptions for high-profile cases like this. It sure does look shady as hell, regardless of what Pakistan's intentions are. - kakwakas, on 12/09/2008, -0/+8Even a small nuclear exchange, like India launching nukes at Pakistan, is enough to have major effects on the entire world.
