Unfriggin' believable! And this was Obama's great idea to go after Osama in Pakistan. How stupid does he look now? - ad33lshahid, on 09/06/2008, -0/+12bomb ur allies without their permission and violate their territorial integrity repeatedly.. sounds like something israel would do, except america would never have the guts to cut off israel's supply lines
- Doxocopa, on 09/07/2008, -0/+1You know something? - I think "someone" high up in the US Administration wants American troops OUTSIDE the country... there is no other explanation to expose them on very hostile countries... for nothing!
WHY????
"Something is rotten and stenching in the Kingdom of Denmark"

quote:
Afghanistan is in a tough spot. The country is reliant on the U.S. and NATO for its security and, at the same time, shares its longest land border with Iran. Afghanistan has long pleaded with the U.S. and Iran not to carry out their longstanding strategic rivalry on its soil. And for several years that request has been largely honored. Iran, a long-time supporter of the Northern Alliance, was instrumental in bringing about the fall of the Taliban. Iran has also helped more than any other neighbor with the reconstruction of the country.

So what about the ground link through Iran? (smiley face)
Guess regime change in Iran comes with a price.
Sure would have been a lot easier without the invasion of Afghanistan. All Bush had to do was provide evidence that Bin Laden was involved in 9/11 and the Taliban would have handed Bin Laden over for trial. Can we have the evidence, please? 'Course if we hadn't invaded the Taliban would have done an oil deal with that Argentinian consortium (Bridas) instead of the Bush consortium. Where is Bin Laden - Pitofdoom, on 09/06/2008, -0/+6Oh, what a 2000 year old tangled web we've gotten ourselves in !
All for money, power and fame. Brought on evil powers and principalities. - debunkthelies, on 09/06/2008, -0/+8This is another example of the results of America's policy of eternal war with the rest of the planet.
- cashman57, on 09/06/2008, -0/+6So now we see the stupidity of the OBushmaplan for war.The reason I call him OBushma is because his foreign policy statements are almost as well thought out as "W".
Stay the course, keep angering allies.
Look who was just elected in Pakistan, an anti-American politician who has been a very vocal critic of this administration.
Russia went broke trying to control Afghanistan and they had easy access. Now we are cut off and we are not in any strategic position to do anything about it.
The folly of what passes for foreign policy is incredible.
Did anyone outside of DC not see this coming?
